Thanks for your update.

The Telegram group is relevant as it is currently having over 5,000 members of staff from Federal Tertiary Institutions across the country. A strong coalition may be produced from there very soon to fight for the interest of Federal Tertiary Institutions staff in Nigeria regardless of the unions they belong to.
Jombojombo:

The minimum wage arrears is awaiting final approval. Expect it this week hopefully.

Reliable information also have it that IPPIS have been directed to pay April salary this week.

Let's keep hope alive

I wonder why people will create a telegram group though. This platform is better

Lolz, bruh if she is a girl that really has my specs, I prefer to pass her test if she asked for something though it should be something that I can afford ohhhh. Otherwise, na only she waka come.
Samakus:

What stupid test? A girl that has started begging you for this or that a day after your date is a leech! Ordinarily, begging should be shameful. I feel ashamed begging my guys for something, let alone an opposite sex. There should be an element of self worth for any human. Begging takes away your prestige
Romance / Re: Guys! Have You Ever Regretted Missing Out On A Goal-Oriented Lady? by cerpvad(m): 7:44pm On Apr 19, 2020
In my opinion and from the experience I have, most if not all ladies are worried and desperate about marriage when they are aging, regardless of being goals getters or something.
My advice has always been ladies should be patient to build relationships and balance them with pursuit of life and career goals. Don't pause one for the other. Pursue the two simultaneously.
IAMBlesssed:

Exactly.. A woman should is not less a human. She should have her life goals and plans, the husband is meant ro be a partner. All she needs from a husband is love and support.

That being said, my point is that most women with this kind of mindset are not desperate/will not bait for marriage even tho they sincerely desire to be married because men who desire her would come for her.Above all, wise women know there's no happiness in such union..
Romance / Re: Guys! Have You Ever Regretted Missing Out On A Goal-Oriented Lady? by cerpvad(m): 7:37pm On Apr 19, 2020
Bruh it depends. If I take her out today and tomorrow she buzz me for let's say recharge card or cooking gas filling, I will oblige her and afterwards study her to see if that's her habitual attitude before concluding she is a leech or not..

The reason for my position is that Some ladies will like to test if you are stingy or not. So if she asks you something and you know you can afford it, give her. But if you cannot afford it, be open to her and make her understand
Samakus:

A woman that you take out and tomorrow she's already buzzing you for things is a leech. Don't sugarcoat it

So are you saying that a woman's life goals and plans should not start and end in her husband 's pocket?
IAMBlesssed:

Lol..
What do you guys think that marriage is? In as much as women wants marriage but most responsible ladies are not desperate for marriage especially with a 'stranger'.If u don't want to commit to her, another guy will see her worth and do the needful. She will be happy and appreciated.
The leeches are the ones that re actually desperate ones because u re their meal ticket..Their life goals and plans starts and ends in ur pocket..
Romance / Re: Guys! Have You Ever Regretted Missing Out On A Goal-Oriented Lady? by cerpvad(m): 7:56am On Apr 19, 2020
Hmmm, you see bruh, men are created to provide for their women's needs. Not every lady that demands or buzz you for things is a leech. Some can be demanding and yet have deserving characters and good attitudes.

I only consider you to be a leech when you receive everything you want from me and you don't show gratitude or appreciation
Samakus:

My brother, what I have learnt so far since that episode is that leeches don't waste time to display their true colour. Leeches don't know how to hide their leechy behavior for long.

More reason why you will meet a leech today, take her out and tomorrow, she's already buzzing for something as small as airtime! Leeching is like a virus. It manifests faster than you think

Lmao was this story set in the moon or here on earth?
Samakus:
Here's my story and it's a long read. Do brace up yourself, will ya....

If there's one thing I regret in life so far, it's missing out on Cynthia due to my complex issues then! Babe was a damsel from a stinkingly rich Anambra family and I, new employee in a federal school, was fidgeting about taking her on even when it was so clear that she was practically 'wetting for me'!

When I eventually mustered the courage to ask for a date. She smiled and said, ' I thought you're never gonna ask again! And on a date we went!

On that fateful day for our first date, she called me around 3pm and told me that she was at Chitis restaurant, that I should meet her up when I'm ready. Imagine your date choosing a venue for you (because you didn't tell her anyone you had in mind) and being there on time before you? shocked

To cut it short, I wore my nice cloth, and went to Chitis. Babe was already giving herself a nice treat. Fried rice and salad with a big Chicken, plenty fried plantains and of course, a nice wine to complement! I had 2k in my pocket, and hell yes, my mind skipped when I saw what was on the table cheesy. I stepped in and she offered me a seat! I smiled sheepishly, but deep down, I was wondering where I will get extra money to complete the payment for what she ordered which obviously was more than 2k already. Need I remind that she got a big EVA bottle water too cheesy

Looking straight into her eyes was quite difficult for me as this girl was a mermaid in human form! She has this cuteness about her and will make any man's heart skip a bit. Next thing I heard was, WHAT DO I GET FOR YOU? I knew that the question was for me but feigned deafness cheesy. She asked again with a smile, Hey Handsome, WHAT'S YOUR ORDER?

I looked at her in bewilderment but summoned courage to mutter, "Just rice and chicken! She asked me again: 'won't you like a drink or should I get you a wine? grin wink. I just said, no thanks, water will be good. Besides, she had a wine on the table already and i didn't see the need for another wine. She steeped to the counter, paid for my order and brought it to me.

We talked about so many things. But most of our discussions centered on our visions and plans for growth. Babe was giving me tips on businesses I can open within the campus when I get settled. For her, once she's done with school ( she's already in her finals), she will fly out to Canada for her Masters and then come back when she's done to head HR in her dad's company. I suggested to her to get her CIPM certification before doing her Masters since she had passion for Human Resources. Not ever hearing of CIPM, her likeness for me doubled.

We had a nice time and we left. She called her taxi guy to come drop her while I left for the shuttle park cheesy. She continued calling me after that and continued talking but I have already harboured the fear that her class was too high for me. Poor, naive me!! cheesy. I never took the next step with her. And she left after her graduation and became incommunicado as I never called her after our date cry

Looking back now, I feel like beating myself. She had everything I wanted in a woman physically. And had the right goals and penchant for success like I now do! I have seen a lot of ladies and can now appreciate what a gift, a lady with visions, plans and the right frame of mind, is for young man hustling to reach his dreams. Which girl will start discussing your visions and plans for a better life on your first date these days?

I missed Cynthia due to inferiority complex and naivity! I was young and stupid! I was 25 and just got a job in the school after finishing NYSC, when i met her. I pray I find a goal oriented Lady like Cynthia again! Because, they're very hard to come by these days!

Lalasticlala, can we discuss? undecided

Career / Re: Has Any Federal Civil Servant Received The New Minimum Wage? by cerpvad(m): 12:11pm On Apr 16, 2020
The post below was posted in the telegram group yesterday and it received little or no comment and reviews there. Guys what do you think about this analysis?

HOW DO WE EXPLAIN THIS:

For those staff who said minimum wage has since been implemented, I am not by any means arguing or saying that it's false; I'm just asking, "How do we explain this?"

From circulated memos on different platforms and fora (which was also posted here), I took time to do a little but indepth arithmetic and got so confused based on the theory that MW has been implemented.

From the memo (you can confirm for yourselves) -

For Grade Level 8/3 as used in the speculation.

February Salary: Paid N112,020.16

Alleged Deductions: - N9,726.92
Pension - N5,506.38
Union. - N1,182.16
Tax. - N3,038.38
——————
Total. - N9,726.92

Add paid amount to alleged deductions
N112,020.16 + N9,726.92 = N121,747.08 (gross)

But from the new minimum wage salary scale 8/3 is supposed to earn N130,061.25 as gross pay

So why do we have N121,747.08 as against N130,061.25?

March Salary: Paid N106,297.47

Alleged Deductions: - N24,544.11
Pension - N9,754.49
Union. - N2,601.29
Tax. - N8,936.80
NHF. - N3,251.53
——————
Total. - N24,544.11

Add paid amount to alleged deductions
N106,297.47 + N24,544.11 = N130,841.58 (gross)

Still different from the proposed new scale of N130,061.25.

Before I ask the questions, let's also note that the alleged 7.5%, 2% and 2.5% of Pension, Union dues and NHF respectively don't tally with their corresponding alleged values (as claimed to be deducted)

So I'll ask:

1. Why is February Gross different from the new MW salary scale Gross with a difference of N8,314.17
(N130,061.25 - N121,747.08)

2. Why the sudden leap in Pension charge?
from N5,506.38 to N9,754.49

Meanwhile from payslip (as at the sample Grade level) Pension charge rate is always within N5,506.38 range.

3. How does Union dues increase from N1,182.16 to N2,601.29?

3b. Did SSANU authorise such increment or IPPIS used their discretion to act on such over 100% increment? When we know that Union dues dances around N1,215.26

4. Tax deduction took an almost 200% increment from N3,038.38 in February to N8,936.80 in March; isn't that amazing?

5. As for the NHF scheme which I know should be voluntarily and not compulsory, let's assume the house plus land cost N3million.
N3,000,000 ÷ N3,251.53 = 922 months
922 months = 76 years

It'll then take us about 76 years to complete payment of the housing scheme. Wow!

Meanwhile, a fact to Note is:
N6,000 wasn't deducted in the March salary; it's N5,722.69 that was deducted.
N112,020.16 - N106,299.47 = N5,722.69 and not N6,000 as thought by members.

My Conspiracy Theory:

I might be wrong, it's just an assumption.

1. I think we're still on the old salary scale, that's the reason we were paid the gross of our grade level as at when we enrolled in IPPIS.

2. I think (based on a previous memo released, that there'd be no deductions in February salary) we were paid without any deduction in the February salary.

My worry now is with the N5722.69 difference in March payment; I can't wrap my head around that particular one.

I'll end by asking, "Would IPPIS pay minimum wage for two months without paying the arrears?

I learnt that some ministries received their minimum wage arrears credit alert even before receiving the minimum wage salary alert (some minutes/hours interval), so why's our own different, if truly MW has been implemented?

I beg for answers, because I'm confused.

The question is how do you verify BVN belonging to dead people. If money is sent to their accounts, are you expecting they will receive credit alerts in their graves?

That would be sorted out.The CBN said there are about 300,000 abandoned bank accounts.
The BVN system already has 40 million registered.Imagine the money even getting to 30 million or more, the Govt will be praised and very much appreciated than what they are currently doing. It seems the arrears have entered lockdown. Since heavy taxes and other deductions have swallowed the differences in the former salary and the new minimum wage, I am afraid there might no longer be any arrears left. Even if there are any arrears left, such might be very infinitesimal in amount.
