Christianity Etc › Re: Is It A Sin To Give Offering And Tithe With Old Money? by CodeTemplar: 10:59am On Jan 29, 2023
Kingzy4real:
2 Corinthians 9:6
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

From the above quotation, all I have is old money. So is it a Sin if I give it as an offering??
It can never be a sin. Even the said date of January 31st hasn't been reached.
Christianity Etc › Re: All Churches Should Close Before 9am Today To Enable Members Go To The Bank by CodeTemplar: 10:56am On Jan 29, 2023
satelliteDISH:
Any Pastor, Reverend or church leaders who meant well for his members should round up church service before 9am to allow members to go and change their old naira notes in the bank. This is due to the fact that the closing date for changing of the old naira notes is 31st January, 2023.
to go and do what? Queue for nonexistent new notes on a Sunday morning?

You must a paid anti church agent.

What do you need new notes for? I deposited all my old notes in 1st bank and I've been cashless since shops in my area started rejecting old notes. Paid #500 for 3 bags of pure water through mobile transfer just now. Been doing #500 and #1000 transfers since Friday! World did not end! If shop A doesn't collect transfers. I move to shop B!

The people in the pictures below are your normal day-to-day vendors!
what about the tomato seller in market who doesn't have electronic banking? Our literacy and tech adoption level are so low, lots of people will suffer. People are rejecting old notes from their customers and cannot by from their merchant. It is crazy and needless.
Education › Re: Why Is University Students Life Like This?? by CodeTemplar: 1:40am On Jan 29, 2023
That's a core lesson boarders learn. So just show up with pocket money(hidden), toothpaste and garri. They leach on others for soap, provisions, sugar, polish, iron, even notebooks, and pen.

CBN gave 100 days , about 3 months for this exercise. The problem with Nigeria is that most people don't take implementation of government policies serious. They believe that the policy will not work, BUT now eye don clear. grin grin

If only President Buhari has been operating like this since he came into office, his government wouldn't have performed woefully like this. This last minute thrust will not have strong impact on review of his government.
People are in banks and POS units with old cash but no new notes in sight? How is that a success?

EKONGKING:
To the poster above , iam still living in India and project is successful . Indians have moved from cash based to semi cash based and they are slowly eliminating 2000 notes .
This Move along with GST (Goods and service Tax) is why India is able to spend Billions of dollars of its own money on constructing new Airports, Metros, Ports, expressways etc .
They are opening 10,000 Mw of power plants every year for past 5 year.
I expected Buhari to be like Modi but alas i am very disappointed at least Buhari is trying now.
Who wants to trust a govt that wants to give amnesty to killers and cannot name sponsors of terror?
A govt of wastage that permits huge leakages but suddenly wants to remove subsidy the masses are enjoying.
A govt that pardons the few prominent corrupt public officers.

Is that how Modi's govt rolls?

North Central is thoroughly Obidient

Parts of North East are Obidient

FCT residents are throughly Obidient

That's the summary of the February 25th, 2023 General Election.
Obidient himself will remove subsidy. That tells us he is just another one of them.

APC is uniquely incompetent. They knew the average amount of old notes in circulation but printed so little new notes and asked Nigerians to be exchanging what exist for what doesn't exist.

One clear sign of that is the disappearance of sweet potatoes as at mid-December. We simply ate all the potatoes we normally eat until May of the year after harvest by mid-December.
That sends yams, garri and rice prices up by reason of the increased demand zero supply of sweet potatoes will create.
Why won't that be the case when terrorists rebranded as bandits now collect harvest taxes?

Nigerians don't really care about campaign moves as much as perceived hardship. It was the cry of hardship APC amplified to boot out PDP and that is what can boot out APC. The sweet news for LP is that no one needs to amplify the current cry. APC is already doing it with extreme hardship and insensitive governance.

I dont because it won't. If this was its intent, it has been badly botched. Everyone seems to think that people are paid on the day

Meanwhile the tracking of bvn outflows would have been the better option. Together with the US warnings, this type of data would have been a serious deterrent to vote buying. This strategy? Has holes so big, you could drive a bullion van through it.

It has reduced kidnapping though, I give it that.

I remember I had to pack my car earlier this month and resorted to using public transports for almost about 2 weeks, Even using Bolt was a no-go area.

Until Nepal petrol station came to the rescue with 179/ltr, and I "luckily bought 100 ltr immediately. Now people sleep at the station waiting to buy even if the station may not open up that day...

I drove past there the other day and the queue was mad.

Nigeria needs Peter Obi ASAP.

God bless Nigeria.

Please guys, vote wisely this time.
