deomelllo:Keyamo and his likes who do not understand the word 'shame' should keep quiet please. When APC made campaign promises in 2015 we all thought that we had seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Same way Buhari blamed Shagari in 1983 until he was removed, today it is Jonathan/PDP. Does he have to wait for 100 years before reducing petrol price or electricity in 6 months of office promised by Fashola? Why did he not wait for the 16 years before travelling to treat himself when he promised to stop medical tourism? I always said it that APC had two things going for them in 2015 namely: 1. The desire of everyone for Jonathan to go. 2. Charm/juju/bewitchment. If not for those we will not have people in power today who cannot tolerate criticism. We will not have people in power today who want to give suffering but do not want to receive. If some so called professionals are not benefitting finacially and seriously too from a bad government with bad policies they will not remain there today. |
post=73857283:Thank you very much for your words. Let me ask: 1. If Nigeria were China what would have happened to the likes of Tinubu who never has factories but came about such massive wealth? 2. If Nigeria were China what would have happened to R-PDP members who became APC and gave them state powers? 3. If Nigeria were China what would have happened to APC members with clear cases of looting? 4. If Nigeria were China what would have happened to persons within and around the president not who are accused but are walking around freely? 5. In China politicians across board are held accountable for their promises. Clearly how many campaign promises have been fulfilled? I guess you will be part of those myopic ones who ask for more time. We all demanded responsibility from Jonathan/PDP that was why we demanded 'anything but Jonathan' in 2015. The indices are clear for you to see today, Why wait until your children start crying for bread in your house tomorrow? Did you not hear the man say 2019 will be harder? Bros your words must be jokes, right? |
IYABO OBASANJO JUST KILLED IT HERE A MUST READ An excellent article by Dr Iyabo Obasanjo (published on her blog). I am a terminal optimist; ‘a believer’ in Nigeria’s future greatness, that is why three years ago, I would not have believed a bag of rice could be sold for the national minimum wage. With 87 million extremely poor people and 13 million children out of school in 2018, the mighty has indeed fallen and change has come. Now I know ‘all things’ are possible in a country ruled by incompetent ‘saints’. We have mass starvation in the North East, yet a clan of ‘Grass cutters’ are making their billions and smiling to the bank with the blood of hungry, homeless children, and internally displaced people in their hands. We hear rumors of ‘Bama Initiatives’ yet the fraternity in power manufactures internal solutions and our conniving cabinet of ‘saints’ watch in silence. They seek another term for their inaction, they call out the nation to pray for God to bless their cluelessness while we wait forever, for just anyone to answer the ‘grass cutter’s’ question; ‘who is the presidency?’ There are few things as nauseating as watching your favorite dog lick up its vomit. That is how sick this government of clowns make me feel. For three years Nigerians have been immersed in a disgusting circus show; the high point of our week is the next ‘tall tale’ from the spin doctor; Mr. Lie Mohammed. The man has shown great dexterity in fabricating bogus stories and making excuses for the pathetic ineptitude of our government. From his bedtime fairy tales about our ‘hale and hearty’ president waiting in the UK for 50 days to have the Presidential jet serviced, to the one that won the tales by moonlight award of the year; the story of the ‘Great Rodents of Aso Rock’. Governance by propaganda and lies has been institutionalized by ‘saints’. That is how we became a nation addicted to tall tales, a place where the rest of the world can look to, for comic relief. Every new day we shake our heads or bite our nails, and wonder why ‘our dear leader’ and his team are taking us for fools. Three years crawl like eternity, every day with its pangs, and our people beg God to take us back to 2015. Just three years ago in January 2015, President Jonathan reduced the price of fuel from N97 to N86.5 per litre. Babatunde Fashola; Buhari’s super minister, responded by saying the price was not low enough. He promised the nation a better deal under the APC government of ‘saints’. He bragged that a ‘serious’ government would solve the power problem of the country in six months. Today, he is the Power, Works and Housing Minister and his silence is as deafening as it is shameful. Corruption in the power sector under the nostrils of our ‘saint’ stinks to the high heavens as ordinary citizens groan under the burden of ‘estimated bills’ and other sundry deceits. Tam David West, a military era ally of General Buhari went further to promise his friend will bring the pump price of petrol down to N40 per litre. Then the price of crude came tumbling down to the ground, making the pump price of N40 per liter even more feasible but our government of ‘victims’ doubled the pump price of petrol. They went ahead and increased the price of Diesel by 400% without a reason, crushing the productive sector of the economy where everyone uses diesel to generate their electricity. We are told to blame Jonathan for three years of ineptitude, mediocrity and unbridled nepotism. We thank our God who in his faithfulness has given Professor Tam David West long life to watch ‘crocodile smile, python dance’ and to eat his empty words. Did our President really promise to make the naira equal to the dollar at the APC South East rally at Owerri in 2015? Some think he did, but we will never know. To comment further may be labelled ‘hate speech’. We hear rumors of the possible reincarnation of decree 2, 4 of 1984. Those who are old enough will understand. The silence of our usually vibrant ‘yoruba’ media speak volumes for their independence and the state of our democratic evolution. I am however sure our ‘saints’ promised to create 740,000 new jobs in one year. They promised to revamp the coal industry in Enugu. They promised change and changed everything. Since then the National office of Statistics reported job losses of 1.5million in the first quarter of 2016. Now they say we are crawling out of recession but in the words of Bob Marley, ‘he who feels it, knows it’. Nigeria; the famed land of ‘Hailers, Wailers and Lazy Youths’ has never had it so bad, yet apologists of this administration of ‘saints’ will hastily tell you to continue to believe, to celebrate the ‘incorruptibility of our pious ‘dear leader’ and his ‘lopsided’ war against corruption, to jump on the broomstick and believe their IYABO OBASANJO JUST KILLED IT HERE A MUST READ An excellent article by Dr Iyabo Obasanjo (published on her blog). I have difficulty believing that a man in his 4th attempt at the presidency, after 14 years of scheming and plotting will turn out so lame and bereft of ideas. The President of a 21st Century Democracy cannot afford to be this clueless and hands-off-ish. He has watched in near silence the worst form of savagery and bloodletting in our modern history. To give him another term, would be unfair to the old man, like whipping a tired horse. All of them unimpressive without a single exception. Their inability to take responsibility for their failures will always stand them out as a pitiable class of ‘victims’ which we should all quickly forget. The APC claim of superior morality and credibility was always deeply flawed. Mysteryque:If 'change' brought us to this point, where will 'next level' take Nigerians? The president's message has warned everyone to vote him and his group out. He eats well, his family eats well, the governors and political leaders eat and sleep well, yet the man who stands in the sun to vote them in has no hope for a better future. We are tired of bad policies, body language, etc. Please let us have our peace of mind. |
“YOU CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING....". History Being Repeated? In 1983 : $1 = N 0.50kobo £1 = N1.5 Volkswagen Beetle = N4,400 ; Tokunboh cars and items were an abomination to Nigerians. Food was in abundance ; Kids were in schools; Businesses were booming with vibrant economy and people were gainfully employed ; No illegal arrests or media trials ; Rule of law was maintained, etc. But, on 31 December 1983, he and his group struck, under the pretence of willing to tackle "perceived" widespread corruption", and, within few months : . $1 = N3 £1 = N5 ; Volkswagen Beetle car = N8, 000 ; Tokunboh cars and items started arriving Nigeria. Kids dropped out of school because their parents couldn't afford their school fees anymore ; Businesses closed down and relocated to other countries ; Foods were rationed as people queued up for essential commodities ; Many Nigerians lost their jobs because the economy collapsed ; Innocent Nigerians were arrested for free speech and human rights violated with impunity under "Decree 4" ; The Constitution was suspended, etc. He blamed Shehu Shagari's administration for the mess. He blamed corruption, yet he jailed Dr. Alex Ekwueme (the then Vice President) but left Shehu Shagari (the President) in his palace. | But when another group threw him out in 1985, within few months, Nigerians started smiling again. Our kids returned to school, food was in abundance again, Nigerians got their jobs back and the economy was revived etc. Before May 29th 2015: . $1 = N175-190 £1 = N240-250 Cars were affordable, with local manufacturers smiling to the bank ; Food was in abundance (at least a bag of rice was N7, 000, etc,) ; Kids were in school ; Businesses were booming with vibrant economy rated #1 in Africa after recapitalization ; No illegal arrests or media trials ; etc. ****** On 29 May, 2015, when he was 'Jega-ed' into power and thereafter: $1 = N315-510 £1 = N550-610 ; Local car manufactures shut down their plants due to harsh operating economic conditions ; Famine was unleashed on Nigerians and a bag of rice rose to N22, 000 ; Minimum wage remained N18,000 ; Kids dropped out of schools; Businesses closed down and related ; Millions lost their jobs ; Inflation is in double digits, herdsmen crisis, widespread killing and shooting, more looting, etc. Just like in 1985, he's blaming corruption and his predecessor for the same mess he and others before him created within few months of assumption of office. We are now in 2018, eagerly awaiting 2019 : THE CHOICE IS OURS. One repeats : "YOU CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING." Very instructive! Pls share till every Nigeria sees it. |
kahal29:No need crying when the head is lost. Apparently APC has lost Ogun, Imo, Delta, Zamfara and Rivers states. For Zamfara and Rivers states there will be no candidates. For Delta state Cyril Ogodo/Pat Utomi are in court to remove Prophet Erue/Great Ogboru. In Imo state Okorocha certainly will work against APC. How do they expect Amosun to reconcile when his group decamped? |
Beeman1:Is it Ipod or Ipob? E vex you so tay you no even know spelling again? I believe that you must be a yahoo boy. I think so because Ipod seems to register for your head and na only yahoo boy carry Ipod for head everywhere! |
EmagNig:Remember the proverb that says 'as you dey bend down dey look person yansh another person dey bend down look your own'. Also you remember 'back to the sender'? Even if he didn't go public with the story, it would have leaked anyway. So he tried to prempt the story. All man carry im wound go treat himself. |
Automotive1:Back to sender!!!!!! Imagine self driven car on third mainland bridge with go slow. Or self driven car on Shagamu - Benin expressway. Na lie. I no go follow for free sef. |
Alb305:No he is not a fool. At 62 and triplets, it can only be the grace of God. Bro if you have not had a child yet, pray that you will not find yourself on the side of those running from pillar to post in search. No he is not a fool. If out of excitement and joy he believes that better days lie ahead for this country then he is very right to be optimistic. All you need to do is join the bandwagon of youths who are the tomorrow of this country. Vote in good leaders and see the difference. |
rexwalters:The sense will be borrowed on your behalf and placed on your head. And hopefully you can apply it well. You probably do not know a word called "mole". When Sheriff was brought in the intention was to help PDP find its feet and not to destroy the party. Uf you were current with events then you would have found the attempt at decapitation of the PDP by Sheriff and his group of pretenders until the lost at the supreme court. For your information dear borrowed sense man all Sheriff's agents across the nation decamped to the APC. What is your basis of comparing Kashumu matter with Saraki and the rest? Saraki and the rest left when they felt the system then was not favourable to them. Which is better "the enemy within or the enemy without"? If the whole of PDP says no including Wike and Fayose who brought in Sheriff, what then is left for Kashamu? Bros with this I hope the sense just given to you helps you think properly. |
lee007:"not that difficult to handle" is step 1. The step 2 is strangulation of the handler by the animal. Step 3 is downloading to the stomach of the animal by the animal. Bros abeg snake whether small o or medium o or huge o please let them carry their own waka. |
akinhanger:Mr. Buruji Maharaji Kashamu, I no buy I no sell no dey cause trouble. When you joined Ali Modu Sheriff in an attempt to destroy PDP what did you think? You cannot eat your cake and have it. Others decamped to other parties. Please decamp to APC or any other party. You are not recognized by the party. There is no chance for you to win the election. Abi you want to become governor, then use immunity to buy time? |
dipoolowoo:Sharrapp. Woman wrapper. Cover up for her in the public. Hopefully this will not be one of the steps leading to your divorce. Your wife admitted her error and you shamelessly go public to pretend all is well. Wouldn't it have been better for you to remain silent and manage your wife's public insult inside your house? Yeye man. |
dre11:Good, but will APC be in power by July 2019? Surely if it will be commissioned it will be by another party. One day after 29th May 2019, Nigeria will experience the next level of suffering and poverty if APC remain. |
PoliticsNigeria:Rubbish. Politics of greed, selfishness and no ideology. When the going is good they stay, when it is bad they run away. All they think about is their pockets. Now he has run back to PDP after weakning the party in 2014. The ones who stayed what if tbey also ran away. What would he have met? Rather than the PDP he should have decamped to another party. Shameless man. If it goes bad again he will leave the PDP back for the APC because they are the strongest parties. Same goes for the highly shameless Rasheed Ladoja. If he likes let him continue going from pillar to post he will find out that it not by human strength that he can be governors of Oyo state. Yeye people. |
Armani79:Please what is the meaning of GDPN? Can someone tell me? There are so many parties and one cannot say their names. Who are the leaders of the party? Where are they located? |
Roger3D:What a shame that people make such negative and unprogressive comments. This further points to the need for restructuring in this country. If people like this OP are from unprogressive zones then it will be their problem. What is wrong with a high commission opening an office in another state in Nigeria aside from Lagos and the FCT? If they are cleared by the federal government to proceed is it not to the advantage of the country? If they can afford the running cost what does it matter to you? Person when get hernia say e no pain am you when be Neighbor say you no go sleep. Do you think it is only the Igbos who make up the south east? Rather than people from parts of the south east and South South travelling great distances to Lagos and Abuja they can do their business in Anambra State. The effect will be reduced pressure. Do you think that drugs are the only thing done by the Igbos in South Africa? Please make your investigation and you will find the Igbos thriving in massive legitimate businesses in South Africa and southern African nations. By the way are people from Anambra the only ones in South Africa? If you can afford it please travel and see for yourself the size of Yorubas, Edos and northerners there. Stop disparaging your country or states. If you are aggrieved you can join a political party and be part of the change that you want to see. |
afroniger:So Buruji Maharaji Kasumu is not the candidate? Who are the fifth columnists? |
EzegeNG:So where is the trust? She never trusted and will never trust him. Lying women who use the media to deceive gullible women. |
Lordofthewest:So those who vote APC are the "right thinking" ones? Who has bewitched you? When will some people ever call a spade by its name? Right under the watch of our integrity president APC leaders are looting with impunity. One of them said voting PDP will take us back to 2009. Is 2009 not better than 2015 - 2018? Bros clean your eyes and eat kolanut to stay awake. |
bilms:Same story of fake promises. Bulgari promised everything and when he got there he said that he did not realize the magnitude of rot in the system. This one too now has started promising the unthinkable. Abeg just sharaaap and let us rest our minds. Presently to hold the position of the president or governor you need to belong to the PDP or APC. |
Kwankwansiyya movement in the South South has its largest membership in Edo state. That gives PDP some leverage. |
Lipscomb:Obviously you do not know anything about Buhari except what you were told. By the way how old were you when Buhari was the head of state between dec 31, 1983 and august 1985? Were you born then? Well I suggest that you ask those who have knowledge of that period how his leadership imposed hardship and wickedness in the land. You may also want to ask what his war against indiscipline was tailored to achieve. Ask why his leadership was cut short by the same people he organised the coup with. Why did he participate in trauncating a democratic government and now he call himself a domocrat. What has suddenly changed? His present leadership in all facets of our society what has it brought? The same hardship of that time is what we face now. Look this country needs professionals in politics and not professional politicians. Those who sell their possessions to get there and loot. Those who are backed by professional politicians to get their and cover up. |
barsh300:But you did not talk about the capital outlay. You make it sound so simple. |
AGideon:Yes, with due respect to your question. Water carries acid on one hand and good properties called nutrients which are very good for your health. You must be very careful with the water you take and how you source your water. Acid is the principal source of cancer in the body. If you look for a Ph meter, you can measure the level of acid in your water or what is called alkaline. Good properties of water include zinc, sodium, calcium, etc. For you to get good water, therefore, you need a very good quality water purifier. Water from a very good water purifier gives you exactly what you get from drinking spring water that has made contact with rocks. If you require a very good water purifer please contact me right away. You do not need to travel to those countries mentioned or spend such amounts of money. Cheers! |
If you take a look at the life and times of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, no doubt and if possible you may want to ask God how come the man so far has enjoyed so much in this life. The story of his life begins with a disadvantage. Born to parents who just squeezed at that time. Over the course of time he attended secondary school and joined the army. That period was his only contact with the disadvantages of life. In the army he made great and powerful friends and was favoured with very great positions before and after 1970. Take a look at his life after the civil war: - Member the supreme military council - After the overthrow of General Gowon he became second in command to General Murtala Mohammed - Became head of state between 1977 & 1979 - 'Retired' to Ota where he acquired huge lands to farm and set up the biggest poultry in west Africa. - While in 'retirement' got several international positions - Remained very relevant in the affairs of the nation even during the dark era of Abacha - Accused of treasonable felony and coup by Abacha but escaped death - Became civilian president in 1999. The first Nigerian out of two to achieve that feat - Went back to his Ota farm in 2007 after 8 years. - Became a very strong political leader thereafter. - You need him to become the president of Nigeria now - He is a traditional title holder - He is a Pastor - He has a university doctorate - His children possess university doctorates - He is a university lecturer - He is a politician - He is extremely wealthy - He has properties all over - He has plenty of children - He is an old man (over 80) - He is physically strong And many more. Haba! the advantage is too much o. The man's birth disadvantage converted to advantage(s). Why are so many suffering in our country? We have leaders who are so blessed yet poverty stinks in the land. Oh God please convert the disadvantages of Nigerians to advantages so that poverty can vanish from Nigeria forever. |
IjebuWarrior:Ok. Why don't you try to bring a non Nigerian 'househelp' into your home - that is if you have one - so that you can experience their ways. By then you can personally decide if you still have a brain to oil and repair. |
AntiMahdi:You probably did not read the story of what transpired. The wife of the man left home to make some purchases. The young man seeing his opportunity enterred into the man's bedroom which was against the rules of his engagement. The man asked him what he came there to do but the boy killed him. However before he died he phoned his wife to alert her of the attack. Before she got home the househelp had escaped. Our prayer is for God to keep away evil people who mask themselves as househelps whereas they are witches, wizards, robbers and killers. |
DrDauda:Thank you for your response to that post. Some people either were very young during the vice presidency of Atiku or simply were not aware of political events of that time. The OP commented on what he did not know anything about. It was very well known to all that president Obasanjo instituted an economic team. Atiku was handed that potfolio as the head of the team. Who brought in El Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu? Atiku. Atiku brought in most of the members. Obasanjo brought in Dora Akunyili having heard about her honesty in a London hospital. Atiku as the head of Yaradua movement called the PDM was in control of the then 23 governors leading to the 2003 election. He won the governorship of Adamawa state in 1999 but was asked to drop the ticket for his deputy and become the vice president. The reason for Obasanjo/Atiku diagreement was 1. the awesome power wielded by Atiku 2. Obasanjo kneeling to beg Atiku to allow him contest in 2003. Obasanjo's jealousy and anger that 21 PDP governor's were waiting to vote Atiku in the 2003 presidential primary. Tony Anenih had the job of begging them all and appeasing Atiku. After winning the election Obasanjo (a man who never forgives) chose to take his pound of flesh against Atiku. That is the genesis of the feud between them. The result is Obasanjo's move to damage Atiku's business as he did to Orji Kalu. Seeing Obasanjo's third term ambition Atiku frustrated it and their full scale war started. Obasanjo moved against all Atiku's known companies and it cost Atiku the opportunity in 2007. The rest is history. Politicians will forever be liars. Okonjo Iweala subdued some well known truths in her book in an attempt to portray herself as very holy. Intels which is the subject in this money laundery matter is not fully owned by Atiku. Atiku has not been tried because there is no evidence against him and his wife Jennifer. He has the right to contest and hopefully he will win. When Buhari became head of state between dec. 31,1983 and august 1985 there was hardship in the land. Peoples businesses were destroyed by soldiers and peace taken away. Now history has repeated itself. Hardship in the land and no peace. Buhari must go. |
naijapikin04:Very good. But how can a 51 year old man be called 'youth'? |
There is news of the decamping of a former governor of Edo state and former chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun to the PDP. The former chairman of the APC was said to have declared for the PDP last weekend in Benin city. He has not featured so much recently in the activities of the APC following his very brutal rejection and removal by aggrieved party leaders. |
