In what sense? Also what's the traditional way?

emitope:
Good day guys,
I just wanted to ask if there are any disadvantages if the wife is the main applicant for the student visa and the husband being the dependant vs the traditional way...

Thanks

Immigration officers do not have that authorisation to check one's mobile phone. The police however can only if arrested.

ijeshaprincess:
Please lets be very truthful. Everything is recorded, even at the point of entry. Some years back at the point of entry, I overheard one of the entry officers was grilling a Nigerian woman. He asked how long she would be staying and she said one month and the officer said thats what you said the last time and you stayed 5months! He got that I believe from the computer in front of him. I don't know how it ended but I learnt a lesson from that.

Also if per chance you are put aside for extra scrutiny, your phone will be collected and checked and supposed you have lied that you don't have any relative there, your phone will expose you as a liar.
But then there are relatives that you may have in the UK that you don't relate with, the answer is still yes I have relations here but I do not relate with him/her and he or she does not even know that am coming to the UK and I don't want him/ her to know. There's no law that says you must have a cordial relationship with all your relations!

From my experience Ehn, I applied from Dubai… Just go back home and ensure you don’t supply too much information…
So what "too much information" will he fill on a standard student visa form that will be different from naija huh
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by Bourne007(m): 5:56pm On Sep 05, 2021
You don't have to return to naija. You can apply where you are as long as you are legally resident there

Newbie123:
Please does one need to return to Nigeria to apply or you can apply from your current country of residence

You will still need to fill the passenger locator form anyways. Fill form with the updated address

johnsonsegxy:
Hello house. Is it possible to change quarantine address from hotel to normal accommodation?
In my own case i uploaded hotel quarantine booking when applying for the visa but i have now secured a month accommodation for my quarantine & stay and i have canceled the hotel booking because these gives me values for my money and close to my school. Will this be an issue at the port of entry? Maybe they have the hotel quarantine booking on their system.

Admin review is basically to prove them wrong and based on ST5.1 immigration rules, you can't submit additional documents. Refused on the grounds of not being genuine student is extremely difficult to overturn using Admin review. Unless the school understands and willing to re-issue CAS, I will suggest you try another univ for the next intake.

All the best mate

delxmaverick:
Hi Guys! I need help regarding my visa application. I already submitted and my application was refused on the ground that they are aren’t sure I will actually study when I get to the UK.

I was interviewed twice… first interview was not scheduled while the second one was. The questions they asked were 90% similar. And TBH guys, the first interview wasn’t good enough but I quickly prepared myself for the second interview but unfortunately they didn’t use that to assess me.

Now the issue is I am being asked to request for administrative review which is kinda new to me… I would appreciate assistance on

1. How to make a valid argument in my review
2. Or should I just forget it and focus on a new application
3. What are the implications if I don’t review the decision
4. And may I ask what is the success rate of administrative review…
5. Can I still apply at Teesside or a different school would be better for January admission

I have more questions but let me stop here first…

I need help o…
Thanks Guys!

So tight! If at the event that he cannot extend or switch, best bet is to apply in naija for January 2022 intake. Leaves the country before the expiry of his visa and return back in Jan. This will not break his continuous residence in the UK

Tomyusf141:
I knew sept intake would be massive this year. That’s why I came with May intake jeje.
They extended his Visa till September 29 I presume
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by Bourne007(m): 2:36pm On Sep 03, 2021
Univ have been overwhelmed with application this September hence most closed. If to say around this time last year, almost certain to get one.

When will visa expire?

Tomyusf141:
Good day people,

My housemate here is looking for schools that can still accept him for September intake.
PS;- he’s already in the UK. He finished his masters February this year, so he’s not eligible for the 2years psw.
We’ve tried couple schools but they said it’s too late.

@justwise and all pls help.

Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by Bourne007(m): 2:18pm On Sep 03, 2021
Answer is NO. When they are ready, they can make a separate application.

Sayhi:
Please what do I choose here I have dependents and they are not traveling with me for now
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by Bourne007(m): 2:16pm On Sep 03, 2021
What's the point of adding a note when you can simply say NO. Surely adding a note doesn't cause any harm

At the time of making an application alone, 'will they be travelling with you to the UK?' should simply be NO. When dependants are ready, they can then make a separate application. 2 applicants from Part 5 & 6 have been refused because of this simple English

justwise:
If they are travelling with you to the UK then click No, but if they will be applying later and travel with you click Yes but add a note that they will be applying separately at a later date

Once an applicant receives a non-straightforward email, usually it will be delayed due to further checks and verification

You can still resume on or before the deadline for late registration which is usually 2 weeks after resumption.
Check your uni for deadline dates

If you know your BRP number, just follow the instructions, select BRP, enter the number and share code

You can also use https://right-to-work.service.gov.uk/prove/id-question to share code

Alkidam:
Good evening house. I am just printed the National insurance form from the UK government website, there is copy which is the second copy that shows that a SHARE CODE should be inserted. Kindly assist with this as I am a JJC.

Definitely possible

fatima04:
Thought you can switch once you have completed your academics and gotten a job offer from a sponsored employer.

E.g, Student A completed studies etc in September and can now work full time till visa expires in January, however he landed an HCA job willing to sponsor and is way cheaper for a family of 4 than PSW, won't this be possible?

Admin review is like a court where you have to prove your case bá. Not sure how one can prove he meant to say NO when submitted form says YES.

It's worth a try but chances kinda slim.

Yemzzyy:
Why wouldn’t administrative review work for it?
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by Bourne007(m): 6:24pm On Aug 30, 2021
Just get it resolved ones you get to the UK. Who knows, BRP might be waiting despite the error

efzbah:
In case of an error, inform the officials right there before you leave. They will tell you what to do.

If you submitted your passport during your appointment, then you should get your passport and the decision/bro letter

Some CWs seem to follow the books while some tend to ignore and see as a genuine mistake or misunderstanding of the question.

You were meant to fill all your dependants on the form as normal but NO to 'Is this person travelling with you to the UK' on each dependant.

Unfortunately Admin review wouldn't work but to re-apply.

Dammyope126:
@Justwise and all, I got this email from Pretoria this morning kindly educate me on what could have gone wrong in my Application.

I applied alone on 24th August while my dependent were to do their Application much later. The reason was because my POF had matured but theirs was deposited later. My initial deposit was #12,000,008, then #8,987,000.

I would be grateful to hear others contribution.

I really doubt this. Naija can't even be on the list of countries permitted to use normal driving licence

fatima04:
From memory and other people's experienceon the other thread, I believe the normal naija licence allows you to drive in the UK and no need to obtain the special international licence
