If she comes back, win win for you and if she doesn't it's surely not the end of the road for you.. But whatever happens please and please don't put yourself on hold, live your best at anytime and be happy.
Why should he accept a lady who didn’t believe in him in the first place. Let him move on. If I were him, I would relocate to the same province and ignore her.

*smiles* she started way earlier. And I can't hold on to her on things she knows or do not know in PR application.
BTW, to the best of my knowledge only a family member/spouse can be included in PR application. Our relationship isn't up to a year yet.
I wasn't gonna rush anyone cos I want PR.

But then on the hustle up part, that is a must. I have to.
What province are u in BTW
She can include you as a spouse. You were in a relationship right - if she was serious, both of you get married and she includes you in the application. A court wedding is sufficient. However, let’s pretend that she is ignorant about it. However, she wants to move on and explore her options - I know. One year is sufficient enough for her to know if she wants to spend the rest of her life with you.

Get your money up. Get off Facebook and/or social media that reminds you of her. You will only get irritated cos she would be posting lovely pictures even if her life isnt moving according to plan.

I’m in Ontario.

:PDon't be scared.

Do you know what to dohuh

Option 1: Dont panic, u have a focused girlfriend, a wonderful one and I see why u are worried but don't panic, stay focused.

If u guys are of age and if she loves u as u do, u guys should get married via court wedding asap so u know she is still yours wherever she is.

Option 2: make sure u are upgrading yourself financially too. Work hard, pray and stay focused and stay financially okay so u don't end up becoming a leech or a dependent calling her for financial help in future.

Once u are doing well financially on your own and not asking her for money, she will still respect u and come back as God and nature wills.

Never u ever ask her to send u money in future, if possible send money to her when she is in need and if u have.

Don't go womanizing with all these valueless girls that full everywhere as a way of cooling off, don't do that, focus on your job if u have one or your business or trade if u have one or your studies if a student.

Only time will tell!

Contrary to what many guys believe, there are some reserved and well cultured ladies.

A friend of mine met a lady online (Facebook I guess) who relocated abroad some years back. They started dating online, the guy was in Naija the lady was abroad. They dated for some months, close to a year, and the guy being that he really wanted to settle down, indirectly asked her if she is okay if they marry and run distant families; she/kids there and he in Naija, she laughed according to my frnd.

With time, she noticed the guy was serious, she agreed and came down and they married.

To his surprise, she was a virgin!!!

My point is, who knows maybe when she relocated abroad then, her Naija boyfriend got angry, frustrated and maybe quit the relationship believing he has lost her as she will go there screwing every T, D and H, but he was wrong.

Give her the benefit of doubt, and work hard to ensure u are doing okay here, believe me she will come back to u because guys abroad hardly marry ladies over there with them cos they most times prefer our Naija based ladies; maybe due to ego.

So don't feel its over, she's still your girl if she truly loved u and I hope she is above 25yrshuh

A lot of ladies abroad still come back to Nigeria to marry their boyfriends they left behind, majority do. Its even the guys that don't usually come back to their girlfriends they left in Naija, but majority of ladies come back especially if they are above 25yrs and probably a graduate when they left Nigeria.

But if she is like 20yrs or sth going abroad to study as undergraduate, hmmm, u can reduce your expectation of her coming back to u sha.

So guys must stop being egotistical with issues like this cos if u were the one that relocated, I am sure she won't quit, she will be happy that her guy relocated to a better land for their better good but here u are crying blue murder for no cause, Naija guys sha, we de try cheesy
They only come back when nobody dey look their face and men no Dey look women face here especially black women

Yeah CA
That lady was never interested in you. If she was, you would know. I live in Canada. I know the process. She can still file for you if she wants to. Is she in contact with you? Is she discussing about bringing you over?

She wants to explore her options here and if no luck she might get across to you. However, move on - I know why I’m saying this. During PR application, you can add someone into your application even at the latter stage.

Man, hustle up and shine.

Jogunomi1:
Newly married! Yes, they have it in their subconscious mind the backup plans irrespective of the level of love in the marriage. I will advice men never to go into marriage without solid financial backup if they can't tolerate nonsense from women. My wife is very mature. But her being not tech savvy oftentimes smuggles misunderstandings into our union. For instance, she claimed to have sent me a message and I intentionally refused to reply. She ought to have set her phone's message setting to "show delivery report". She would have seen whether her message was delivered or not. Her message was not delivered, and I already texted her that I wouldn't be able to answer her myriad of incoming calls at the point in time, and should send message only.
Lol don’t worry - give it some time. I experienced the same and almost gave up. Was surprised my dad experienced the same with my mom too. Plus met some friends - it women nature. With time it reduces, but it never goes away. It just reduces gradually.

Don’t be afraid to talk. Many men don’t talk about their marital challenges and end up hitting the brick wall. Talk to friends, elderly men and trusted folks. You’d be surprised that you are not alone and it makes it easier for you to know that it’s women nature - maybe expressed differently but still women nature.

However, for the OP case, the women nature plus stronger power dynamics would frustrate him, make him feel insecure and less of a man. Every little issue would be centred around him being a younger man or providing economically lesser than the wife. She would emasculate him, very typical for women. She would manipulate him, another typical behavior for women and because he earns less or younger than the wife, he would interpret it differently. My main concern for him is how her friends and her family would treat him.

In all, he should not marry that woman and he should consider looking for another job too.

Love is blind, but open eyes before you enter marriage because when your marriage finally collapse you will never be the same again.

He has to find another job or be promoted to her level. I'm two months older than my wife. She was earning better than I did 3 months ago. Today, I earn better than her. In our first fight, she was angry when I bought data with money in her bank account - giving her cash to save my trip to bank for lodgment - saying she doesn't like having cash in hand. During our second fight, she stopped cooking foods at home for family and refused to use anything in the house bought with my money. I was not worried because I had already started looking for a house I will once in a while go to whenever she starts her nonsense. After some days, she started crying profusely.
I’m sorry about your plight. I don’t know if you are newly married. That’s women for you. Ignore her during issues but ensure that your power and influence do not reduce in the family. It’s good you have increased your earning capacity- regardless of what you think she would be concerned. Most men do not understand that women have this innate insecurity or fear and sometimes such fears drive them to do inexplicable things.

Your wife would come around especially when she begins to see that you are truly committed in the marriage and when old age begin to settle in (laughs)- they all do.

Men know this - your wife or girlfriend is always thinking if this marriage/relationship breaks what is their backup plan. They will never own up, but they all do

I am seriously tempted to outline my preferences on here, see if there is anyone who meets or almost meets them and then explore a friendship targeted at a purposeful relationship.

Ok.. I am just going to do that...( God works in mysterious ways). I am looking for a lady with the following attributes:

Christian: ( Born Again preferably CAC/RCCG) Family Background) It will be nice if the parents are well involved in Ministry
Educated: At least first degree with good academic records ( evidence of a budding career or business ( business is preferred)
Personality: Mild Introversion ( I am an extrovert, can talk for Africa, life of the party, multiple chain of friends, big baby etc)
Ministry: Must be involved in Ministry work ( it will be good if she is good with children and old people, I love these people)
Spirituality: She must be someone who understands the significance of ceaseless praying and the fact that we are all that we are by the grace of God ( so she will be humble and be able to exude grace and compassion). For instance, it takes humility and wisdom to even consider this online advert.
Life's ambition: She must be someone who really wants to make heaven and whose life's ambitions are subject to their alignment with that goal.
Ethnic: I am sorry, but I really will prefer a Yoruba Lady ( preferably an Ijesha ( or any other town in OSUN, Oyo or Ekiti)
Age: 24-27
Physique: Slim with nothing particularly conspicuous
Complexion : Dark ( chocolate)
Eyes: Big or moderate eyeballs with heavy eyelids ( the physical attributes are desirable but not compulsory)
Height: I am 5:8, so that is the maximum height.
Interests (movies, road trips, hosting guests, cooking and fashion)
Dressing: I need it to be obvious from your dressing that you are a Christian ( No rainbow colours on the face, no heavy jewelries and definitely no skimpy dresses outside of the house)
I am sorry, you will also need to still be a VIRGIN. I respect every woman regardless of their sexual history but for this position, a Virgin will be more appropriate.
Location: Preferably Lagos but if you have access to the social media ( location should not be an immediate barrier).

MY CREDENTIALS

I am a christian, male, professional in his early 30s. The qualities I want in my woman ( as stated above) sufficiently defines who I am. If you are interested PM me and you will be free to conduct your due diligence.

Your story keeps shifting the goal post. Which reasonable landlord would refuse N35K with a promise in hand to pay up the remaining at the end of the month in view of your present circumstances?

I’m sorry I don’t believe your story and I’m also sorry if it is true. There are a lot of scammers these days. If you have N35K give your landlord or better still explain your circumstances to your employer who can give you Cash Advance and deduct the amount at the end of the month.

So i'm preparing to get married. My wife to be is from a poor family. I'm comfortable. The issue is the church they want us to do the wedding is one wooden stall small church building that I just can't come to terms with. So I suggested if they have maybe a churchHQ that has a proper building where one can conduct a decent church service, they dont...Ok I also suggested let's just do the service in Hotel either at the conference centre or Banquet hall. We will decorate the place as a church and export their church members there, I don't just want a wedding in that there church, He said No. Now we are at impasse and I do want a church wedding but my Father-In-Law to be is very very stubborn and wants us to have the wedding in a church that is just wood and planks. Please advise as you see fit
Power dynamics and influence. I guess you would be having loggerheads with your father-in-law in the future. I cannot advise you on this because it is sensitive. However, you would soon come to terms to know what power dynamics means in a marriage.

What I can say is - play your cards well, but let your father-in-Law know you are not a push over.

Another quick question seniors, i've been doing some research on kijiji and i see a lot of general labor jobs in Ontario some even requesting for immediate start. How hard or easy is it to get these jobs. Am planning on landing next month and i want to get my feet on the ground immediately to avoid POF running out as i look for my career jobs.
If you have the license - great or you can work towards having the license. I know many of us like going back to school. Not bad especially if you want to change your professional. However, my main advice is avoid it if you can and pursue other professions like getting skilled or sitting for professional certifications - they are cheaper and even more valuable.

I know a Truck driver, who is actually a Nigerian too. He makes some good change. Truck drivers earn $5,000 per month on average and they even work for themselves which means a truck driver can earn $10,000 per month. If he picks up for two or more companies.

Skilled labour is very cool even carpentry. Don’t look down on it and be struggling with $25 - $30 per hour job. Skilled labour earn more.
Romance › Re: A Senior Female Colleague Wants Me To Marry Her by Boss13: 10:50am On Oct 10, 2018
All these people advising you to marry her are not married. I am going to be blunt with you - YOU HAVE VIOLATED ALL RULES IN A RELATIONSHIP

First Violation - Never enter or prolong a relationship with a colleague. This is where you make your income. You should never mess with your income. Now not only are you dating a colleague, you are also dating a senior colleague.

Love is the last issue to consider during marriage
Never marry for love only. Conduct your due diligence properly. Married people will tell you that there are times your partner disgust you. Those times will come during marriage, you cannot escape it. Look at your in-laws, especially the mother, investigate her sisters if they are married

Power Dynamics- In marriage, whoever has the more influence and power dynamics dictates the marriage. In your case, it seems your wife has more influence. Automatically, you will never earn the respect you should. Her friends will never respect you, her family will never respect you. Possibly, your children may not respect you because she is the breadwinner. These are the things that will eat you up in that marriage. Erode your ego and make you contemplate suicide.

Women Change - You keep hearing that women change when they marry and that’s 100% FACT. They change that some don’t even know they have changed. The first change you would noticed is after child birth. Apart from the physical change, her attention would move towards the child. This is nature and normal with women. Any married man who tell you that this is when you begin to feel like a visitor in your house. Regular sex turns to routine sex and then to less sex and possibly lesser sex or no sex depending on her mood swing. I don’t know your wife’s age, but for her to consider marrying you means she is not young anymore because the average woman marry up and not down - that’s women HYPERGAMY for you. So be prepared for some physical change such as natural enlargement due to child birth which may no longer make her attractive anymore and even worse due to her age. Also, be prepared for emotional changes too. It is the emotional change that will mess you up.

Young man, if you plan on being married, you must plan on being in it for the long haul and not to venture into it. Marriage is not an exercise or a test game. The kind of woman you marry determines how far and well you would be. In your case, there are many red flags. The number one is your DOUBT and that is why you are here seeking advice. Listen to this, never marry a woman who has more influence than you - NEVER. It is better to be poor and have peace of mind in your home than to marry a rich woman - YOU WILL REGRET IT.

For those cajoling you to proceed that loves conquers all or are more materially inclined due to her wealth - let them venture into it. I have advised you as I would advised my younger brother or my son when he is ready to get married. MARRIAGE IS NOT A JOKE!!!

By the way, she is in Ontario ... and it seems like she is a single mother meaning she will be getting the Canada child benefit each month.

She can't be on welfare as a full time student.
Welfare will ask her to apply for OSAP in Ontario
The amount OSAP paid each year is dependent on her income and not on the course nor the program duration.
Given that she hadn't filed any tax yet, I am sure she will get a HUGE amount this year.
However, she can accept the grant and return the loan if I am not mistaken. I am sure the amount of grant alone will be enough to cover her living expenses.
That’s means she is a permanent resident. Like I said the amount she gets depends on the course and duration. However, Ontario government officials are sympathetic to single mothers and may assist her to get a good sum. There are other programs for single mothers, all she needs to do is visit the Ontario Service Centre close to her or Newcomer offices. They would also direct her to Charitable organizations that can provide her with aid, free accommodation, clothing and even furniture. These are actually provided to new comers, but no accommodation for newcomers. She can also apply for after school daycare subsidy where her child can wait for her till she is done for the day. Child care Subsidy is free too.

In Canada, more Particularly Ontario - you need to ask. If you don’t ask, nobody would direct you. With grant, child benefit and part time job, she can live a normal life. However, I don’t know how she would cope with studies and child care. It really tough for even a two parenthold here. Oh there are some religious centers that can also assist too - Non Nigerian centers (those ones are after your offering and tithes). Don’t be ashamed to ask, you would be shocked. Some of these churches have accommodations.

Like I have said - Ask and you shall receive.

- Now to the young idiot who was asking why I want to know. A clearer picture ensue a clearer and direct answer.

To answer your question Madam properly, before I was interrupted. Surviving on minimum wage as a student is difficult. On a positive note, your tuition is already being paid for. If you are on a student visa, you would be restricted on the number of hours to work. If you are a PR, there are flexible programs that can support you.

The amount you get from OSAP (grant on loan) is dependent on your course and program duration. This is available for PR. Explore this option if your a PR. If you are not, there are other programs that can support you - Charitable organization for minority. I don’t know the province you are going to, and before nosy demented creatures poke their noses again, do not be afraid to ask questions. Visit service organizations, each province have welfare programs that can assist you, including accommodation. It may be tough but tough people last longer.
