Foreign AffairsRe: Ghana's Minister Sacked Over $1m Claim by collynzo2(m): 3:38pm On Nov 09, 2013
kinharold: If it was Naija/GEJ; Civil Rights Groups, APC and the other opposition parties, Human Right groups, Amnesty Int, Her Ethnic/state groups, etc including many of us here on Nairaland could have condemned the sack. As in: How will you just sack a minister based on "them say", how are you such she was the one and that it wasn't a set up. How can U just sack a minister based on a clip on Social media without investigation and a chance to fair hearing. The one-sentenced letter didnt even give any reason whatsoever.

Fighting a war (corruption) and observing the rules of engagement is the dilemma of leadership.
Thanks for this. I've read through most of the comments and you are the only one who seems to see it from my angle. Some Nigerians are very objective and analytical when it is a Nigerian issue, but when it is any thing foreign they lose all objectivity and become sentimental. If it were Jonathan, they would have asked ''why was he in a haste to sack her without investigating, what was he trying to hide''? In that same tape she also accused the president of rigging the elections and influencing the supreme courts ruling on the petition, isn't that a bigger reason to sack her? Do any of the posters blasting Jonathan because of this honestly believe he wouldn't have sacked any minister who accused him of such even though in a supposedly private discussion?
Foreign AffairsRe: Ghana's Minister Sacked Over $1m Claim by collynzo2(m):
Tapiya: This was from an unknown source and yet the government took it serious, if it was in Nigeria the minister would have claimed it was her detractors that planted it and the voice was manipulated to sound like her own, that's when people will start knowing Adobe premier can be used to distort the truth, if a news media in Lagos Ibadan expressway was on some propaganda was the evidence cooked up ?
You guys need to start analysing issues carefully before jumping to comment. Her 1 million dollar target wasn't the only thing mentioned in that tape, she also suggested that their President rigged the elections and influenced the supreme court judges (through one of his ministers) to rule the petition in favour of him. That, to me, is a far bigger issue than the 1 million dollar stuff and is the main reason why she was sacked.

Sagamite: Absolutely moronically rubbish statistics pulled from the arsse by the moronic diplomat.

Even the UK where Asians are virtually everywhere cannot claim more than 3.5m Indo-Asians.

Even African countries (like SA, Kenya and Uganda) that have a long history of Indo-Asians living in them cannot claim up more than 1m Indians.

It is Nigeria where an Indian is still seen as a rare sight of Oyinbo that has 800K Indians.

I wonder how many Indians a Lagos resident can even claim to see each day they go out. If you have 800K Indians, you will see one everyday in the major cities.

Utter rubbish!
What a gimp! The UK has a land mass equal to just that of the Niger delta part of Nigeria alone, the UK has a total population that is just one-third of that of Nigeria, yet they have close to 2 million Indians. We all know that the UK is far more economically attractive for the Indians, but the immigration policy there is also far tighter than that of Nigeria. If the UK with a much smaller land mass and total population coupled with a tighter immigration policy than those of Nigeria can boast of about 2 million Indians, how is it so far fetched to have 800 thousand Indians in Nigeria? Also saying that we have to see Indians roaming the streets everyday if there are truly 800 000 of them here is the most demented statement I've ever seen on Nairaland - and I've seen a lot!

PhenomenonVFX: Nigerians are daft. A person made a claim with no link whatsoever to back it up. Even his id reeks of mischief. Yet some people with sawdust for brains have started commenting senslessly. Thereby feeding the OP's trolling. Tommorrow they will turn around and claim they are smart.
Really shocking! See how they are ranting.......they didn't even bother reading the posts.

7% of Nairaland's traffic come from India, that is the second highest behind Nigeria. I guess a lot of the Nigerians in India are here on Nairaland.

onomeasike: A president whose children were going to school when the rest of the Nigerian schools were shut for official reasons.
A A president whose wife was busy and shamelessly collecting honorary awards in a foreign foreign university while nigeria's public universities were shut!
Can you name his children and the school they attend? Say what you know. Anyway, whatever you write here could still be applied to APC leaders and Tinubu. Remember he travelled abroad for a common knee surgery while people in the Lagos he ruled for 8 years are still dying from cholera and malaria. There are many such examples.

aariwa: the greatest thing that that would happen to nigeria will be a unity between igbos and yorubas because that is where we have the greatest minds in this country called nigeria.it is already happening in the field of play i.e iheanacho and awoniyi combination in eaglets goal scoring.
Men that combination is something else. If only we can find that kind in politics.

Yet another failure to meet set deadline by Fashola and APC. Lekki Airport is supposed to have commenced operation since last year.
I am sure we can find more of these threads, maybe someone should create a special thread to outline more of such failures.

PoliticsRe: Appeal To The Minister For Foreign Affairs: Consular Offices In The East by collynzo2(m): 8:17am On Nov 04, 2013
eye4eye: Op is a joker! With the headquarter and branch offices of kidnappers, ritualist, and rapists located in the Southeastern Nigeria, there won't be an embassy located in alaibo for another 200 years.
I don't know what some of you want. This is an idea that will help decongest Lagos and drastically reduce the number of Igbos there, isn't that what you want anymore.
By the way southwest is the headquarters of assasinations, incèst rapès, rituals and armed robberies, but that didn't stop embassies from being located there.

Most brilliant post on Nairaland ever! Please this shouldn't end on Nairaland, we should try as much as possible to make sure this letter gets to the relevent authorities. An Agenda like this one should be further pushed through the electronic media.

SLIDE waxie: [s]In igbo man's usual illogical rants:

If they like, the should join forces with the dead. The North and South West can vote for APC, but we the remaining states in the east will vote for Jonathan. Our vote alone will make him win because we own 99% of Nigeria and our population is like 70% of the whole country.

Ikemba and Achebe will turn in their graves if we vote for APC!!! Amadioha will strike thunder and...

Okay, halt!!! grin grin if both Achebe and Ikemba should turn, its because of the discomfort of the maggots eating their flesh as would every other mortal grin grin

And if thunder should strike grin grin, biliv me, maybe rain wan fall grin grin[/s]
How long did it take your intel 8080 brain to come up with this ''joke''?
PoliticsRe: APC Moves To Build Grand Coalition Of Old, Current Govs by collynzo2(m): 6:56am On Nov 04, 2013
It goes to show that APC has no vision. Populating your party with the same people you claim have failed us in the past is the height of irony. I am sure APC will also grab a failure like Theodore Orji with both hands and even flaunt him if he indicates willingness to join their party. APC is even worse than PDP
