Inauguration of the 5-star Obijackson Chidren's Hospital underway in Anambra. There is a continuous private sector investment drive in Anambra
The reason i like this hospital is because they paid attention to the landscaping, which is rare in our part of the world. Maintaining grass, trees, water fountains is just as important as building the physical structures. A fact frequently overlooked by our people

Nigeria wants to intimidate Biafra by shouting war, war, war or send almajiri to threaten riots against Igbos in the north.Either way, it is a useless and failed approach. Biafra will also kill ab0kis in the south in retaliation and if Nigeria wants war instead of negotiation, then bring it on. The world has seen Biafrans have been peacefully protesting, while Nigeria has been shooting unarmed protesters.

Biafra is the ONLY hope for the Igbo man's maltreatment in Nigeria to stop.

There is no way Igbos can expect Nigerians to treat them as Nigerian citizens.

Igbo and other willings peoples must be architects of their own lives in Biafra.

It is non-negotiable.

Ugwuanyi seems like another Rochas in the making.
Is it the government's duties to feed school children?
Has he finished rehabilitating all dilapidated schools in Enugu?
Has he finished retraining teachers and increased their pay to motivate them?
How many schools in Enugu has adequate computers and internet services?
I hate welfare charged government....It makes people lazy.
Welfare isn't a bad thing per se.
The problem is that our leaders believe they can curry favour with it, instead of doing what they were voted to do. Which massive transformative development.

Ugwuanyi should concentrate on one key program. Perhaps, the dream of developing the Ninth mile free trade zone or to create a world class Enugu state that can attract tourists and investors. Playing to the gallery by feeding children is good. But is that why he was voted into office?

Obiano needs to be very careful with his actions especially when it's relates to Obi. Obi rescued his impoverished nothern region from poverty and suffering and still made their son a governor. He needs to remember Obi is in PDP and they have Osita Chidoka, there is Soludo somewhere and even Oseloka Obaze....He need to be focused and work very hard and impress Anambra electorate else he is a goner. Anambra will not settle for mediocrity. I like Obiano for his zeal and visions but he needs to be wise.
I have followed this unnecessary argument with fearful trepidation.
Why has val Obienyim started this mess?
Why hasn't Peter Obi stopped him?

Our leaders are indeed charlatans.

[s]My Igbo brothers, it is time to play Nigerian politics like the big tribe that we are.

We may not love the SW or North but interest in permanent. Let us stop smearing the images of our men in the APC.

In life there is a time to stoop to conguer. Sometimes a man must bend low to win. The bible teaches that prides goes before a fall and also that humility comes before honour.

Let us put pride aside and build alliances with the north and SW so that after Buhari we can produce the next president of Nigeria.

Our own revered Chuba Okadigbo said when he was alive that there are many routes to Aso Rock but the fastest is through the north.

Let us stop trying to fight what we cannot change. The political weight of the north is second to none in this country and can never be overlooked.

A word is enough for the wise.[/s]
Yoruba and Hausa should just leave Igbos to form their own country.
They have rejected Igbo and done a lot of horrible things that has poisoned the spirit of Nigeria's independence in 1960. Igbos cannot be expected to live as slaves or second hand citizens in an african country and not do anything about it.

Igbos should and must leave Nigeria for hausa and yoruba. Let them enjoy Nigeria without Igbo. Afterall, That is what they always wanted anyway.

Do we have to wait for Abuja before we solve our problem or invest in a high yielding venture in Anambra State?
I always wonder why our people think of Abuja as a standard. If you look at Abuja as a standard, you will never do anything productive because Abuja is all about spending much more for much less. If the amount of money spent in Abuja had been spent in say Cape town, that city will be bigger than Los Angeles.

We should learn from cities as Gaborone, Kigali, Nairobi etc. These cities have progressed immensely with a fraction of what has been spent in Abuja.

My Mum (former gov't sec. School vice- principal) joined Imo state civil service in 1979 and was posted to serve as a teacher in Aba, then Abia state was still part of Imo state, later Abia state was created from Imo state in 1991.. Do u knw after 32years in civil
service with grade level 16, my mother alongside her non-Abia colleagues (2000+) were dis-engaged on d 1st Oct 2010 by Abia state govt led by Gov T. A. Orji (now Senator T.A. Orji) on the grounds that they are non-indegenes. Since October 2010 till date my mother had not received a kobo as her salary, pension, or gratuity after committing 33years of hardwork and labour as a teacher... My question now is
"How do u guys think we can be better with the actualization of Biafra??"

I hereby urge all my Igbo brothers and sisters to remain law abiding citizens of Nigeria and respect all d relevant authorities, it is not yet to time for Nigeria's dis-intergration.. We are Nigerians a country blessed with diverse

Politics › Re: Coal Mining: How FG Destroyed Enugu Money- Spinning Empire by ChimaAdeoye: 9:31pm On Nov 07, 2015
finniblinks:
Before the discovery of oil Nigeria depended on non-oil mineral resources. The economy was good and the citizens were generally happy. But in the 1970s oil came to replace the other mineral resources and the consequent abandonment of the others to the detriment of Nigerians who were engaged in the various sectors utilizing natural resources. One of such negative effects of dependence on oil
was the neglect of coal mining, which dealt a
devastating blow on the Nigerian Coal Corporation
(NCC). In Enugu where coal deposits were in abundance
and served as money-spinner for the Government,
the neglect is today evident as the vast coal mine
now lies waste.
In the end, their wickedness only served to preserve the coal for use in the independent state of Biafra and also provided a reference point to the wickedness of Nigeria against its owned supposed citizens.

Why is it only the North rejected it.

What is the position of the other stake holders?

Is the South made of cowards or are they charmed?

If the Southern leaders keep quiet and allow the North to sole decide the fate of Nigeria, it will be an inspiration for those us who are gentle in our approach to turn radical.
Nothing is wrong with the report.

Abooki just wants to show who is the boss in Nigeria. So they threw it into the dustbin.

you are absolutely right about driving the tourists round the tourist centres... Last time I watch a documentary on how a Cape Town tourist agency cater for the needs of the tourists which also included conveying them in a customized open roof bus (the kind found in London) to places of interest within the city, even this week I watch one almost thesame for Nairobi... These two cities have one thing in common, which is tourism; boosting their economy. Our state ministry of culture and tourism really needs to wake up from their slumber, and have a reconnaissance trip to these cities and others to find out how they did there... Your plan is really wonderful, I suggest you send something like a memo or so, to the state's website under the ministry (if they have opinion box) because that website is constantly updated.
I have indeed visited Kenya from USA with other family members and was received at the airport driven around exactly as i explained.
They even organized a small plane trip to an isolated airstrip in the middle of their national reserve safari. So, it is a system i experienced first hand and i know it works well. Which we can very easily copy from, if we are serious about making it easier for willing tourists to visit.
Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by ChimaAdeoye: 8:29pm On Nov 07, 2015
christejames:
Truly Enugu state should cash in now on tourism because the state has so many tourism potentials and attractive centres... Take the beautiful hills and escarpment for example, cable cars can be constructed on them like that in Obudu. The state has beautiful lacustrine areas, take the Nsukka cultural zone for example, no body would believe that there is constellation of lakes around the Opi axis of Nsukka, even some as large as the one in Agulu... The state govt can develope that place by building wonderful holiday resort around the area... The place is the around the new Enugu-Opi Nsukka road. I myself became aware of this amazing site, after my course mate went there on field work, and brought beautiful pictures that he took there... Maybe when I get back to school and He is still with the pictures I will upload them here.
Yes, you are right. Enugu is ripe to explore tourism as a resource generator.

But, The trick is how to get the tourists into Enugu, drive them to the locations and get them safely back on the plane to get home. For a tourist that has never been to Enugu and probably does not speak English nor Igbo, their biggest fear from coming is where will i find the hotel, what will i eat, how will i be safe? etc You can bridge this obstacle by using tour agencies located in their countries which are organizing holidays abroad for a total fee paid up front.

The use of tour arrangement agencies in their native countries working with Enugu state tourism board and major hotels in Enugu to work out details together. Millions of tourists are willing to visit Enugu for a week's vacation are told that it will cost $5,000 dollars for their airfare, hotel accommodation in Enugu and local transportation to the key tourist areas. They only need to pay for their meals while in Enugu.

These tour agencies will also work with Ethiopian airlines to help these tourists board a flight to Addis Ababa from their local countries and are transferred to the Enugu flight once they reach Addis Ababa.

The state government will work with major hotels in Enugu approved to participate in this program to provide 2 or 3 police escorts for the bus driving these tourists around. many countries in Africa do this very well and it supports their national economy.

Politics › Re: "With Biafra, It Is Finished" - Gowon {video} by ChimaAdeoye: 12:31am On Oct 24, 2015
The truth is that after yakubu Gowon administration, a lot of evil leaders propped up and institutionalized the discrimination and exclusion of Igbos from Nigerian polity.

Muhammadu Buhari took this discrimination to horrific level which has truly dashed any hopes of moderate Igbos that some day Nigeria will treat the Igbo people as equal citizens of Nigeria.

Beside the pleasant talk, real issues of ethnic hatred and conspiracy to exclude and disenfranchise Igbos in the Nigerian project is still alive and well.
Instead of always begging Hausa and Yorubas for crumbs all the time, the Igbo should reject second class citizenship imposed on them in nigeria and opt to live in her own country as free citizens.

That is why i support Biafra and if the north is ready to fight us for our freedom, then we shall slug it out. Thank god we are in a new world order. Most decent countries of the world will stay out of it. lets see how the north can win a war without massive support from the west and USSR.

Nigeria better begin to plant cassava and groundnuts for export. All this oil dream now belong to the past. Oil price will stay under $60 dollars until 2020.
