jimcaddy:you people should please try and pretend you went to school and have common sense. Government cannot demolish property if you have legitimate papers, particularly CofO or governors consent etc. Now common sense will tell you that the government cannot grant you cofo for land over which petroleum pipeline passes through. it's like saying government granted you c0f o over land that is on the lagos ibadan expressway and you build a house on it. it cannot happen, no matter the corruption in Nigeria it cannot happen!!!!! There is corruption in Nigeria and the civil service but there are limits to corruption, thats not how civil servants do their corruption. I repeat No government will grant you a c0f o over land that has been reserved for special purposes (i forget what the technical term for such land is). if a 419 sold you the land, thats not the governments problem. Even if you are sold fake land, it is your duty and that of your lawyer to go and check that the land has not been earmarked (again I forget the technical term) . there are lots of land that look like empty land that are actually government reserved land, typical examples are lands along expressways, airports, pipeline, the water front etc etc. i challenge anyone whose house was pulled down to produce a legitimate c of o. if you do not have a legitimate c of o, you dont own the land to begin with, so why are you building a house on it? you will hear them shouting documents, what documents? is any of the documents a cof o? receipt of sale is not document, building approval is not document, anyone can obtain building approval on land that doesnt belong to them. The document you need to have is a document giving you legitimate right to the property. |
dominique:Compensate for what? |
pinkygurl:They were all given notice. Let us stop pretending we don’t know our people. The woman was going on about not been allowed to go get her things but we all know once she is allowed she won’t come out daring the workers to destroy the properties with her in it. |
concho:You know how we buy fuel at gas stations and the attendant keeps filling trying to put more petrol in the tank even though the nozzle has tripped? Well, you are damaging your purge valve. Never fill your tank beyond the 1st click of the fuel nozzle. It will eventually damage your purge valve and vapor canister. The vapor canister is designed for fumes not overflow of liquid petrol which is what happens when your force too much petrol into your car. There is a reason the nozzle goes “click”. But Nigerians are uninformed. DO not allow the attendant to continue to put petrol into your tank after the 1st “click” Do not listen to all these quacks telling you to remove your tank or fuel pump. Scan your car 1st. |
camri:speak english please |
Uchesis:Obasanjo picked jonathan as VP against the party's choice of Odili. Obasanjo knew Yaradua was sick. |
Uchesis:Buhari did nothing to help Tinubu become president, if anything he willingly or unwillingly, knowingly or unknowingly did everything to sabotage his becoming president, at best he was neutral while others tried to prevent him Tinubu president. Electoral act Party chairmanship party primaries Naira scarcity neutrality "i have no candidate". "vote for your choice" etc, etc |
AsomStructures:ugly |
osinbajo the betrayer who betrayed his position as a pastor and tried to use religion to reap where he did not sow should be grateful that God blessed him with the position of VP he never worked for and ride off into the sunset and retire with his tail between his legs. You tried to betray your benefactor and you lost shamefully. Nobody cares, your political career is finished. Shameless pastor!!! let his story be a lesson for ingrates |
bazoodo:they were both military stooges. both were installed by Obasanjo |
TheBillyonaire:Who told you humans are equal, the same white man that is now telling you men can marry men and people can change sex? The same white man that has preached equality such that there is now an epidemic of unmarried mature women who despite successful careers are childless and will die lonely? Better retrieve your brain from the the shackles of enslaved colonial inferiority complex before the white man blindly destroys your life and society like they have done theirs. Equal opportunity is not the same as equality and equal opportunity comes with opportunity cost of pursuing those opportunities. Eating your cake and having it is a myth. |
sonature1:Please don’t, I’m already getting a headache from your stupidity |
sonature1:Competence has never been Tinubu’s problem, you can throw a lot of things against him but not incompetence. The reason why he is where he is today despite all the question marks against him is precisely competence! |
Adebanjo is bringing Afenifere into disrepute with his personal animosity against Tinubu, he is making Afenifere sound like Ohaneze as the days go by. So if The tribunal decides against Tinubu what happens? Who becomes president? Certainly not Obi because he came 3rd!, will Obi accept Atiku as president, will Atiku accept Obi as president? Even if Tinubu loses at the tribunal the case will not be over for whoever becomes president so why the rush for may 29? Is INEC going to organize a rerun election before then? These kinds of statements are the seeds of a constitutional crisis. It is better to have a president that can later be removed than a case where we have no president. Afenifere aka Adebanjo should stop betraying his age, experience and education by descending into murky lows of Ohaneze by making ridiculous public statements. Just like with governors, the proper thing is to swear in the winner and if indeed his election is illegitimate, he can be removed and the proper winner sworn in later. The stupid and irresponsible thing is to create a constitutional crisis and a vacuum of governance. |
where are the pictures of Obi's visitors, I have not seen any since Feb 25th! This is not fair, at least people should visit to console!! |
it looks like a market |
IyaebeTheGreat:big men dont deal with hungry girls |
Spicycat:meanwhile some have moved to onitsha where they were sighted jogging in preparation of their inauguration as president of IPOB |
what do you need help for again? |
oglalasioux:or a woman who was a housegirl or local squeeze for an oyinbo man while he was in Nigeria and got pregnant. There are plenty like that especially in the oil sector regions. Some of them marry the whitemen and I guess the oyinbo refused to marry this one but collected the child. |
kettykin:Sacrificing what? Is air peace not getting paid, is the evacuation free? are they not benefitting from exclusive international routes, are those lucrative international routes allocated to Airpeace ibo routes or Nigerian routes? are they not making money from Nigerians? is it only ibos that fly air peace? is helping your fellow citizens as a national airliner something that is now an exceptional act? Can he afford not to? Let airpeace sit down and not lift Nigerians in need and see what will happen to the patronage of his airline….nonsense!!! we commend Air peace but lets not get this twisted, this is a purely business and PR decision. He can't afford the backlash of a failure to evacuate Nigerians. Air peace will not survive a national emergency where it refuses to offer its planes for evacuation...it will be dead within a year!!! |
NuraSambo:The same Tinubu that has empowered so many ibos. This is why bad behavior should not be rewarded with senate presidency. There is nothing you will do for the ibos, so long as they are not in the presidency (even as a junior partner feeding on crumbs like they’ve always done under Balewa, shagari, Abacha and PDP) they will never be happy and will always shout victimization. The biggest mistake Tinubu can make and his 1st big mistake will be to zone SP to SE if he does. |
The right result is for SS to emerge SP both in terms of equity and reward. it is bad practice to reward those who did not support you at the expense of those who did, it is bad practice to reward those who threaten to bring the house down at the expense of those who supported you, it is bad practice to placate those who can never be placated at the expense of those who stood behind you. Take care of those who stood behind you before placating others. Whatever you do for the Se they are going to give Tinubu hell like they did to Buhari. Nothing you do for them if you like build 200 Niger bridges, if you like build rail line, if you like turn SE into Dubai, they are still going to give Tinubu hell for the next 8 years. So why risk alienating your allies for an ungrateful bunch? |
awa:Nothing wrong with Kalu contesting for the presidency but when he dropped out, he campaigned against Tinubu and against southern presidency. He wasnt loyal to the end, he doesn’t deserve SP. . Ordinarily he should have had a very strong case for SP but he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory |
Senate presidency should go to SS |
OloyeOfLagos: Prenonjebose:Traditional rulers are employees of the state. In fact by law they need authorization from the local government before they leave their domains. This is why they can and are removed at the will of the governor. We seem to forget that all these traditional rulers lost their kingdoms to the British and were only retained to help administer the natives as employees of the British government. When the British left the governors inherited the powers of the British. However any constitutional recognition or role for traditional rulers disappeared in the 1979 constitution. You will not find any reference to traditional rulers in the constitution….under Federal law traditional rulers do not exist. They exist only under state laws and therefore are at the mercy of state governors. Traditional rulers are subordinate to governors, they only exist for preservation of traditions and TO AID THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DAY IN ITS DUTIES. Any traditional ruler that doesn’t play ball or thinks he still has a kingdom will meet his fate like Sanusi and ALaafin. Many people do not know that ALaafin was the supreme king in Yoruba land until he decided to act against Awolowo and support Akintola. Awolowo promptly demoted him and promoted Ooni Aderemi as the supreme Yoruba King. This is the root of how Ooni became the paramount King in Yoruba land today. Traditionally the paramount king of the yorubas is the ALaafin. You will not find any account in history that will tell you that the Ooni was superior to ALaafin prior to this event in the early 1960s. In fact Ooni was traditionally Not highly regarded prior to this. |
This Obi is a dunce! You sued INEC, you joined them in a suit how can they be “neutral” when they are a defendant? |
I didn’t read the whole story because it is too long but the bottom line is this: The man has willed his estate to whom he felt he wants to inherit them. Whether it is right or wrong is not not for you or anyone to decide because it is not their property to determine where it goes. The person who owned the property has decided who he wants to inherit them. End of story. You don’t know hat happened during his life that he kept quiet about you know we men can know stuff and take crap and keep quiet for peace while we are alive…who knows maybe the son is not his or the son did things you don’t know about. Bottom line it is his property to give as he deems for, that’s the essence of a will. |
helinues:were they going to win before? |
She must be older than 54 if she completed her WASC in 1981. People who completed WASC in 1981 are on average 58 and above today. You may get a few who are 57 or possibly 56 but not 54. If she is 54, then she was born in 1969 or 1968 which means she completed her WASC at 12 or 13….I don’t think so! Is she saying she entered secondary school at age 7? Idontbelieveit!!!!! |
this is why we say Obidients are the dumbest of the dumbest. Anyone who thinks a SAN cannot afford a mere $300k property is beyond help. |
arejibadz:the same man who imported toothpicks, ketchup, wine, and other things that can produced in Nigeria in the 4000 containers? |
