The worst thing you can do is bring your marriage issue onto nairaland. By the time these small, small, unmarried folks with very little marriage experience finish with it, you'll be divorced, bitter, and full of regrets.

It's more painful when it comes from a person who is suppose to love and respect you!!!
its better to let go, it will do you a lot of good. I have been told some few but can't remember, my anger no dey last and once I'm off it, its off most time.

I went to a burial last weekend in okigwe and a woman that is obviously married from her dressing approached me outside and bravely decleared her love for me,HMmmm,so she collected my number and called me at the spot and wanted me to save the number,I have no option but to save it with OTU OKIGWE,which means okigwe pussy, she has been calling since then but as an elder the days of fucking married women are behind me,let me focus on my small babes let my sin be smaller.
seriously, I like her gut but haven't seen or heard of a woman that will profess love directly like this before before, I know they mostly say it indirectly.

nice

So, don't blame women
if something is wrong is wrong, we should stop justifying what's wrong no matter the gender.

I noticed that most of the good topics that made FP today had responses full of sarcasm, jokes or plain rubbish. I noticed one or two of such threads that on the first page from beginning to the end, have at most 2 reasonable comments, others were nonsense (probably because of the way the comments were coming, People refused to give useful comments ).

Some people have stopped commenting or coming here entirely because of how toxic this place has become (with the level of depression and things that people are going through in real life) and types of comments they will be seeing.

Before now, its men vs women issues, Spreading bitterness and tribal war everywhere, now its sarcasm and distortion of all important thread.

some of us are addicted to this forum and get most major happenings around from here but if its trend is allowed to continue, it will be unfortunate as a lot of sane people will be avoiding here or refusing to pass important information/Messages here.

Please those that know those that call the shots here should please beg the mods to regulate things abit or give posters some opportunity to delete rubbish from his/her thread.

I come in peace...

About 6 years ago, right here in America, a Nigerian pastor told me that Nigerians don't commit suicide , that only Americans do. I wanted to slap this old man right there and then because suicide I had been aware of since I was just myself a child. The way I see it, many such Nigerians exists oblivious of the true nature of the suffering of others around them, this while holding, and brandishing strong opinions regarding that which they are totally ignorant of. undecided
the truth is it wasn't as rampart as now and the news of it then wants circulating like now so most people thought it wasn't happening.
Its unfortunate that it has increased, the rise in cases of prolong stress, depression, anxiety, uncertainty, hopelessness and all that have increased the rate of suicide here. it has never being this bad

Used to be more resilient? I don't particularly believe that as even during my secondary school days, I was aware of at least 5 suicide cases close to me(in my community) that were written off as spiritual attack cases, and this was decades before awareness came to Nigeria. So, instead Nigerians didn't believe suicide could happen to even one of their own so they chucked many of the deaths that resulted from it on supernatural causes. undecided

Recall we are speaking of the same people who accused sickle cell anaemia patients of being abikus. undecided
you may be right, maybe we were not hearing about it then like we are now, all thanks to social media.

There is something about NIGERIANS I need to get off my chest...

I have had the opportunity to be around Nigerians and here are somethings I have noticed about the people within this nationality

Supportive: Nigerians in my opinion are one of the most supportive nationalities within the Black Race. Their support for one another is admirable, and we witness this in their support for their Musicians, Athletes, etc which has helped to push them on international stages. I see a mentality of if you do it for one person, it benefits us all!

Boldness & Courage: You can’t take this away from them! When a Nigerian enters a space you will know they have entered! Their great confidence to possess what they believe is theirs is mind-blowing.

Humility: Now, hear me out. There is a unique trait of humility that these folks possess that would be beneficial to many. When they aspire to attain or achieve something, they have a humble, teachable spirit to acquire all the knowledge and skills needed to have it. My DMs are flooded with mainly Nigerians always wanting to learn one thing or the other. They are humble enough to recognize that they don’t know it all and fearless to ask for help. That’s the spirit!

I could go on and on and on about my dire admiration for NIGERIANS!

Coming from a Uganda , I must confess that I LOVE ALL THINGS NAIJA ✊

I wanted to use this opportunity to celebrate all the Nigerians in this space! Keep shining and setting positive examples.
thank you, most Nigerians are that good though we have some few bad eggs(though they are still good in their own ways).

I hope you will pick one to marry!

Back when I was young. It was a thing of shame and so many who took their lives didn't inform anyone. But thanks to social media and enlightenment, many now know depression is real and not associated with demons, so more people at least say goodbye before leaving. What we need next is for society to become even more enlightened in detecting and also tackling the issue that is depression. undecided
true. but then, people use to be more resilient and not giving in to it, what really changed
