@Kikero, I think is very possible with the modest growth and progress the country has made in Telecommunications.
It willConsiderably lower the cost of governance in Nigeria.
This Technology can be adapted to suit our peculiar nature

Hello my people, something just came across my mind, If this Judge that sentence this guy to death Can hold court proceedings via Zoom, can't we Nigerians come out in our millions after the Corona pandemic to force our leaders to go the way of Digital Technology, let every members of the Senate stay in the their region and make whatever laws they want to make, because am beginning to get worried about huge debt this country is sinking to.
Truth be told Our Leaders careless about us

I am currently in Ireland County Meath area, OP exaggerate how much that is currently being paid to people to cushion the harsh effect of the conrona virus on Businesses .I think is around 200 euro also per week, this is is to go on for the next six weeks.
No doubt Nigeria is screwed up , I Weep for my Country, how did we get it wrong?
dainformant:
My experience in Ireland so far has been trailed with mixed feelings due to the coronavirus. The country is experiencing its worst ever pandemic - with nearly 3000 confirmed cases of the virus and 54 deaths recorded. The government has ordered a lockdown for some months to curb the spread and minimize the effect of the virus in the European country.

The nationwide lockdown has left the country’s public spaces hushed and deserted amid overwhelming public support for extreme measures to control the pandemic. Dublin city and other usually bustling urban centres are now like ghost towns..

In my area in Limerick city, the vast majority of the population appear to be following appeals to stay at home except to buy food, care for vulnerable people, do work deemed essential or briefly exercise.

The government has taken a very good measure to cushion the effect of the pandemic on its residents. Residents whose jobs and businesses closed due to coronavirus are being paid 350 euro PER WEEK. Those enjoying this benefit include Nigerians and other nationalities (both students and workers) who are living in the country. Many Nigerians received their alerts today being Tuesday and were greatly overjoyed.. People are being paid to stay at home and be safe. The payment will go on for 12 weeks...that's 3 months. Just chill at home and get paid.

€350 X N420 (about N147,000) per week.
€1400 X N420 (about 588,000) per month.

Monthly rent is €325 while €50-€70 (depending on your spending capability) can go for groceries for the month. This only happens in civilized countries where the government take good care of their people.

Agriculture › Re: Pig Farmers Lets Meet Here by confluence: 2:49am On May 09, 2019
Lagbaja, what a beautiful mind you are. God bless you for the selfless task you are doing here. Please I need to talk to you about pig farming, I have learnt a lot from all the great minds here whoput up the writing. How do I contact you, the link you provided is not working
lagbaja:
I am into pig farming. Pig farming is one of the most lucrative arms of animal farming. Pigs are highly prolific, giving birth to an average of 10 piglets per farrow. Typically a pig farrows 2.5 times in a year. So in a year, a pig can give birth to about 25 piglets.

The biggest variable cost component in pig farming is feed cost. It accounts for about 70% of the total cost. Your ability to source your feed in a manner that is most cost effective is your success determinant. Typically, pigs have FCR in the range between 2 and 4 depending on the breed and on the feed formulation. FCR means feed conversion ratio. It is a measure of how much kg of feed an animal will eat to produce 1kg of live weight.

This the is formula I adopt for my pigs (Modified for Amino Acid Balancing)

50% of cassava ( I buy them Fresh, break them into chips, dry and store them)
30% pkc
10% GNC( groundnut meal) or SBM (soyabean meal)
6% blood meal
2.5%. Oyster shell/bone meal/ lime stone
0.25% lysine
0.25% methionine
0.5% salt
0.25% premix
0.03% (3g per 1kg bakers Yeast) ( probiotic)
0.1% H-Plus from Animalcare

The above feed formulation will cost you about N30 per kilo. 1kg of live pig is sold for between N280 and N300. If your pig consumes 3kg of feed to give 1 kg of meat, It means that it will cost you N90 to produce 1kg of live weight. Therefore you make a gross margin of N300 - N90= N210.

The other component of pig farming that is capital intensive is their housing. Pig housing has to be properly planed according to the number of pigs you intend to grow. You need to decide whether you want to do batch (all in all out) or continuos pig production (first in first out).

The biggest pig farm in west Africa is at oke aro , Agege. Another one is at Gberigbe Ikorodu. Accomodation costs at this locations are very high. I will advice you to site your pig pen close to where you can get cheap land and source raw materials at low price. Eg cassava plantations.

Technology application will greatly hep you in your pig farming. Fr example using, pig ni.ppl.es (see picture below) will ensure that you deliver constant and clean water to your pigs , it will also reduce labor requirements. You also need to construct a manure allay within your pig house so that when they poo poo, you can flush it away via the manure allay ( the manure allay is like a gutter).

Been a while i posted here, work and all that. I do hope we have been able to make good use of all the information we garnered here. I am particularly grateful for all those who have called constantly and happy that people have been able to start doing something.

For those who have been experiencing troubles, i believe it can only get better. We learn so that we can improve our lives. Keep trying.

I am looking at the possibility of starting a WhatsApp group to better help and effectively cater to our needs. The thought of the work involved is still scary sad sad but its possible. In the interim, keep the calls coming and i will try to help as much as i can. A training is in the works for the 3rd Quarter of the year.

Thanks for the beautiful analysis I would love to have your digits, I have been reading about your new moringa seeds from your thread, I thought of it too but I learnt cows love the leaves so am afraid fulani. people may invade my farm, would love to try some seeds here in Lokoja, I have a plot of land, though not fenced, please let me have your number
EMMAACHILE:
Dwarf hybrid Coconut is more profitable than cashew per area. The. estimated revenue per hectare is between 2.4-3m per year for at least 60 years while cashew is max 1m per hectare.
There are far more profitable trees but some have more costs (palm tree, cocoa, pawpaw) while others are almost maintenance free eg cashew, moringa, date palm, etc

If I am going for a plantation, I won't go for what my revenues will be below at least 3m per hectare per year with less labour cost.

This our Kogi na useless area. No govt incentive, herdsman wahala, expensive land and plenty people are hungry.

I am looking at in the future how to create a buyback program where I will give people my new imported moringa seeds and in turn buy back from them. These will lift a lot of people out of poverty.

I just started 10 trees in my house in a nursery and see how it goes. I am still looking for a hectare to plant about a 1000 seeds and obtain irrigation kits for the dry season. Agric looks like the best way to multiply wealth. Some of us fit move anywhere to achieve this.

Boss, I acquired it late last year, only farm maize there and cassava, maize was ok, cassava was partly destroyed by fulani. Cow, on one occasion we seized one of the cows, they ran away, farm is precisely at iseyin. There are lots of cashew farms I see around there, just thinking seriously which one should I do between cashew and coconut, land around kogi. Are just too expensive and. The cost of clearing is very expensive that is what prompted me to move west. I equally met some very young Nigerians acquiring large espanse. Of land planting cashew.I am equally open to advise on which way to go.

It's ok to buy from the secondary market through your stockbrokers and if u decide to hold to maturity then you enjoy your coupon at the initial published rate through out the term. However, because yields are generally low now, you may be buying the bond at a much higher price. If you are going to buy a bond at the secondary market, your focus should be on the yield and not the interest rate so as be guided properly

DMO on behalf of CBN has approved 2 financial advisors for the SUKUK road project. Lotus capital and FBN Merchant. You can also buy through one of the 7 placement banks among which is FBN, stanbic, zenith, unity, Jaiz, GTB and Sterling. I used Lotus capital because the banks will still have to send your forms to the financial advisors anyways. So better to deal direct.

Madas1986:
We all generate a lot of waste every day in our kitchens but for me, I do not dump it. I use it to feed my insects.”

The flies feed on any food remains from kitchen, “They like fruits waste compared to food remains such as potato peelings. They like them moist and fresh. I collect the kitchen waste for three days and put in their house.”

A single black soldier fly hatches between 300 and 600 eggs at once, noting that they multiply faster.

When the fly is ready to lay eggs, i covers the structure with a carton so that i can lay eggs in dark areas. The eggs are usually a white and brown in colour.
I then wait patiently for 4 days then they have manifest to larvae which I use to feed my chicken and fish with they like it alot I bet you within 3 month my cockerel and local chicken have grown beyond imagination for more enquire this is my contact number 08069150811
