MrColdsweat:I totally agree with all these equality talk. But, really, what is equality? Is it when men and women are paid equal? That cannot be totally possible, because women cannot compete in many fields. Is it when we create a counterpart role for each office? That will be totally unneccessary because some roles are best suited for a specific gender. Is it when we demand equal contribution in the home? What about the grey areas? |
The truth is that no one gender can do without the other. So we cannot both 'go our separate ways'. The child needs both parents to have a balanced view of live and that requires a nuclear unit; the family. We can't have that if we all go our our own ways. We cannot deny that each gender is physiologically and emotionally built for a specific function. So we can't attribute our emotional and physical responses to purely cultural stereotyping. Trust me, 'equality' cannot be achieved through some political or constitutional means. Only each man [and woman] can work on their weaknesses and ignorance to liberate themselves from their own form of inequalities. Because as long as a man cannot see pussy and say 'no' to it, women will always trade it for their own advantage. Remember it is a primordial weakness. That's why "prostitution is the oldest trade". Peace!! |
I am not ugly, I am very dark skinned. I have met girls who laughed at me and swore they can never date a "devil" like me. I have also been 'toasted' by some REALLY BEAUTIFUL Queens who gushed all over me. Believe it or not, but I have been 'raped' by three ladies at once. All I am just saying is, even if you are 'ugly' for real, you can still be attractive to someone who respects you. The chick obviously doesn't respect you or is only tryna scope her way back into the exe's life. She's still in love with the idiot. And you sef, no dey sneak enter people privacy. |
Trust me, the question of 'God' is one that only you can answer for yourself. We have one thing in common; we ask questions. Those who already have one thing they believe in without question are the lucky ones. I came from a mixed family of die-hard Christians and Muslims. I studied the Bible cover to cover more times than I can count. I read the entire Qur'an only once (that book na total rubbish, no offence intended). I joined a Christian/Muslim study group in Minna where we read all kinds of books and answer questions together. I still have questions. My biggest question is: how do I prove there is no God and there is, if he cares at all. He has never proven himself to me. I don't wanna believe simply because I was told. I will suggest you read this novel: Blasphemy by Douglas Preston. |
MrRegret:God bless you. You just said it. I wouldn't want my children to obey me out of fear of getting thrown out, but out of love. Bless You! |
Honestly, this hell issue is the one thing that's making me doubt The Bible and 'God'. If The Bible really claim it is real, then, gaskiya, it is really dissappointing. I choose not to even think about it because thinking about it makes me seriously question 'God'. Just imaging; the most evil place in the universe was created and designed by the most benevolent being. And He is ready and willing to torment (not just destroy) the creatures He loves the most in such a place FOREVER. If only just one Man should end up in such a place, I somehow believe it is a big insult to God's deity. NO MAN, HOWEVER EVIL DESERVE SUCH A FATE. So, I am sorry, I cannot believe in such a place because it is derorgatory to the idea of 'God'. Any religion that claims believe in hell to me is not from God. It is a human invention. Simple. |
[quote author=Yusufisraelj post=98275119]My brother friends don't bullshit and lie to themselves, if you are friends with the younger sister give her her options, no relationship, it may hurt, she's invested emotions on you and that in itself is an issue, bkos "kids" at that level should learn to relate with people without attaching so much emotions, As per your question, pleasing everyone is the ticket to nowhere and being an ass licker (sorry for those strong words). Define yourself, know your target and shoot your shot.[/quo Thanks abeg. What I learnt from this drama; 1)never get too close to your charge of the opposite gender. It may give wrong signals to an innocent teen. 2) never seek public opinion to deal with personal issues, especially on Nairaland; most of them deliberately twist your narrative to fit their bigoted mindset. Not you though. Thank you for your candid advice. |
Sammmyyyy:thanks for your advice. Of course NOTHING will ever happen between us (I and the younger). |
KennedyKennedy2:as I said earlier, I never mind the insults because I know not everyone on NL is normal. But I want y'all to know that I, as a personal rule, can never date or even touch an underaged girl or even any female friend at all (believe it or not). But yes! We are close. And I am not even considering the thought of dating this one. All I am asking for is How do I let her know it can never happen between us without offending anybody. I was thinking of telling the big sis but it may cause some problems Between them. But it is ok if everybody thinks I wanna do the little girl; as I said, not every body is normal. |
This girl in my church whom I am crushing on. I approached her in 2017. But when I somehow found out she was just 17 years I told her to forget my 'proposal'. I told her we can't date because she's underage. We've been really close since then. But I am much more closer with her younger sister (as-per "in-law" na). I became like an uncle to the younger sis. Now that I am about to finally "toast" the elder sister [again], the younger one started acting funny. She calls me all the time, send me good morning/night messages, Want us to meet, etc. I never thought much of it because I never had any romantic intentions torwards her. I always thought she was like 14-15. But just today she met me and told me she is now 17 (will be 18 in March) and want us to date. She's my only real friend in the entire town, but I don't wanna go that way with her (although she is much more beautiful than ...). My dilemma now is how to best explain this to her without losing her as a friend. I don't mind insults, but at least ... . |
That's white people for you; they take their time to train every thing. Here in my country, motherfuckers roast dogs for lunch. Dogs are really smart creatures, but my countrymen no send. |
I think I understand your pains. I have a brother who never makes compromises for any body. And thank Goodness you acknowledged your own problem of nagging. The best way to deal with obstinate people like that is to either ignore them or leave them. The more you talk, trying to make him see your point, the more reasons they get to thicken that defensive wall. Just do your "duty" as a wife and mother, but pretend he doesn't even exist outside that bound. I am not a religious person so I don't believe prayers can help you. |
Malam! Na because she get blue eyes You fell in love. Simple. |
What I most confused about is 'why you still tolerate and even let her stay in your house after all this'. As the first commenter said: she only wanna get hooked because society expects every lady (if we can even call her that at all) to be married. Give her that 'security' and she get the perfect cover to do all her shenanigans. And I feel you got a bit of a low self esteem to even debate whether or not she should leave. Just tell her straight to her face to leave your house and your life. Marriage doesn't change bisexuals; it only gives them impetus. |
etrouble:So in your blind hate, you also forgot that There is no Africa without the Hausa or the Fulani. The largest indegenous language in Africa is Hausa! The largest ethnic ruling class in Africa are the Fulani. So we can't have "Africa Amaka" without them! I know we are dragging them along, but we are still brothers. BLOOD! |
Wish I can have the superpower to identify any trace all motherfuckers and take them to some remote island and separate them into like-minded idiots like them. Then watch 'em tear each other apart. e.g. I take all Bokoharam idiots, all ISIS, and Alshabaab idiots and dump them somewhere in south Pacific. Watch 'em live out their useless extremism together. |
Girls are generally devils. Avoid them like a plague! |
I am one of those people who really do not care about sex. It means nothing to me. I've had problems with friends and ladies because of that. So it is really odd to me all the craze about sex. I really don't care how you look or who you are, but you are not doing a favour when WE have sex; you owe me nothing and I owe you nothing. |
I understand how that feels, hating on your will help neither you nor your father. I've always seen men disgressing their generations because of pussy and i've always hated it, but never knew there is a name for them; SIMPS! |
So who is supposed to die now for you to do? |
I don't wanna make a long post, so I will only list them. I am a singer too and I have what many people consider a good singing voice. But with time I realise that vocals is not everything in the music industry. This list is meant to let fellow up and coming artistes know that you don't need to go all Chris Brown to make it. Put as much effort into our content and general brandingistifk1 as we put into our vocals. We cannot hail these guys for their vocal prowess, but we can also not deny the fact that they contributed greatly to their contemporary music. 1: Daddy Showkey 2: Tony Tetuila 3: African China 4: Fela. 5: Danfo Driver 6: Naira Marley 7: Zlatan Ibile 8: Small Doctor 9: Olamide 10: Lil Kesh. |
GuestLog:trust me, Chris Brown, with all his professionalism cannot sing Afro no matter how hard he tries. Music is art, lets not turn it into some form of rocket science professionalism. |

Everybody says Almajiris are illiterates, but they can read and write and speak Arabic far more than most Nigerians can do with English. I wish we can make Arabic an official language |
And the brother come get better name! |
My prediction 1:1 |
Youthleader22:Ok, sometimes I am proud we have people who see things from some better angle. I was condemning the man for wasting his years in a foreign land without seeing this angle you just pointed out. Thank You. |
Staying in UK is an achievement ![]() Jeez!!!! |
captainbell:Simple and short. |
It shows they wanna let the royal succession line continue without interruption. I love this Harry guy!!!!! |
FoolishModsTurm:I believe Iran too have their own Media. Let them broadcast their truth. You will always blame the USA for everything. But deep down, you know that if not for them, this world would've been in shambles. And of course, they must benefit somehow from all of it. Nothing wrong with that. Bleep Soleimani |
