This must be a death-resistant strain of the BH virus. The one I used to know has been technically degraded by Ostrich Bubu and Agbalagba Lai Mohammed. |
candygist:That's the exact reason I try not to make blind accusations and blanket condemnation. Ibori, fought all opposing forces to the ground to make his cousin governor. Not, too long after leaving power, his problems with the law start and culminated in his serving a Sentence. If Ibori could be accused of stealing soo much after huge projects like: the Ughonton-Omadino. Okpare-Olomu, Burutu bridges; the stadia in Oghara, Ughelli. Oleh (or is it Ozoro), Asaba; the establishment and take-off of the College of Physical Education Mosogar, the polytechnics at Oleh, Otefe-Oghara, Ogwashi-Uku; the Delsuth at Oghara to name a few, then you van easily explain the ineptitude /seeming imcompetenses of succeeding governments as well as rationalise why governors fight dirty to enthrone their successors. For me, the majority of those projects were executed through debt financing while the bulk of statutory allocations and IGR were mindlessly stolen leaving successors with huge debts yet a burden to perform. I quite recall the Delta State bond at the Stock Exchange that year.... Those debilitating debts drag as well are passed on to Okowa, and that's why on the face of it, no governor would match Ibori in achievements. To the issue, Uduaghan should do well to replicate the template of the Warri North magic numbers which he used to shock Deltans in the re-run against Ogboru if he wants to stand any chance against James Manager. Otherwise, he carries no electoral value sam-sam |
If i am able to resolve the issues pertaining to my defaced PVC, I sure would make all necessary sacrifices to vote Atiku. Buhari, for me, has done his bit and has been grossly abysmal. Atiku, like Buhari has made a lot a tries except that he is coming prepared for serious business and not to get a lifeline. |
Deltatoto:On his strength alone, Uduaghan could have passed as a featherweight in the election that pitted him against Ogboru, but for the twin fact that that the shared commitment from members of the PDP in various positions of advantage /authority /influence meant that they had more to lose and therefore rallied to deliver the victory for the PDP. The second fact being that the DPP could not muster the resources to deploy agents around the state, thus leaving room for fabricated results from a lotta polling units. Recall, the magical results from Warri North? Personally, my best wishes are for Ogboru's success at the polls, but quite a bunch has to be done to make that materialise and thankfully it is starting with him being the candidate of the party that controls the central government. |
Trendy247:It is not stress but horror and torture. They would even use torch to illuminate your 'abunna' for the fun of it even though the room is well lit. Good you know that slots left to be filled outside 'connections' should be like 1 in every 50 |
[quote author=Wilfredpat22 You are merely spending millions on wedding list for a woman that got disvirgined with a plate of 2 small onion chicken indomie and a boiled egg[/quote]Ah!!! Auntie pulease take it jeje with this kain harsh reality talk na. God is watching o ![]() |
I don't know if the NYSC camp at Iyana-Ipaja can now accommodate all corpers posted to Lagos, but I am aware that there was a time when Corps members came for the Orientation Exercise from home. Then again, after the exercise, you simply apply and you are given leave for 2 wks, to be wherever you fancy. In the worse case, the NYSC can only extend a Corps Member's service year if they feel he/she has acted in breach of extant laws. I say all these because I can't relate with the tag of corruption op is trying to tie to Davido. |
Eketem:The story of Sanni collecting money in her name/on her behalf, over a three-year period doesn't just make much sense. May be a case of 'giving the dog a bad name in order to hang it'. Sanni may have changed, but the one I was friends with doesn't steal! Anyways, he is a junior brother to madam, so I expect all would be amicably resolved. |
Hope is what drives men, else ratio of applicants ti job openings should scare anyone. Many years ago at the final selection interview for DSSC into the Navy at the Seamanship Training School in Onne, so it was that the fellow that came first in 1 mile run collapsed and could not continue the interview while the son of the CNS who didn't take part was the first in the list of successful applicants from Kwara State. It is what it is. God and/connections. May the young man's soul find rest. |
I honestly do not know how the 'system' works but I would like to know if the President's wife launched a pet project recently that has gone on a nationwide solicitation of funds? If yes, does such entity not have channels for receiving donations, freewill or forced? If ideally, her 'company' has an official channel for receiving funds, how then is Sani Baba-Inna being implicated? If the police force has investigated and the their findings seem to suggest that the 2.5bn was manufactured in the president's wife imagination, why continue to harass Sani? I would refrain from postulating as far as this matter is concerned, but if it is something else they should just say. |

NwanyiAwkaetiti: Unfortunately, that's how they denigrate finalists without the right links in the selection interview into the Armed Forces. They make you feel sub-human for a very long time. |
sacajawea:Not soo sure about that. It was a money battle that won the war for the highest bidder. Nonetheless, I feel happy that Ekiti's political landscape would be rid of that Fayose |
Mighty congrats to JKF and the APC. I would have been satisfied with being neutral as far as the Ekiti guber poll is concerned, especially considering JKF's non-stellar performance as a minister as well as the widespread hardship the APC is causing the greater mass of Nigerians while their kids and kith are getting nepotic placements daily. But the low that Fayose has reduced governance to makes this victory sweet for me. It beats me how a man that has both authority and responsibility to steer a state would turn himself into an activist instead and would always waste no time in castigating the central government when he has made a mockery of governance in his state. I wish Fayose well and would now be pleased to see him take on "activism" as his next job for the good of his state. |
Angy55:I tells you!! Even before getting married, I've never been favourably disposed to liquidating for weddings, however, a combination of factors changed that. But now, even my wife had been conscripted into the army of favorites for "lowkey/budget" weddings. The costs of wedding can make one suffer financial dislocation too early in marriage. I just hope people ignore the glam and simply do what what is legal and customary. |
Angy55:Well, that's you that won't allow the glam of a church wedding constitute yet a needless drain. Well, I saw/was requested to do some stuff quite similar to those in the list by an Anglican Church in Warri. Na so I cut rope follow my in-laws and bluntly told them I don't have the cheese to foot such bills. Eventually, they paid and I had my peace. These situations arise because women have tend to deify pastors and make them wield powers that appear to be more than those of parents during the wedding process. Now tell why people don't simply want to do traditional marriage and forget all these drags? |
majorgr:I think it is. Sometime in 2016, while lying on the floor close to the plug of my home theatre, which was unplugged, I got a terrible electrical shock from the plug as a result of charges distributed to my body after a lightning, in the midst of one very heavy rain like that. Need i say that that Home Theatre got permanently damaged from that incident. |
ThePianoGuy:That "sharp Warri guy" part got me. Could you confirm you were at the WRPC between June 08 & feb 09? Abolagba? Ah ah.... Kelvosgbishhhhh! |
thesicilian: . My guess is that you are not yet married. Hopefully, sometime in the near future you would and you could appreciate what responsible grown men go through. It is my prayers that all shall be well with you, however do kindly bear in mind that life is not always as smooth as portrayed in some movies. That woman, sure is a good wife! |
This manner of disruption seems infantile to me. He made a bad mistake trusting the lady with the supposed fund for "their" wedding, after sinking his funds and a productive part of his life subsidizing the girl's education. No man should allow himself to be cajoled or manipulated into making these kind of mistakes. Not a lot of men can go on and lead meaningful lives after this kind of extortion/fraud. |
No way a birth through CS could have cost 15k. Maybe 150k is what the bill was that got the guy overwhelmed |
![]() The fact that sowed it as a seed since the money wasn't enough to pay the tent is where interests me. Someone may have borrowed to make up the sum while some other would plead with the home owner to receive a part, yet she did what she did. I have to be careful to say this -as a Christian- some testimonies would make you offer more inconveniencing sacrifices /seed until you are jolted back to reality when the profit you expect from such trade doesn't materialize.Yet, sadly, you don't get a receipt nor a refund. Pray her faith brings the breakthrough she was seeking when she sowed the "seed". |
OvaSabi1: . I don't think its the best advise. What that may possibly do is to set set appropriate boundaries wherein the SIL would learn to stay away from the bedroom whenever bob's in there or needs his space. It's difficult to give a 'best' advice. I have stayed with relatives who treated me very well over a long stretch of time. One was family during my undergrad days when it made less sense to go back to hibernate with my folks in the village. The other housed me when I was job-hunting and did more than my parents to help me in that depressing phase. Therefore, I think the better thing is ask the wife to prevail on her sister to leave since it leaves him with greater financial strain. Otherwise, if the circumstances of her stay is related to finding better opportunities, he should live with that and provide what other assistance he can. |
alimaa:No one gets comfortable when unplanned expenses become a constant. I would advice you instruct your wife to issue a deadline for her to leave, and if she can't you simply ask her yourself. However, if your wife makes financial contributions to running the home, there won't be the need for my earlier suggestion. What you simply do is declare to her that she'd be responsible for upkeep of the home for as more time as her sister remains in your house. Whatever crises follows that,....just take it. |
proprince:Development shouldn't be given party colorations. Perhaps you can count on PDP to complete it now that they are out if power. Consistent with your logic, we can say "Paying Salaries" is a PDP project as well since they were in power before APC and were paying salaries as well. Do kindly purge yourself of needless hate so as not to die before your due date. |
For reasons bothering on human rights, many thieves as this have escaped the law. And quite sadly, they graduate to graver crimes and become even deadlier. You folks should have ministered jungle justice to him for the health of the society cos you just hardened a common thief by this dress rehearsal you did before helping him find a leeway through the police. |
Some Sunday in 2005 or there about, at the Church if God Mission, Praise Centre in Warri, an elderly man (in his 80's) came out to testify about how he overcame an health scare. In his opening remark, Papa told the church that Jesus/God told us to occupy till He came and didn't ask us to go and meet him, as a result he would he here alive till Jesus comes to meet him. It got me really laughing. |
. I'd have to wait and see if Osun people would take my man seriously.Ekpa!! So people dey thief 'gornmont' money because dem no get cars or house abi? This idiot should go and dance jor. |
. After being convinced that my immediate ex and the one i had mental pictures of a life with had hurt me 'irredeemably' and coupled with the fact that i couldn't justifiably explain what would make me remain single when friends, former classmates and course mates were already managing their homes, I had to marry to procreate first. Every other good reason are works-in-progress |
According to Henri Bergson, the only cure for vanity is laughter! With respect to the 'stealing' of the Mace, I think it's becoming clear where the music is playing from and who the big masquerade is. |
chuksonia:Young man, it's a well-wisher that'll advise you to find stability before contracting marriage. The wedding bills may appear big but then you may as well find friends and family that would render some assistance, but once married, you are largely on your own and please do note that the demand of balancing a home post-wedding is not beans. For a 26yr old man whose gf graduated same time as you, chances are slim that you'd be totally ready when her agitation to get settled to procreate starts. If you say yours is love, simply grow out of it however painful it would be for you. We seen; we've tasted; we've been roasted, but we are still here. .........and that is what qualifies me as an experienced older bruh. |
