And does your BRP say T2/dependants?

Call or email the details on that letter. You can raise a complaint as well
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-visas-and-immigration/about/complaints-procedure#how-to-complain
https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

And if your BRPs are correct and nothing was done, clearly state the error on your next application detailing the mistake they made.

Tier 4 students generally need WAEC/NECO to meet English requirements approved by their unis.

So the process is different

Monmarri:
I have done it . Thank you. I also believe that there are some students who might have done it too.

TravelRe: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 3:26pm On Nov 08, 2020
If she's currently on a visa then she's switching to spousal.

Please look at https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/knowledge-of-English to know which exam to write

I didn't write exam as I always used my UK degree so can't tell if difficult or not.

Monmarri:
Sorry I didn't really get it. Switching or extending. This is first spousa visa application.

My partner degree certificate is not acceptable by Naric bc she studied French language. We are looking at the options of her writing exams .

Please can you recommend the exams that she can do and I want to ask if the exam is difficult to pass. Kindly advise. Many thanks

How did you meet English requirements for current visa you are on? Can't the same be used?

Monmarri:
Switching
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Bourne007(m):
PSW can only be issued once

So basically it's either 2-year or 3-year depending on the degree.

H3lol travel family, I got a quick one;
With the 2years PSW visa, if one is given scholarship PhD which normally is 3years psw, will the PhD psw be added to the msc make it 5yearshuh
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 11:41am On Nov 08, 2020
The same Tier 4/post study rules apply to dependants.

If your tier 4 dependant switches to tier 1 or 2, then the 5-year route applies on the day you are issued.

assumpta1:
Oh thank you. Does the same thing apply to the dependants?
Also what if a dependant is able to switch to tier 2, what route will that be? Sorry if I’m asking too many questions but the links don’t provide answers to my questions.
TravelRe: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 8:28pm On Nov 07, 2020
If NARIC has said that it's not possible, I will advise you look at other options. Unless you can prove beyond doubt that you were taught in English.

https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/knowledge-of-english

Are you switching or extending?

Monmarri:
Pls house does it mean that that the person that studied French language in the university and was also taught in English language and have medium of instruction letter from the university can not apply for Naric?

Pls I need help. I just got this information from Naric after uploading, I have not even paid, just for me to click on track applicatio

Hello, Please does anyone have a list of employees that are licensed to sponsor immigrants for a tier 2 visa. I read that you must get a job offer before you can be issued a tier two visa.

Also, aside from that, what's the best way to move to UK. I'm currently studying for my masters in one of the Universities in the UK but via an online program. Thanks for your response
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 1:18am On Nov 07, 2020
Say you send 3 years on tier 4 and 2 years post study, though you have spent 5 years but doesn't lead to settlement.

If you however switch to various visas completing 10 years (long residence) then tier 4/post study visas can be used cos you have stayed legally

TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 4:05pm On Nov 05, 2020
These are basically path to settlement called ILR.

5 year is usually when you are on Tier 1, 2 (with dependants), Spousal
10 year route leads to settlement as long as you have legally stayed in the UK. During this process, you can be on any visa (switch/extend) as long as it's legal.

Tier 4 and Post study does not count to settlement but can be used alongside the 10 year route.

assumpta1:
Hi! Please can you shed light on the 5 year route Vs 10 year route.

I heard you went in the morning and back to the UK in the evening all same day shocked

Aphrodite007:
It’s on the Nigerian high commission website. But you are expected to fill the form and make your payment on the Nigerian immigration website (the NHC website will tell you).

Currently there’s a backlog at the NHC. They should be answering people that paid for July/Aug now, which means you will have to wait a bit till it’s your turn to do your application. Normally if it’s your turn, it will take a month.

I went to Nigeria to get my passport done cos I couldn’t wait but now, flights have been grounded cos of the virus, so you may not be able to leave the Uk. Sorry.
TravelRe: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 11:37am On Nov 05, 2020
Life in the UK test is mandatory for ILR. Once done, it never expires hence can be used for naturalisation.

You can do the test now self if u want cheesy

deebaby05:
I thought you need to do the B1 for ILR. Is the Life in the UK test not for Naturalisation and citizenship application? Which i learnt you can do that anytime b4 the Naturalisation application because it doesn't have an expiry date. From my findings, you need B1 for ILR application and Life in the UK for naturalisation/citizenship application.

Pls enlighten me, can you use the Life in the UK test for both ILR and naturalisation? If yes, then that's good, not that one will do B1 and then do Life in the Uk test again, all these tests sef.

The caseworker harsh die. A friend submitted 2 weeks or so early. The caseworker held on to his application till his ILR complete. The rule is 28 days so I think he got lucky

dustydee:
I think it is 28 days before so yours should be by Nov 12. I know of someone who was denied for applying for ILR a day earlier.

When I assisted with a friend's MSc application, the school removed his naija MSc on CAS. Probably to clear doubts of being a genuine student or not.

Up to you though but I will say don't include as your first degree with years of work experience is enough to secure a place.

BabajoeB:
Good day all. Please I need your expertise and advice. I had my first masters (MBA) in 2011 in Nigeria. I want to apply for Masters in Logistics & Supply Chain this year in UK for the second one.
Is it advisable to declare I already have a masters degree or should just claim my B.Sc? Wouldn't there be an issue since I already have one? What my chances of getting admission with my MBA? Any advice while applying? Thank you.

Get multiple accounts smiley and call Barclays to unblock

This is what @wonlasewonimi was referring to

Kingp91:
Hi, please i am asking for a friend its very urgent. She has 2 siblings an elder sister who is currently in the uk and her brother who applied with her to solent university in the uk. The brother left for the uk 2 days ago as he was granted visa. She was to leave for the uk until her school emailed her and withdrew her cas because the other part of the balance 3000 pounds hasn't still reflected and this money was paid from her sisters account who is in the uk and she uses Barclays. Apparently her account was blocked when she made the 3k payment reason being that there has been a high influx of money into and out of the account due to the fact that she also paid her brother's fees. Please people with experience whats the work around her getting her account unblocked and is there a fast way to do this ?

They've been around for a while and used them a couple of times. It was just their transfer fee that I think was a bit on the high side when I compare with Smallworld then. I've also noticed in the last few weeks (with Moneyfex and AceMoney misbehaving), they have better rates.

Lexusgs430:
Since Moneyfex have decided to upgrade their systems.........

Anyone heard of DT&T? App available on playstore (best rates so far)....

You would have to validate, prior to initial transfer (validation completed within 24 hours)........

Try Starling bank. It's similar to Monzo

princecase:
Gurus in the house.

I recently got into the UK, I tried opening a bank account with Lloyds bank but my application was refused without any explanation whatsoever to that regard. Tried equally with Monzo, I still refused.

All of these refusals came after submitting my Passport, BRP and letter from the school indicating my address and duration of the course.

Please has anyone had this issue and how was it resolved because at the moment I am confused as to what the possible reasons for refusals could be.

I am currently trying to open with Barclays Bank, have an appointment on 30th of November.

Sounds crazy but very possible LOL .. OR they just want to get more money from you

Mine was slightly different .. Naija passport I have used to travel in and out. One the day of renewal, they said it wasn't activated. I had to wait about a month before it was activated then it was renewed.

If it's no record, let them just get you a new one na

ugomnaanny:
Pls guys is this possible pls my passport expired last week and I have paid for a renewal yesterday, only for the lady to call me now to tell me there is no record found of my passport, passport I use always to travel, how possible pls.

Doesn't the kid have visa vignette on passport?

Or Wetin you mean by immigration letter? They don't use immigration letters to travel 'in the abroad' smiley

Fabfive:
Good morning all.
@Mimi @Justwise and anyone else who may have an answer.

We received one of my kids’ visa/passport without the immigration letter enclosed.
I’ve called UKVI and they said I’ll receive a response within 15 working days. Ha! we’re billed to travel before then.
Would there be any issues at the UK border if we arrive there without his own letter? The rest of the family have theirs.
Has anyone entered the UK without presenting this letter to the immigration officials?

I’d appreciate a response to this.

Thanks!

If you know the process, it's the same procedure and requirements. Nothing has changed and loads have gotten their visas.

olalemii:
Hello,

Thanks for all you do here..

I have two questions, is there anyone here above 18 that used parent’s account as POF and got Tier 4 UK visa?

2. Can a separate account of the parent be dedicated for the deposit and whole Visa process?

Thanks

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Bourne007(m): 12:06am On Oct 24, 2020
I don't think the university reps (account managers as they are called) have that authority to check ones personal details with UKVI without the consent of the student not to even talk of Canada.

Cases are strictly handled by the ECOs with the absence of these account managers

Zoey1:
Every school has a rep within BHC that does some inside jobs regards visa, so not declaring it doesnt hide it.
Schools are careful about their sponsorship license hence they need the checks.... The more refusal their students get , the closer they are to losing license.... It once happened to LondonMet.
