It’s better to let a guilty person walk free than punish an innocent person for a crime they didn’t commit.

I know if the person is guilty of rape, that’s so much harder than if they are guilty of any other crime. Still an innocent person punished is much worse.
gypsey:
So one innocent victim, so what? what about the man who raped and killed another 7 years old Girl?

Jungle justice is evil. Left to me, anyone who supports it or even stands by while it happens without making an effort to see justice done the right way deserves to be thrown in jail and have the keys tossed in the river

Blakjewelry:
this is one of simple reason I don't support jungle justice. many innocent people have died this way

Are you okay at all? Did I accuse you? What kind of silly comment is this this early morning?

hammerFC:
cococandy, do u see y I said u should be careful with rape allegations.
Anyway the bigger issue here is not the false accusation (that’s very very wrong obviously) but the fact that you men will beat each other to death in the streets without following properly legal channels to judge an accused person guilty or innocent.

You’re your own major problems.
I’ve always been a staunch advocate against jungle justice no matter what they are accused of. Let the law handle it.

Women should be respected because they are human. Not because they are related to men

HabaHaba:
Hi, your analysis of men may not apply to all men, sis. Your quite right some guys are so untamed. But note that there are quite very young & immature boys on this platform who get their vibes by insulting & making fun of ladies. Every mature man must respect women because we have mothers, sister's, daughters & so forth in our lives that we cherish. We must respect those for other men.
Pls resist the temptation to join words with immaturity.

Perhaps one angle we never consider is that many fathers in these circumstances pay what’s convenient and are able to sleep at night because they not physically there to see or hear the child in need or want of something! The mum who’s physically present cannot give what’s convenient for her she has to give her ALL
Thank you.

In my opinion the person who is not there physically raising the child should pay more of (if not all) the child support. I understand that in his case they are both not making huge money. so,she did was what she thought fair. However, she wasn’t even fair to herself. Because in addition to paying half what the child needs, she’s there to give 100 percent hands on care.
Essentially she’s doing 75% of everything on her own.

I don’t understand how anyone with conscience will ask her to accept whatever he brings. That’s how low the bar has been set for fathershuh? Ridiculous

Although I agree that they can adjust their budget to suit their income. He should still bring more of whatever the final amount turns out to be.

It depends on his mindset.

If he’s one of those disgusting arrogant prigs who thinks that he can cheat without being cheated on, please don’t touch him with a foot long pole. I kid you not, those are the worst kind of men to commit your life to. A man who won’t consider you a human same as him. His feelings and pride will be more important than your wellbeing.

However if he’s the disciplined type of man who doesn’t cheat and won’t tolerate cheating, then you’re lucky in that aspect because the measure you give is the measure you will receive from him.

Also note that people will tell you what they want you to believe about themselves and their ‘bad’ exes. It the Ex that is usually at fault. If something about him tells you that he has a hard heart, trust your instinct.

OP you have spoken beautifully. It works in situations where the good examples are the majority.

But the thread you’re talking about and its likes come up only because Nigerians have REFUSED to consider women as equals with men both in the general society and in marriage. Hence the abnormal type of marriage is the norm. And in the abnormal type of marriage where one party is considered lesser and treated as such, that party had no choice but to look out for itself.

Should couples buy properties as one. Absolutely.

What happens then (as in the majority) when one party can/does contribute and buys together with the spouse but stands a good chance of losing it all because the foundational beliefs of her society deems it fit for her to be ‘thrown out’ at the whims of the other party?

Can’t address a problem without starting from the foundation.

If women feel like they can be equally regarded in the marriage decisions and properties, the need for this discussion won’t come up.

I also have a feeling that you wouldn’t be so disturbed to the point of creating a counter thread if it was men talking about how they buy properties without their wives names. (And that happens all the time.)
People seem to get more upset when women start having a say and taking their own lives into their hands:

I wonder why.

Why did he hide the information that he has been having sex with her in the thread? undecided why didn't he put it in the op? undecided

Now wonder she feels like they are moving towards marriage and feels comfortable enough to ask for a key, She is sleeping with him. Cleaning for him and they are cooking together, but op wants to act like he had no hand in this happening and he doesn't know why she is acting like this.

That's why women have little patience for these so called "nice" guys, manipulative A**holes. Users, All of them.

He is just asking what he will tell her to ensure that she keeps doing chores and sleeping with him even though he refuses to give her the key.

This one he is pretending that he and his girl have known each other for barely a month. If you check well now you'll find that they have been together for up to 6 months. undecided

Instead of her to allow him? Pray tell is she holding a gun to his head to prevent him from making his intentions clear?

No instead he’s being dubious by making her feel her actions are in line with his goals for the relationship. Can’t even be adult enough to say his mind and goals for the relationship.

Poor him. She’s throwing herself at him and forcing him to get intimate with her
Hotfreezer:
When he says he's not doing again you ladies would say men are scum.

You don’t joke with your space but you joke with your peniis. undecided

One month and you’re already having sex. What did you tell her that got her so relaxed to have sex with you in less than a month. To the point of doing your other chores for you. Some of you guys think you’re smart. You want a wife without the responsibilities and also want the freedom to sleep around. I’ll bet my shoes that’s why you don’t want her having the keys. So she won’t walk in on you with someone else.

Why not be a responsible human being and tell her the truth about how you feel concerning the relationship.
And keep your peniis in your pant if you’re so concerned about not getting serious.

Hypocrite.

Don’t care for the insolent parts of this post but there are many truths in it. OP get your shit together. Don’t accept a wife and refuse to treat her as such

zed7:
Guys are the cause of these problems, too lazy to clean up after themselves. Then as a bachelor, my house was so clean and put together, nothing for a woman to clean if she comes over. When she offer to cook I tell her not to bother. They never see any dirty laundry to offer to wash..lol.
Never make yourself indebted to a woman so that if she's not what you want you kick her out without any guilty feelings. Now that you have been eating free food and using her as a cleaner, you need peoples advice to tell you what to do. If you had your shiiit put together, you wont even think twice before telling her you ain't giving out your keys.
Romance › Re: Guys!! Is It Wise To Give Her The Spare Key To My Apartment? by cococandy(f): 3:23am On Jan 21, 2019
If you don’t want her to have access to your apartment like a wife, don’t expect and accept wifely duties from her. If she offers, tell her No.
You can’t lead her on by acting like her wifely behavior towards you is appropriate and then turn around to deny her the privileges that come with the role she is already playing.

I bet you’re probably already having sex with her. I don’t know what’s more intimate. Sex or apartment keys.

The woman gives up her authority over her own life
The whole post was phrased to sound like it was meaningful but then you read this part and it’s obviously just another misogynistic concept disguised as something good.

Why don’t you give up authority over your own life and let your wife love you instead.

Oh I forget. That’s not how ‘god’ wants it.
