2023 election go sweet die.
There will be lot of bitterness and disappointments.
Amaechi cannot be President, same with Bola Tinubu.
Amaechi is only being used by the North as a Pun to distract the South political equation.
Amaechi is a political prodigal son of the South- South and indeed the entire South. He cannot Garner enough support even in Rivers State to win election in a presidential race. An Amaechi ticket will only give the North a great advantage to bring in a Northern candidate to floor him and give the North the Presidency. Perhaps that is the Northern agenda. Field Amaechi as the candidate, bring a strong Northern
Contender, and retain power in the North. Good scheme by the North.

The IBOs will always scuttle the chance of ever having a President of igbo extract... The reason being that their political elites are too selfish and politically unorganized and uncompromising to be united to achieve their purpose.
Presently they have over 7 candidates already in the ring and more will still come out and non will want to bow out for the other, thereby jeopardizing their chance of a united front. This has always been the problem of the Igbos from the onset.
The best candidate the igbo would have fielded to win the Presidential election is Ngozi Iwealla. But the brilliant woman who would possibly get wider National and International acceptability is out of contention as she holds a prestigious International appointments, and besides he dual citizenship will constitutionally disqualify her.

No doubt the North have a game plan to retain power in the North by hook or crook. They don't mind playing the South against each other.
Tinubu spent his money and energies to bring in Buhari as president, hoping he will be compensated as president after Buhari. But he forgets the North don't play to the rules. The last person the North want in Aso Villa is Tinubu.
If Tinubu is a smart politician he claims he is, he would have been seeing the handwriting on the wall.
He should know they won't allow him be president. He should play the Joker Card and give his support and Blessing to Yemi Osibanjo for the Presidency.
If he does so, Yemi Osibanjo will win because most people from all parts of the country will support and vote him. There are many people from the SE who will gladly support Osibanjo for Presidency.
But this is not Tinubu thinking. He wants the Presidency for himself, he wants the Senate for his wife, and he possibly want Lagos Governorship for his son. That way Nigeria is in his crooked pocket.
But Bola Tinubu will eventually be the greatest loser. He will loss the Leadership of APC and the stronghold of Lagos State.

You’re quite wrong with your submissions. 24 first season premiered in 2001 while that of GOT premiered in 2011, that’s a whole 10 years difference where social media has been a “thing” already. If 24 was to be aired now, it would sure get more traction than GOT - this is an opinion that’s hold by many industry critics.

Talking about deep plot and 24 been centered around Jack Bauer doesn’t make it any less intriguing and suspense-filled. The 24 plot is quite deeper (in my own opinion). 24 wasn’t produced again because Kiefer Sutherland wasn’t interested and he instead started Designated Survivor. You don’t expect Jack not to get older and his aging doesn’t in anyway take anything from the fact that 24 has a better plot than GOT. GOT lived mainly on social media hysteria and mob culture just like Blacklist nothing exceptional apart from the bogus budget and parading of stars.

To me, Prison break has an even better plot than GOT. GOT was quite okay tho.

Like you rightly pointed out, "24" Premiered long before GOT. Everyone that watched all seasons of 24 loved it. So the question is, how come a newly Premiered GOT was able to gain more traction and followership more than 24 in all the years that both series were released? Shouldn't a much loved and accepted 24 gain more traction with the social media than newly Premiered GOT that year?
Do you mean the same social media that you say worked for GOT couldn't also work for the much loved '24'?
There must have been something particularly special about GOT that got it the traction.

Secondly, there was some discrepancies on whether to still give Keifer Sutherland the role of Jack Bauer in the next episode.
I personally started watching 24 in 2006 and i followed 24 very closely and know much of the off screen issues.
When in season 9 I noticed the role they gave the lady, I told my wife that the producers were up to something and trying to play with viewers mind to see if they would accept her as the leading character for next season. So I wasn't surprised when that cropped up as they wanted to substitute Keifer.
Of course, viewers complained and that lead to cancellation of the show amidst Keifer Sutherland demanding pay increment.
He moved on to another series - Designated Survivor. And as you saw in that series, he didn't play a boisterous action role like Jack in 24 simply because he is older and gotten slower.

And lastly, don't get me wrong I love 24 as one of my best Series, but the intrigues in GOT is spectacular.
Besides, GOT has everything you need in a great movie - War, action, Romance, Politics, Mystery, Intrigue, Suspense Treachery, Espionage, Family Rivalry, Magic, History... you can name it.
Perhaps these are the reasons it stands above 24 (in my opinion though).

Exactly what I want to say as a reply to that poster. The only reason 24 didn’t get the same attention as GOT is simply Social Media. All aspects of life was covered on 24, nothing was left out and it was so real that you can imagine happenings of the film.

For obvious reasons, GOT was getting more traction than "24 " on social media even when viewers enjoyed both series.
1. GOT had a better plot than 24 and the intrigues was deeper.
2. GOT had a bigger budget and casting than 24. These factors are considered in rating.
3. "24" as a series revolved around Jack Bauer, unlike GOT with many casts that you can't pinpoint to one singular individual as the central cast.
Do you know why 24 ceased to come up again?
It's because the Producers felt Jack (keifer Sutherland) was getting older and slower, and they strongly contemplated on replacing him with the lady in season 9. This hasn't gone well with viewers. Couple with the fact demanded for increase in pay whereas the producers felt his performance was dwindling.
For me, 24 is an exceptionally good series, but GOT is better and bodies of Producers and Directors and those that rate series in the industry says so too.
That's why GOT has won more awards and 24 hasn't.

The truth is, people tend to like series based on their taste and ability to comprehend a plot.
A person who is attuned to fast paced action will easily take a liking to 24. The person might dislike or might not enjoy "Game of Thrones" or "Breaking Bad" if he is not attuned to twisted plots OR slow pace but deep plot as in the case of game of thrones and breaking bad respectively.
All in all, you need to understand the plot of a series totally to enjoy it.
Breaking bad is a slow paced series but very intriguing. It is acclaimed as one of the best Series made.

I don't understand the hype with Game of Thrones. I have the complete series; saw a few episodes and it didn't pique my interest. So I don't know how you can compare it with 24 where each episode from the very start leaves you wanting for more.

You can't like what you don't understand. There is no hyping about Game of Thrones. It is simply a Great series that caught global attention and accolades for it's story line.( Though many followers were not satisfied with how it ended).
It has won many awards back to back. The only series with much award close to it is "Breaking Bad".

24 is a very good series no doubt, but it has gotten the attraction cos of it's fast paced action and espionage tinge. As good as 24 is, it has never won any award that I know of.
Game of Thrones is for matured mind.
And one of the high point of game of thrones is that no one knows what will happen next. Not even the actors knew the script or how it will end. It was suspense till the very end.
Even the Producers of the Game or thrones might not be able to replicate another good series as GOT.

They don’t have a clue who Jack Bauer is, and it’s disrespectful to class 24 with the Legend of the Seeker. The series was too short in itself.

I would still rate tv shows like Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad above Merlin too. But Merlin and the Legend of the Seeker are really great shows.

Worthy mentions are Power, Prison Break and Vampire Diaries.

Yeah, Breaking Bad is ranked among the best Series made. It even ranks above Prison Break.
But the prelude - "Better call Saul" has greatly been underrated.

Series like "OZ" and " Last Ship" are great series that have also been largely underated.

You can not categorize Titanic with 24, Merlin and Legend of the seeker.

Titanic is a Movie, while the other 3 are Series.

In their Category, Titanic remains one of the best movies ever produced, while in my opinion "24" is only second to "Game of Thrones" as best Series ever produced.

Whenever we are in that house, it stops working until I discovered spiritually those boys were into ritual money. After battling the whole and finally succeeded, our vehicle broke down in the middle of a heavy traffic that can easily arouse traffic agency to tow but luckily they didn't and we battled that night. At the end of the day, non of their funds followed us home because we practically spent all back running around while the evil boys were eating, drinking, smoking and fuckjking their future away.

We don ask God for mercy sha because the sign was there not to work in that house. Spiritual things are real...
