Where did she get 85% from? Even if it's more than 85, it should be from a verifiable source.

For kidnappers to deliberately kill victims due to delayed ransome is something new and shows a level of deep anger with the system.
I believe some of the kidnappers were people frustrated by the goverment in one way or the other.
But kidnapping innocent people is just cowardice while at the same time the government should address the suffering in the land which I believe is part of the cause.

I hate to sound as if it doesn't displease to see what Israel is doing, but people should try to be balanced. In April last year, the company operating the ship that was carrying the oil, Empire Navigation, pleaded guilty to conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. The Suez Rajan transported the contraband to the United States and “incurred the significant expenses associated with the vessel’s voyage to the United States,” according to the DOJ.

Iran's oil was not stolen. The operators of the ship pleaded guilty to wrongdoing. Those involved tried to disguise the origin of the oil and sell illegally. It was why it was seized.

Anyway, they now have their vessel back.
