amaraedec:Some things are not permissible. One is dying for a woman be it a casual friend, girlfriend or wife. The truth about women is that they surely start cheating on you when someone, they assess is better emerges. Dying is actually not a bad thing (it's a certain end for all mortals), however, should you want to truncate your life, I'd advise you seek out people who need vital organs to survive and donate yours to them rather than using insecticides or dying of depression like you are carrying the sins of the world. |
Tompolo could be all you said, except being Jomo Gbomo. That guy can not articulate the use of English like Gbomo does. By the way, hope the FG would be preparing to negotiate with the urhobo militant group that surfaced yesterday. And most certainly, much more would be given birth to in the coming days because it doesn't cost much to breach Oil and Gas transport facilities. Don't negotiate, this ball-less FG no go hear! |
eiBADAn:Eleanor Roosevelt admonished us to learn from the mistakes of others because we cannot live long enough to make them all, ourselves. Bruv, what you put up there is a very unfortunate thing to read about the extent some guys go to prove their love in an unmarried union. Please be advised that relationships do not come with assurances of fidelity, loyalty or reciprocity. It's a gamble that could go either way, so do not stake an amount you cannot afford to lose. Having had a near similar experience, I'd advice you to desist forthwith. Robert Mugabe said: "sometimes you look back at girls you spent money on rather than send it to your Mom, and then you realise witchcraft is real!". Run............. run.............. brother, run!! |
You go fear Trade Unionism and the regulation of the professional practice of prostitution. |
IamJames:Is this post supposed to feign ignorance to the existence of a multiplicity of criminal gangs in the ND? How difficult do you think it is, to breach crude oil transport facilities that makes you assume the NDA is prominent? |
oweniwe:I actually do not wish to join issues with you, but very much deduced that you wanted the government to pursue peace by acceding to all the silly and ridiculous conditions of these proliferation of criminal gangs because it has to safeguard its cash flow to be able to pay its workforce and sustain the States. I can relate with a lot of structural defects in our polity that are being corrected by this government, and would only join sane people to ask for time. From infrastructure to the power sector, down to the petroleum sector, things are happening. So why the distraction? Responsibility, could be viewed in relative terms. Having to deal with acts of intimidation while suffering some debilitating loses, to me, is more honorable than tolerating acts of rascality. As an urhobo, I am yet to see what end this whole agitation by these criminal Ijaw gangs is aimed at achieving. For the years we've had democracy, the ND has been unfortunate to be governed by thieves, who not only stole derivation funds but also left their states with massive debt overhangs. Overall, when production grounds, and all of the ND states become burdened like Osun, Ekiti, Ondo and Bayelsa, we shall collectively hunt down these criminals and look for civil/constitutional ways for seeking redress. |
oweniwe:I do not think your analogy aptly describes our situation. The earlier we are all agreed on the fact we can't pander to the whims and caprices of some faceless band of criminals, the better for us all. Do you honestly say, cases of corruption, treason and theft being pursued should be discontinued and suspects freed because some criminals have decreed so? There should be no two ways about this: a confrontation that would eventually settle this issue. Thankfully, officers that may possibly become dissident have been eased out preparatory to the final showdown and good enough, the criminals have boasted about having adequate armaments including missile capabilities and the advantage of the terrain. So no party comes with greater advantage. Much as I do not align with the government's seeming prioritization of the fight against official graft over the economy, the states can go broke provided a clear statement is made to the effect effect that no group/association of individuals can hold us to ransom. |
Fayose should do well to spare us the sermon. Just to tell how vision less the irritant could be, all he could do with a loan of N10bn that was meant for capital projects was to do a flyover and build a market, where he could continue his stunts with ponmo cutting. Then again, it has to be said how political rulers deliberately plunge their states into debts, by issuing all manner of bonds, drawing all manners of loans which simply varnishes as soon as they are accessed. Perhaps, a legislation has to be made to compel governments at all levels, henceforth, to only seek loans which they can demonstrate a capacity to repay in the lifetime of their administration. Otherwise, they should start exploring the possibility of a Build-Own-Operate and Transfer kind of model for capital projects they can't finance. |
To think that this man hustled rofo-rofo to get re-elected, when he honestly knows he has nothing to offer, beats me. |
iyatrustee:The impression is not necessarily 'have-all' but having it better than the original parents. You won't believe that some people's only imprint n life is to sire children like it is an export commodity, without a care for any other responsibility relating to those children. |
This story sha get as e be! That the guy has been been stealing from 3 abandoned wellheads? how? he sucks the oil into a tanker and transport to his own flow station for GOW separation or he uses the existing pipelines and collects at the flow station of the Operator where his Crude is processed or he simply collects from the wellhead and transports to his tank farm where he does only gravity separation. Whatever the true position is, that guy is a don and we deserve to hear the full gist by the time investigations are concluded. |
These guys don't get, do they? Previously, I thought our Intelligence Agencies weren't working until Buhari had to dash out to London yesterday, on referral, to attend to a "persistent" ear infection. You know what? Most likely, their Intel revealed those crazies' intent to test their missiles on Aso Rock, among other targets, today. And there has to be a good reason for the boss not to be around, as it was with Ogoni. No be ear infection wey I use one green grass for my gwanMama compound treat that year? I laff in French! As you see me so, if person pass me, I no dey follow am do agidi. In the same way I am constrained to ask the FG to negotiate with these terrorists if they honestly cannot crush them! Things are not looking good for a lot of folks presently. Biko nu. |
crazymod:That is my problem exactly. ****. They assume lordship because other ethnic nationalities are not as canterkerous. It's only a matter of time before they'll have their cup running over! Meantime, EFCC should continue hunting down their moneybags who have corruption baggage; the FG should stop the Presidential Amnesty Programme because they are the sole beneficiaries and to effective curtail them, allies should be raised from other ethnic stock to totally decimate their lords, marshal and sponsors. The last suggestion may be difficult, especially disarmament after a successful operation. Long live the FRN |
donbrowser:You cannot be too sure. Perhaps the renewed attacks on oil trunklines jolted the oil majors into an hurried declaration of force majeur, right until when the strategy for continued production was perfected. Then again, if you sum, together, the combined production capacities of all offshore fields, then you would agree that that figure is likely to be true. It has to be stated that the (Sc)Avengers would need both their lives, those of their ancestors and their deities to access such locations now that they've declared war. |
chernest2002:Ogoni cleanup is just politics! First, it has to be confirmed if full funding has been secured for the process, which I doubt. Then again, why cleanup when it was their agitation that caused forced shut-ins and prevented remedial works in the first place. Today, we have an NDA that is gleefully bombing critical oil infrastructure, while living amongst people, yet one day these communities would request cleanup of their land and some other forms of compensation. Like you, there isn't a need for clean-up when causative factors are left unattended to. |
This is the only thing Fayose and I can agree on. It's sickening embarrassing that a Conmander-in-Chief could be this cowardly. Someone should tell me what moral justification he has for ordering deployment of troops of men young enough to be his children and grandchildren, when himself an old man of 73 loves life so much and is afraid to die. If I was a soldier, I would have resigned my commission yesterday because Buhari doesn't deserve longer life than I do. We all are equally born and have equal right to life. That said, nothing affirms the unstable mental state of Fayose than this release. For a governor who lacks the creativity to improve his state's IGR and almost wholly relies on the FAAC allocations, he can continue to cheer the militants on until states begin to get zero allocation. Oniranu Oshi!! |
Sweetlemon:Like you said, for some of us, this is not a good time to say we are from the Niger Delta. My problem is that the Intelligence Agencies seem to be guzzling funds for doing nothing, thus exposing the impotence of the Military. These militants now appear like ghosts while wrecking large-scale havoc. For those calling for negotiations/dialogue, hope they can see the futility of such activity considering the senselessness of some of their demands and the proliferation of such armed groups. This is war! And in war, all is fair. Government has to foreclose dialogue, end the amnesty programme, implement far-reaching reforms that would benefit the bulk of the people, step up Intelligence and go all out against these saboteurs, their hosts and sponsors. |
Lenny5k:I would have to concede that your analysis is way too much for my grasp, if it makes you feel good. Probably, emboldened by the successes of the previous activities of the NDA, one group has given ultimatum to the FG to release bodies of slain Biafra protesters. The deadline is tomorrow. Then again, another one emerged today to tell us that they would be testing their missile capabilities starting from 6th June or so, while placing all kinds of restrictions and issuing all manners of warnings, yet you want me to accept the president's decision to stay away from the commissioning as noble? God forbid! If I was the President, a very big statement would have been made today. But as it is now, it may be safe to assume that we are seeing the beginning of the end of Nigeria, if all we do is preach love. |
Slitman:I feel sorry for your type that doesn't know what leadership is. You want to be there sermonizing about love and a need to avoid carnage when the powers of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has been challenged without reply. Now that he has been demystified, just be patient to see how new splinter groups would come to challenge his authority. I guess it is only right for officers and men to be sacrificed while the President enjoys the luxury of his comfort zone. Una try well well. As for having reasoned with my 'anus', your brain would require multiple surgeries to reach the levels my 'anus' operates currently. |
Someone had to write this long piece n a bid to rationalize cowardice? This is weak! I have been seriously embittered by the showmanship of these groups, but for a C-in-C to have cowered, either because he wants peace or love his life or doesn't want to put the life of his guards in danger is totally unacceptable! Was it not reported that 50 soldiers drowned while in the trail of these saboteurs? was it not also reported that some soldiers on routine patrol were gunned down by those same militants? So what's it about leading from the front? You expect someone else's child to die securing the country when you are unwilling to stand up to a group of untrained 'generals'. And such a person would have the conscience to approve death sentences for mutinous soldiers. I truly don't care if it makes me/us come across as unintelligent, the President should have gone in the light of the threats to his safety - whether real or bluff just to pass a strong message. ...and should there be incidences, that area should be leveled. I would reiterate: the President fall my hands well well. |

bettercreature:If I had applied to study engineering when there was no PUME, it would have been a certainty than I would beat the Jamb cutoff ten times and still never study engineering. For applicants whose parents are poor, today should go down as one very sad day because many reams would be truncated by this singular pronouncement. So here's the official confirmation that we are back to pre-2006 era where admission is procured by all means except merit. who I'm papa no get money and still want go university go ready to study education, music, history, animal and environmental biology, philosophy and the likes. It is well! |
Since President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to live on his knees and tread the path only taken by cowards, why won't these groups be issuing ultimatums? I am so terribly disappointed in the president. If he has honor left in him, he should resign. |
leonbob:And it may interest you to know that the population of youths in the age bracket of 17-45yrs, in the Niger Delta would not be less than 8 million, with the reality that each one of us has the capacity to be militants. However, the bulk of those monies was spent on Ijaw militants, neglecting other tribes. Do you then advice the FG to accommodate all youths in the ND in the payments of amnesty stipends because we all are potential militants or you will advise them to keep paying the I jaw boys? Amnesty payments has got to stop because a bulk of us may be forced to tow that path if sabotage is a sure way to getting inclusion or securing a pension. Trust me, should that time come, these guys would look like learners. . |
leonbob:The truth has to be told: and it is the fact the demands of these groups are really annoying. If it is about equity, what did Jonathan and Diezani do? They empowered Yoruba men to lord over our oil and yet these idiots have a justification to demand equity? Delta State, like some other oil-producing states have an oil producing area development commission, but what do they do with the 13% derivation? They simply fill those places with ghosts; share the non is among a clique and use a part to fund charitable causes that are outside the mandates of the commission like donating buses to AIT and churches. These fools have not demanded accountability from their governors but want to hold the country to ransom. To the extent that you cannot guarantee the cessation of sabotage of oil facilities; to the extent that you cannot stop a new group of criminals from starting a fresh agitation after these set may have been settled, you simply foreclose dialogue. My position would not change. The vandals must be hunted down! The amnesty programme should be scrapped and no form of dialogue should be considered with these renegades. |
leonbob:Sometimes, I wonder how you folks can justify a call for negotiations with a group of self-serving criminals because their activities is causing a great damage to the economy. Knowing that within this very short period, we've had close to four groups coming up with impractical demands. As a Deltan, whose scholarship for undergraduate studies terminated at the end of my programme, I fail to understand what morality there is for militants to demand a life entitlement of 65k monthly, after receiving vocational/professional training. This is even more intolerable because it doesn't' require a special training to be a militant, as much as there is no 'Chartered Institute of Militants of Nigeria' to regulate entry and professional practice. Militancy is criminal and militants are criminals as well. The government shouldn't negotiate with them and should be bold enough to stop the Presidential Amnesty Programme immediately. Government should ensure adequate intelligence gathering with a view to tracking down these criminals. And if it involves levelling some communities, so be it! |
[quote author=Peterwins post=46149097 The CBN should let us know the items that are still considered as critical transactions. Transparency is required. Who and which organisations/transactions are the beneficiaries of these (N199/$) so called critical transactions.[/quote]Buhari's estacodes sure is one of such. I have never been wrong in making such guesses. Just that they won't disclose it for confirmation. |
VocalWalls:Obviously, "flesh and blood didn't reveal this to you." |
VocalWalls: |
am I supposed to be over the roof with this piece of news? Naa!!! What sense does a recovery make when an earning is wilfully frittered away through cluelessness, lack of grasp and incompetence. These people had better get to work on the economy so some of us can be spared the gory tales people are daily assailed with because a bunch of jokers are still experimenting with the limits of executive powers they achieved without preparations. |
Oh my gosh! This is criminal solidarity by a hardworking Jewish family taken to a new high. I need to know: was their 'industrious' and illustrious patriarch oblivious of his 2004 history of spinal cord injury when he was ranting and grandstanding when he was supposed to cooperate? He should die in custody because his life isn't more valuable than those of thousands of citizens that died in bomb blasts, by their design |
