The point is that it can never be that bad. North Korea and Iran have been on sanctions for ages and still forging ahead. North Korea has the largest gas reserve in the world but can't sell it due to sanctions. They basically do their business with China.

Nigeria is a country with over 200m people, poor infrastructures, poor education, poor medical services, etc. We have less than $40bn in foreign reserve, yet people are still breathing and living their lives well. The country has not totally collapsed yet. Things would definitely get a bit rough for the Russians but definitely not the way you all are making it sound.

As usual, another dumb unfounded story. A country that has been manufacturing and supplying arms to different countries for God knows how long, has suddenly run out of arms in less than 2 weeks in a war. How you guys think, amazes me often.

He rated them as a third tier army and that is obviously very incorrect. They may not be as strong as Russia but definitely not as weak as he was trying to make it sound.

Blood group B rhesus D- has only 3% of the world population with that blood group. If you ever need transfusion, you can only receive from a B negative(which is rare to find) or an O negative. Only 7% of world's population has O negative blood. My point is, don't get too excited. I have same blood group by the way. Just make sure you are not short of blood always.

True. I just found out my blood type is B rhesus D negative. I used to think I was rhesus D positive. Finding donors for my blood group is extremely hard as only 3% of the world population has a B rhesus D negative blood group. My genotype is AA though.

Nairaland is filled up with dolts. When the US refused to sell arms to Nigeria in 2014 and in 2021, Nigeria had to turn to Russia for arms to fight boko haram. It's funny how people comment here. Ajaokuta steel company was constructed by the Russians and that's the largest steel mill in Nigeria. I honestly don't like commenting on most threads here cos most of the people who comment are just a bunch of ignorant folks.

Lol. I've always said this and would always say it. When I want to marry a woman, I would obviously let her know that whatever wealth I acquire in the future isn't just meant for us a family but also for strangers. So long as I am taking care of you and the family and everyone else and you do not lack anything, whatever I do with the rest of the money after saving a lot for us, should not be your headache or problem.

Lol. One thing I have found out during this short war is that while some European countries have been trying to apply diplomatic solutions to this conflict, UK and US have been largely stoking the fire and doing and saying everything to ignite and complicate the whole thing. I'm beginning to think they purposely stoked the fire of this conflict, to get at Russia and Putin especially. There's something we probably don't know yet but would eventually come out someday.

It appears most of you on this platform have comprehension issues often and it makes me not want to contribute to discussions most times. I specifically said that I understand the situation of the country and that things can be rough for people but that the manner a person responds to messages from debtors, matters a lot. The screen grab from the op clearly shows that the person owing doesn't want to pay. You should never reply to a creditor in that manner no matter what. Some of us as business owners have been in debts running into millions in the past and when the banks started requesting for their money, we could hardly sleep. How you approach an issue, matters a lot.

A man took a loan because he had problems with his main bank account. He used the loan to purchase goods, and sold them. The customer received goods, but the payment did not reach the seller on time. The sender reaches out to the loan shark (N Kash) and begs them that he might be a few or a day late. He even shares invoice of the delayed transaction, as well as the proof of payment from the customer. N Kash said OK. Only for N Kash to start threatening a few hours of the expiration day of his loan. Still, he appealed to them, shared proofs of email of complaints he sent to his bank. Despite all this, NKash still went ahead to defame him.

This is bad.

I took a loan from Branch to replace my car tyres, and my salary was delayed. There was a faceoff at my workplace, and I was caught up in the whole brouhaha that I forgot the expiration date of my loan.

When I remembered, I logged into my Branch account, and saw that my loan had become delinquent. Quickly, I sent a message to Branch, and explained my situation.

Now, that is how a lender should behave.

First, Branch never harassed me with phone calls.

Instead they did what professional lenders do: They declared my loan delinquent. If I didn't explain my situation, they may upload my stat to the loan regulatory body, which will spoil my credit rating.

I'm a businessman and there are thousands of people who have my no on their contact lists who I do not know. There are middle men who I have given my nos to, and have chatted with me on whatsapp. Despite the fact that I don't have a personal relationship with them other than the fact that they try to market my vehicles, I'd always appear on their contact lists to their creditors. Sometimes, I see the names and I'm wondering who the person is. Also, there are a few acquaintances I know, who also have my nos saved.

There's no rubbish there. Let people pay what they owe. Everyday, I get messages from different companies that people on my contact list took loans and have refused to pay. It's becoming embarrassing for me. If I don't get messages, I'd be getting calls. I know naija is hard but that doesn't mean that people should become rogues. There's a sensible way of replying someone when you are owing. The chat up there shows that person does not intend to pay and the person deserves all the embarrassment he can get.
