A man owns a falcon 7x openly and doesn’t hide it and you are busy compiling list of properties, can you not see we are not serious people? All these properties together are probably not up to the price of a falcon 7x. You think he would be building another mansion in Ikoyi or openly riding a falcon 7x if he has anything to hide knowing he is running for presidency? We like chasing shadows. |
misano:Tell us where they stated they were not being paid. Both 747 and 777 cost approx $30,000 per hr in fuel and operating costs, Abuja to Cairo is 5hrs each way, that is $300,000 per trip. All you need is the extremely rare common sense. |
Emeskhalifa:They are all getting paid, it is not charity much as airlines like Airpeace try to spin it, though it may not be from the $1.2m. |
This shows the kind of daft people we elect to represent us. The fact that I didn’t vote in2 election cycles does not mean I am dead, it could be that I did not find any of the candidates worthy of my vote. Unlike other countries like Australia, voting is compulsory is not compulsory in Nigeria. |
Meanwhile both are not in APC. Amaechi chased him out for Tony’e Cole. River state winners, Wike and Abe, losers Amaechi and Cole. |
IyaebeTheGreat:your post shows you dont think right. Firstly there is something called gratitude and loyalty, let him mess up 1st. Always give people the opportunity to be the one to mess up or betray but always plan for betrayal. Secondly, there are some people no matter how unreliable you think they are that you want on your side than against you. Was Tinubu not better off having FFK on his side despite the fact that everybody know he is the most unreliable political prostitute out there apart from Atiku and Dele Momodu ? if he can accomodate FFK that brought no votes and really has no use except as an attack dog, why betray Wike that actually delivered a state? you are not ready to be a politician if you keep dumping people once they have served your purpose, this is one reason why Obi is not president. Like I said this is not the way to think. |
Wicked Wike!!!! |
you have not commisioned road, hospital or school you are visiting office of 1st lady that is not in the constitution? Even dancing governor has commissioned roads and you bith entered at the same time!!! Better sit up, things have changed o!!! |
AndroBlaze:You clearly are too young and are a product of a lack of history classes. Awo won current Delata and Edo states. You probably don’t know edo and delta were part of the old western region and Awo,s free education and other programs in that region when he was premier. There is a reason Alfred Rewane and Alex Ibru were staunch Awo loyalists. He also did well in gongola (taraba/adamant) although he didn’t win. Gongola was the only region outside the LOOBO states (Lagos Oyo, ogun, bendel and ondo). as they used to be called then where Awo did well. By the way Awo only got about 2% in Benue…so much for your knowledge of what occurred in 1979, truth is if you actually knew anything about Nigerian politics in 1979, you would know that Tarka was aligned with Shagari in NPN in 1979 under which he contested and won a senatorial seat. As for religion, religion was not an issue in politics in the Awo era. Nobody EVER EVER talked about religion, the issues were tribe and north v south. For instance Jakande and his deputy were both Muslims, he won by 95% in Lagos, Awo and his running mate in 1979 Phillip Umeadi were both Christian’s and both southerners, A state like Oyo with many Muslims, Bola ige and his deputy S.M. Afolabi were both christians, same with Ogun and ondo. In 1983 he chose a northerner but not because of religion but for Northern penetration. Nobody talked about religion in our politics until 1999. Even when Abiola picked a Muslim in 1993 religion was never an issue. In those days most yorubas were known by their Yoruba names, it is since 1999 that your childhood friends suddenly start bearing or adding their Muslim names when religion became part of our politics. As for Zik’s popularity, he only won 3 states, Awo won 5. The only state Zik won outside ibo land was Plateau, he lost rivers and cross rivers. If you look at the 13 states outside outside Yoruba and ibo lands, Awo beat Zik in more states than Zik beat Awo. There is a reason why it was Awo that took Shagari to court resulting in the infamous 12.2/3rds and not Zik….because Zik came 3rd…. Awo got almost twice the votes zik got. Zik’s glory days was pre and post independence before the 1966 coup, after that his star had faded as a national leader and was effectively a regional or ethnic politician. It has been difficult for any ibo politician to gather national support ever since and they are still not helping themselves with the brand of politics they play. It won’t cost you anything to verify before you post….especially if you were not a 1st hand witness to events.

ogododo:Very true. North would not have voted for him instead moved their votes to Atiku, people like me in the SW would have stayed at home rather than vote for a traitor in Osibanjo and the ibos will still have voted for OBI, wile would have mobilized for OBI ( or rather he won’t have bothered to rig Rivers for Tinubu). The net effect is Atiku lwould have won. |
IyaebeTheGreat:The Jagaban is the man they wish Obi can be but deep down they know he is not fit to lace his boots. |
Lanretoye:Honestly I am really worried that we will have problems with power failure at the rate some wailers will hug transformers for the next 8 years. |
IyaebeTheGreat:It was banter…a joke! |
Skankamola:Not to educated illiterates. You can read, you can write but you do not know the true meaning of what you read or write…that’s the definition of an educated illiterate. To make matters worse you lack the initiative in a world of free online dictionary to check the meaning before you talk. |
Skankamola:If you were properly trained and educated, you will not come here asking me to explain what commercial is. I can’t be having a conversation with someone and at the same time teaching them English. You should have learnt English at home or at school before being sent to the world. Your education or home training should either have equipped you with the knowledge of the meaning of the word or the gumption to use a dictionary not to start to engage in a discussion on a matter whose definition you by your own admission do not even know. |
Skankamola:Oga like I always say, the problem with Nigeria is we speak English but many do not understand or comprehend the meaning of the English words, it is difficult to communicate with someone who does not understand the language. Please look up the definition of “commercial” and while you are at it look up the meaning of “trafficking”. Also go and check for exactly what Ekweremadu was convicted of. |
Skankamola:First of all, it was for commercial purposes, that’s the whole point. Payment was exchanged, that is why he was convicted. Secondly you don’t appear to understand how big the issue of trafficking is for the UK. They don’t play with it. A day after he was arrested, before trial even commenced, he was stripped of his visiting professorship at Oxford. They don’t play with trafficking! Ask anyone who lives in the Uk how big the issue of trafficking is, be it forced Labour, prostitution, organ or human trafficking…they don’t play. You are more likely to commit fraud in the Uk and not see prison than human trafficking. Every country has certain offenses they don’t mess with, in the Uk there are some offenses you don’t want to be charged with e.g child abuse, human trafficking etc, if you are found guilty you will see prison, no exceptions. Note he wasn’t even given bail, that tells you the seriousness of the offense. You can commit Million pound fraud in the Uk and get bail yet they refused a parent of a sick child bail, that tells you everything. The noise they have made and campaign against trafficking and the coverage of the matter in the press especially by the notorious daily mail is such that they can’t afford to be seen to be lenient…..It’s as simple as that. If anything, Ekweremadu’s profile could work against him and make it more likely he gets a harsh sentence to send a message.. The likelyhood of diplomatic fallout is very low and the PR upside to the fight against trafficking is very high. He is not a critical figure to the ruling party such that it may damage relations and his party is unlikely to be in government for a very long time, if ever. He is dispensable to all parties. As for Abike, that is precisely my point. Like you said the case has been on for months, why is she writing letter now a few days after coming under attack from ibos in Sudan? You are chairman of diaspora commission, matters affecting Nigerians outside Nigeria is the reason you exist and you didn’t think to write a letter a month ago when OBJ was writing letter, suddenly they attack you in Sudan and you remember your keyboard? She is just dotting her “I”s and crossing her “t”s. |
Skankamola:Anyone who understands how big the anti-human trafficking campaign is the the Uk, knows there is no way the UK will be lenient. Their citizens will crucify them and call them hypocrites. If anything they are more likely to use all these appeals as free publicity to play to the gallery and show their citizens they are tough on trafficking. They have made trafficking a big issue domestically and It is too big an issue for them to be lenient. That’s the reality facing Ekweremadu! Abike is just protecting herself from attacks from ibos. |
The outrage of the local population will outweigh the diplomatic fallout if any. He will go to jail. |
tesppidd:I forgot to add that not only does he have no electoral value, he was working for Atiku. This is the reason Cole was snubbed by Tinubu when he won and he came to visit. |
tesppidd:Because it was clear Amaechi has no influence on Rivers votes , instead he drove Tinubu’s ally Abe out of APC. |
pheelhip:Walk away! |
please note the name, this is a yoruba man o, so when ibos commmit infractions and they are made to face the law, you don't start shouting lagos hates Ibos. |
An entire tribe cancelled Soludo for Opposing Obi, no big deal. One man snubs one man and this is a big deal? |
What exactly is the problem here? Do people not buy assets seized by the government? I didn’t see anywhere where they said the money he used to buy the property was stolen or looted funds. |
Bespeaking English talking nonsense there, that’s why you were removed as Emir and Your boy’s political career is finished! |
Tntsi:The problem of Lagos is the daily deluge of people fleeing their towns and villages for Lagos. Those of us old enough to know Lagos before the influx know Lagos was a wonderful city. However no manner of infrastructure can cope will unchecked migration because the more you provide, the more they come. And the people that are coming pay little taxes in comparison to the burden they put on infrastructure. In short Lagos is a victim of its own success and the failures of other states. People from states that are performing do not migrate. |
jimcaddy:It’s not a question of “may”, they don’t! Govt will never give you a cof o over land that belongs to FAAN and under which petroleum pipeline runs. 2 different agencies of govt already own or have reserved that land and it will be in the lands registry. |
I thought there were no ibos in Sudan and Airpeace (who by the way has been quiet) was offering to airlift fulani, hausas and yorubas? |
someone that came 3rd? i can even understand if he came 2nd but 3rd? Better go and collect presidency of IPOB from Ekpa because we know your motive is ulterior. |
Sule was based in the US before he became governor, I suspect his children were raised there. |
electric vehicles are notorious for spontaneously catching fire and the fires are extremely difficult to put out. The battery safety technology is still too infant to be deployed in a 3rd world country like Nigeria. Recently a ship containing 4000 cars sank because it contained some electric vehicles that caught fire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzx5VNpwdgo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T71cVhxG_v4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWq-Mq1Uqpw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHALXWNdbU4 https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cargo-ship-luxury-cars-sinks-atlantic-ocean-portugal/ |
