Security is key. They Southwest & south east would experience massive food shortages and skyrocketing prices begin from July due to the issue of inaccessibility to farms as a result of the devastating herdsmen issue.
The south west needs to secure it's farming areas.
The southwest can become 100% self sustaining in the next 8years if the simple steps are carried out .it's also applicable to the south east and south south even the north.
Mechanization should be key .it should not only be seen as a nice sounding phrase.
1. Domestication of manufacturing of tractors and farm implements should be seen as important as ventilators during covid. The south western states can distribute the manufacturing proceses amongst it self to provide jobs and sense of belonging. This can be implemented in other sectors. Massive sensitization and education of the people on the new drive. Encouragement of farmers by elevating them as pillars of the society.this is very important. Ensuring that a part of pride is created where a child who chooses farming is no less than a doctor.
