Myself and my fiance graduated 5yrs ago, I have a B.Eng Petroleum and Gas while she has a BSc. Accounting. I have about 2yrs experience working with Huawei Telecommunications as a site maintenance engr- Airtel Tel while my fiance has about 1yr work exp with a micro finance bank. Both of us not working currently but into farming full time. To God be the glory we are expecting a baby, We hope to take our 7yrs relationship into a bigger home as soon as our baby arrives and most importantly availability of finance.

Being a man of many ambition @36 with limited opportunities in Nigeria my hope is gradually dwindling so I came up with the decision to relocate with my fiance.

So this is where I need advice, assist and help on best,cheapest and the fastest means we can immigrate out of Nigeria to have a better life.

What kind/class of visa app will suit our profile?
Can I carry out the visa processing myself because I rlly don't have much money these processing guys are charging?
How much budget will be needed from start to finish for a family of 3?(2adults+1infant)
My intention immigrating is mainly to go into faming abroad but I will have to work first after arriving to save up before that, so, which country among Canada, USA or Australia and best state/province will fit into this plan in mind?

You are into farming - that’s a lot opportunities. Are you aware that there was food scarcity in Nigeria at one point. Maybe you are not offering the right food products, which you need to consider. When there are financial difficulties, the easiest to blame is the country. However, if you look deep, Nigeria has a lot of business and economic opportunities especially in the Agricultural sector.

Relocating is not an easy way out. Both you and your combined have limited job experience and have left the Corporate world for a while. Even if you migrate, you need some updating to do and that’s money.

Look - I’m not trying to discourage you. Just want you to have a rethink before you enter into an ocean of uncertainty and fear.

Both bus transits are okay. However, it appears that the GO train (a regional transport system) have more travel time for Mississauga than Brampton.

Please note - Brampton and Mississauga are under Peel Region.

You do not have up to a year driving experience and will need to enter the Graduated Driving Licence system - that’s - starting from G1. However, you have three choices

- Go for G1 immediately and then G2 after 8 months
- Go for G1 immediately and then reapply for G2 after your letter clocks 12 months (in 4 months time)
- Wait till after 4 months before entering the driving licence system

I was thinking this thread was about life in canada and experiences as a migrant in canada. However, I can see it has been convert to EE and immigrating to canada when a thread already exist for such matters

Go to the website and check if you qualify with the basic criteria. Google EE canada and do the assessment.

Please let them know - The cold here can kill somebody oh. Better spend money on a good accommodation. Don’t compromise because you would stick with that situation for 1 year.

Jokes apart, I told my bro about leaving the country, he wasn't against it and advised I go to Canada (i was thinking of Sweden or Normay thk ). He said it's even better I use the link of going for masters in Canada to leave the country and personally, I'm not a fan of masters.. I'm not even planning to further any education but he was adamant that is a better option. He said things will be a little bit easier for me considering I will be studying there. Said the family will just look for money for rent, food and part payment of my school fees and he's projecting like 5m will solve it

So house, I don't have any idea about Canada and I'm very sure God willing, I will leave Nigeria after my service. I just need someone to tell me things I need to know about Canada, is the Masters link very sure? What's the goodies that come with masters students? Like how much should I budgeting?

If you don’t want to do a Masters, then don’t do it. You can qualify for EE with your BSc. Don’t throw money into something you are not keen on doing. Skills acquisition is more better than going for a Masters. Many Canadians don’t do Masters - additional expense. Also, after finishing your Masters and the struggles involved, you still earn what a BSc holder or even less earns.

Ambode should take a deep breath. He has tried pleading with the emperor who seems implacable. The only option open to ambode is to be a man. Nowhere in Nigeria has a sitting governor been denied a second term run by his party. So the option open to ambode is to fight hard and fierce. Fight dirty very ugly if necessary. Ambode should appreciate the enormity of the powers of a governor. It is a glaring insult for the state's local government chairmen to owe sole allegiance to the emperor and openly denigrate the governor. Therefore ambode should do the following:

1. Ensure control over the judiciary especially that he trusts the chief judge otherwise change him. The chief judge is a key player in impeachment proceedings

2. Secure the support of key national party chiefs including buhari, el rufai, fashola, IG of police. Get close to chief of army staff. Then make effective use of the state commissioner of police to thwart any shenanigans by the house of assembly. In fact shut down house of assembly till further notice.

3. Fight the emperor with all might. Revoke his numerous C of Os, cancel alpha beta contract, burn down mysteriously TVC, RC, The Nation, expose all about alpha beta. Cancel contracts with hitech construction company and LCC. Remove Tinubu's daughter as head of the markets.

3. Refuse the direct primaries nonsense, insist on indirect primaries and forcefully take charge of apc organs in the state. Note that Tinubu and fashola were not subjected to direct primaries which are fraught with fraud since there is no fool proof register of APC members.

4. Sack all political appointees with dubious allegiance including sanwo olu and replace them with bold and brave loyalists ready to fight bloody grassroots battle.

5. Dissolve the local government chairmen and appoint loyal caretakers to take charge of all organs. Find and equip these caretakers adequately for battle.

6. Infliterate the house of assembly members through similar or bettet offers than the emperor makes

7. Align with other adversaries of the emperor in the South west such as akeredolu, ajumobi, amosun. Align against APC in osun state

8. Be prepared to cause APC to lose Lagos state rather than be disgraced.

9. Package g wagons for the obas in Lagos state and get many to your side.

10. Employ and deploy a deft and deadly media team to fully expose and embarrass the emperor constantly.

All these actions will create so much rumpus in the state APC that the national body will become so alarmed that they would send crisis management or reconciliation forces giving you the opportunity to extract concessions including security of your second term run. Your profile as the David beating goliath will be established eternally in the state. Then you would have saved the state from the mouth of the ogre.
