BoldBrainz:

And you're acting yours?

You keep downplaying the feelings of other Nigerians on nairaland by supporting the terrible and damning policies of those in government because your guardians are shielding you from the harsh realities of life out in the streets, and you feel it's okay?

At your age you have decided to be blind to the truth by making nonsense of the legitimate concerns of suffering Nigerians, simply because you don't even know how it feels like to pay something as minute as light bills. You don't know the cost of garri in the market. You don't know what it means to wake up every morning without any hope of what to eat. All you do is come on nairaland, fool around and provoke people, despite how you're in your late 20s and you think it's normal?

Stop gaslighting people! Nigerians are suffering. Stop this Asiwaju nonsense because there is no longer any humour to it. A dollar is now 1,520 naira. A crate of eggs is 4K. A carton of standard noodles is 7,500 naira. But you have no idea because you don't even know the road to the market.

Don't abuse what privileges life has accorded you! Act your age and be sensible enough to show empathy for once in your silly life!

Stop giving relevance to that ignoramus!

I can bet my scrotum she is still collecting pocket money from a parent or husband.

She gat nothing upstairs based on her antecedent on this forum.

She is the female version of that mumu Templarlandry!

Maybe, but at the end, it would have been better to vote out APC for non-performance, and see what others can do. If they mess up, we vote em out, and bring back APC. Maybe it would make them political elites sit up, maybe not. But at the end, change had to come, and bringing in tinubu was not the answer.

This is what you get when you reward failure.

APC failed and destroyed Nigeria within a short span of 8 years and Nigerians have rewarded them with another 8 years.

By the time Tinubu finish with Nigeria after 8 years, they will be deporting Nigerians from Somalia.

Others wouldn't have done better, this is the bitter truth. We are not ready for the true change, you can't go and repackage a renowned thief and turn him to an overnight messiah and expect Nigerians to support him. Like I said we are all not ready for a true change.

Keep quiet. What do you know!

Nigerians depend on items majority of which are imported because local production is not economical or viable, so they would naturally be concerned about the exchange rate. Duh.

Seems you've missed the memo. The average Nigerian is struggling with BASIC needs, before we even talk about them meeting all their needs. It's not easy to be a government defender these days, I salute your courage in continuing to do so against all odds. Kontinu. It comes around eventually.

You dey educate the dullard.

The second most religious nation on earth. They'd rather keep praying than think of a solution.

So unfortunate you can't choose your country before birth.

Life is not fair.

My brother. Religion has done so much damage to the minds and mentalities of the average Nigerian, expecially the womenfolk who love their pastors so much.

i get you. Who poor don poor. Even if he has just a child or none. We have families with one child that are still suffering in Nigeria. We have single persons that are also suffering. I believe OP is single and he's poor. I understand he's suffering from the consequences of his parents

You are talking jargons. It is easier to survive with one child than with four. I will give you evidence and statistics to support my assertions.

A poor individual should only have max of one child. Mentalities like yours are why there are generational poverties in some families.

What you are advocating for is not in the bible.

Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel is still in effect.

Don't you believe in the Bible?

show me where we have this "these are not the days of preaching and conversion but of separation" In the Bible.

I think you are misunderstanding my post and after this I will not reply you again.

Listen Christians are not foolish only the gullible are. How can your pastor tell you to use olive oil and handkerchiefs to protect yourself while using military escort, then send you to go and preach against someone’s religion for soul winning and get killed. I am a Christian but not gullible one. Bible is compilation of people’s experiences in the Bible days, that’s why you see different authors in the Bible like Mathew, mark, job, etc they recorded their experiences, revelations they receive from god according to them. So we Christians use it as a manual to learn , for me I don’t take everything written in the Bible as well as I don’t take everything man of god said some of this things are based on their ideology.
Bye

You are echoing my mindset 100%.

For me, I am more of spiritual and less religion!

Religion has destroyed the reasoning faculties of Nigerians. O ma se o

Just imagine the comments above defending the rapist pastor. Comments about temptations, framing and so on.

99.9999 of pastors in Nigeria were never called by anyone and I know that for a fact. They are there to make money and exert influe over other people.

I don't know who you are but this is the BEST comment I have read on Nairaland ever. I had this same discussion with my mother and we came to the conclusion we must incorporate our native languages into our educational institutions if we want to compete favorably with other nations. The top nations in the world do not use other people's language to instruct their citizens. Isn't it curious that we are using a foreign language to communicate amongst ourselves? Where is our identity? Our native religions? Where are our philosophers, authors, scientists etc? I have so much to say about this topic. How many Einsteins would we have produced if our children are learning in their native language? Even Einstein wrote all this papers in German, not English. But I doubt it will happen. We see our native languages as vernacular and not sophisticated enough.

That is one of the reason the Asian countries are performing better in maths than the western world.

Their language is visual and easier to count/represent numbers and do mental maths.

There are some linguistic ambiguouties when you count/depict numbers in English Language for example, there is no linguistic relationship between the number 9 and 10 on the numbering system.
None between number 19 and 20 and so on.
The way the numbers are represented in the Korean or Japanese local dialect makes it easier to understand and visualize the flow of numbers making it easier to comprehend and manipulate tgerefore are naturally good at maths.

There was a big research conducted in this regard and you can find more details in the book "outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell.

We are more than 200million people and its a shame we do not have a fully developed language system.

Swiss is about two million people and they have developed an advanced language system.
