My child arrived in the UK and was issued a British passport a few months after. We had a newborn this year who was also issued a British passport.
Do I need to meet the requirement of £25,000 for my 2 children and my wife? Moreover, my wife 2.5 will expire in August 2021, Should I start applying on the 3rd of August to meet the 28 days rule? Sorry if this sounds like silly questions.
I've signed in and out .. no difference jare .. as long as I can get on the website, all good .. It's 540 now
Contra5: I use smallworld regularly and it's currently £536 as of few minutes ago. I noticed whenever I stay on the app for a while fiddling with the numbers their fee rates may change but if you log out and log back in it goes back to normal. Possibly same issue in this case. Funds usually get delivered within an hour.
Summer runs from June. Month of May falls under spring
Tobexin: As far you graduated from May 2021 onwards you are qualified! It says anyone that graduated during the summer or after the summer of 2021 is qualify!
"The money should be kept in your account for 28days weekends included (school fees + maintenance money) ending no more than 31 days before your application"
UKVI can call your bank to verify.
yusufDeveloper: OK bro. So having the bank statement at any time won't give any red flag during interview? For example, if I print my bank statement after 28 days (let's say June) and my interview is (let's say July). How would they know if I still have the actual amount since the statement is not up to date.
You just said the twins are citizens .. wetin dem wan apply for if they are? Unless you mean the kids are actually not citizens yet then they just need to go down the citizenship route
Spousal Visa is just 'Spouse' and doesn't apply to kids. One needs to obviously include the kids' names on the form. He needs to meet the financial requirements for just her.
Monmarri: Hello house Pls kindly assist me with this question from my sister. My sister husband lives in the UK with a permanent residence. My sister has twins (2years old) that are UK citizen, . Now she wants to apply for spouse visa, she wants to verify if the kids need to apply too ?since they are citizen do they need to apply for settlement visa ? Will her husband only meet financial requirement of £18600 for her alone or he needs to meet the financial requirement for the her and the kids?. We are a bit confused here. Kindly assist please. Thank you.
You might want to look at some of the Young Professionals Programs for International organisations like UN, WorldBank, IMF etc. which relocates you to Washington to start role.
Aprokodaughter: Sorry I want to ask a question I don't know if this is the right place to ask but has anyone applied for a job in US from UK? If you have or you know someone who did please how did you or the person go about it from getting the call back to interview and moving down.
Yes I agree WHO made some mistakes but by the end of January, they had stepped back from the Human-to-human/travel ban. I think Donald is just looking for someone to blame as he always does. He blamed Obama, Democrats as it's their new Hoax, his own admin staff for being an alarmist and the media. Reports say South Korea and US had their first case the same time and still failed to listen to his health experts and intelligence team.
If he had listened to his Intel team, they could have defied WHO and prepare themselves. If it was war now, they know how to defy the world organisation, spend Billion $$$ on weapons and start one ...
LagosismyHome: agreed on shutdown of economy , but at least if Everyone was aware of the magnitude and shut down their border , I believe it would have been better . WHO had many failings on this topic. Data shows 5 million fled Wuhan and 5 million is a lot of people.
Maybe Thrump timing is not the best but WHO has a lot to answer for in this case , too many lives have been lost
Them say one needs to me the conditions set out by the NCDC, take the COVID-19 test and if tested negative, should reach out to the High Commission in the UK to indicate their intent in being repatriated back to Nigeria. Email address: evcuation@nigeriahc.org.uk
And that "Those who are yet to take the COVID-19 test and are interested in taking their tests can find many suitable options in the UK, both public and private sectors. We encourage you to explore these options available."
NHS has made it clear that if you no show any signs, dem no go test person. You might need to fake some high temperature o
Btw .. not sure what your status is but if your visa is running out, it will automatically be extended till end of May in case you don't know.
hiring2020: Please, is there anyone in touch with Nigeria High Commission in UK (Nigerian Embassy) for possible evacuation from UK to Nigeria? I need as much information as possible. I called Nigeria High Commission UK phone number, but it wasn't going through.
I need enough information to start preparing to leave UK for Nigeria.
Looked up the old PSW visa requirements and says similar to what you've uploaded. You and I both have heard or known a few people who benefited from the old visa using the 10 year route.
Hope this clears any doubts. Cheers baba
Skymoore1004: As you can see in the photo and even going with what you said about 8 years max, is still not possible to reach 10 years via study route. Let’s be realistic please
So this interprets as graduate immigration visa holder will need to spend 5 further years on a Tier 2 (General) visa holder to qualify for indefinite leave to remain, or alternatively hope holder can accumulate enough lawful residence to apply under the 10-year long residence route.
Skymoore1004: As you can see in the photo and even going with what you said about 8 years max, is still not possible to reach 10 years via study route. Let’s be realistic please
Skymoore1004: Yes spouse visa counts of course I was just responding with the context for the earlier message. Study visa does not count towards 10 years. I’m constantly researching and reading about residency. Don’t worry I will attach the link from the government website soon
This your information is so inaccurate and misleading 'Facepalm' 'sighs'
10-year route counts to indefinite as long as you have stayed LEGALLY no matter what visa. You can study for a max for 8 years Not only work permit leads to residency. Don't you think spousal count?
Skymoore1004: Even study visa or PSW does not count towards 10 years route & you cannot study for more than 5 years at a stretch. Else rich men kids will do foundation 1 year, bachelors 4 years, masters 2 years and phd 3 years with 1 year stayback after the phd and get residency for their kid. Check immigration reports or documents you will understand better. Only work visa counts towards residency. It’s only Eu countries like Estonia Poland etc that your year of study counts towards residency and it’s calculated with 0.5. So if you studied in Poland for 4 years, only 2 years will count but NOT FOR U.K. Let’s advise accurately
It will be increased from £300 to £470 which takes effect from October 1st. I suggest you apply before that.
It's actually £624 but for applicants who are not students.
MsChidi: Hi everyone, just want to check with current/past students. I was going through my course schedule for the September 2020 period. There are 2 semesters whereby u take 2 examinations, and the 3 being May - September, is that the period for dissertation & graduation? Help me clarify pls.
Also, I read some pages back that IHS is £646, someone else is mentioning IHS as £300, I checked the gov.uk and IHS is £300. Which is it pls?
Could be true but we are in a UK forum so I gave you a 'UK' response
Wakins: I read online that there are some Universities that offer free tuition fee like Germany. I have been working on the funding aspect though. thanks
First guide to studying abroad is 'funds'. Are you going to be self funded or part funded/fully funded scholarship?
Once that's determined, the rest follows
Wakins: Hello sir/ma, I graduated last December. I studied industrial design ( specialized in CERAMIC). my dream has been to do my master programme abroad. I need advice and guidance on my next line of action. thanks
Seems they received overwhelming filled forms so registration closed lol. I was still able to access the form this morning so probably sending an email might help
oniranu: Please, how does a Nigerian who wants to return to Nigeria from UK go about it especially when there is travel ban right now? Does a Nigerian still have the right to return to Nigeria despite the lockdown everywhere? Please house.
I think that's the mistake your friends made. Universities DO NOT guarantee placements for students. It is the students responsibility to look for and secure a placement themselves. The university can assists with tips of getting one and advertise roles within their portals and that's about basically it.
Universities might not state this clearly (hence the impression) but once courses start, a different ball game entirely.
BouharryArtikou: 1. I did not attend the University 2. I have friends, more than 4 of them who attended . 3. I have gone to 110, Middlesex Street with them, several times. 4. I have been privileged to see their course content, and seen the quality of presentation of the course content. 5. Yes, they do have a kinda flexible fees payment plan.
All my friends that were there, not a single one thought the quality they got was value for money. Infact, 2 of them said they are ashamed of the quality - they could be wrong.
Prior to going, they were under the impression that the university will help them to get placement places. Well, the help could be in the form of giving you a letter, stating you are a student. Or sending you list of organisations that are recruiting (which you could have got on your own from the Internet anyway).
At the end of the day, my folks could not get any placement. The university asked them to write long essay (dissertation) in lieu. Plus, the Uni told them that during the ‘placement’ period, they are technically still on term. Which means that even the back-breaking Care, security and hospitality jobs they got was expected to have the 20-hour limit.
It may be different for other courses ohhh, but Masters in Project management is not worth the money.
If the underground motive of an applicant is to use tier-4 to zap from Buhari’s Nigeria and hope for open doors in Boris’ UK then maybe it’s not such a bad idea. But if the aim is to become a competent, cutting-edge professional Project Manager, then think twice.
On the link under 'Application and Service Centres in the UK', it says you cannot book an appointment. And if you've already booked, you will be contacted to be informed that it has been cancelled. Whether regular, super or super duper o, they all fall under the same category
teejay231: No mention of if super priority applications are still possible or if we have to scan our documents by ourselves and submitting biometrics. I am curious if anyone has submitted an application recently. Any help please. Thanks.
I just think it's unfair as they are on the frontline as well. If they can't atleast extend their visas (whatever visa they're on), then they owe them a great deal of appreciation for what they are doing.
fatima04: Salary requirement for one and also getting a sponsor. Doubt HCA is on the shortage occupation list, so they have to show the usual advert requirement and how they couldn't get someone to fill the position
DaveChapelle: HCA job is not anything special. It's like auxilliary nurse. Even students or undergraduates can get a job as HCA, so there's no need to bring people from abroad on visa yet. However, a HCA can be your boss tomorrow, as they are usually doing it as an interim post while thngs get batter. A HCA in my previous hospital is a rota coordinator in my Trust now. And iknew a prospective medical student who was doing HCA to save money for medical school
Do HCA even qualify for the one year visa extension recently announced?
gratefulme40: No, I understood what you meant. The media acting like the HCAs are not important. A colleague just sent me a picture of a HCA that passed away from this nonsense.
