The things people will do.

If you have lost the original dfrivers, you'll need to find out what chipset your mobo uses.

Try checking during the POST, if its displayed. If not, you may need to open the caase and look on the mobo itself- the chipset numbers are usually printed on there somehwere. If in doubt, just write down everything that looks like VIA 8634 or INTEL i845 or whatever that you see on the mobo and go google


eventually you'll discover your mobo's chipset. Then go download the drivers from either intel.com or www.viaarena.com for VIA chipsets. Remember you need to know the exact chipset or the drivers wont work, and most chipset drivers are 3-in-1 meaning youll be changing your IDE drivers and sound drivers as well (mileage may vary)

Yep, footwork is the word.  Sc is amazing when you watch masters at work. You have to think in three dimensions and the movements of the characters are actually important unlike tekken, where its the heading,range and speed mostly. for example you could whip your sword in a 360 arc and depending on whether it went connterclockwise or clockwise you may./may not get thye drop on a rapidly sidestepping opponent.

You say many true things- however most of them merely highlight the differences between tk and sc, rather than prove that sc is less deep than tekken. For example, the fact that okizeme (ground game) and juggles are not as precise and guaranteed to connect as tekken is integral to the game style of sc. You are oplaying a consisitent mind game , even when flyuing through the air. In sc you can direct your fall and affect the outcome of a juggle. Couple this with the ring-out aspect and you'll see the potential is vast.

sc is not combo=-based butt is still deep. For similar games, see samuraui shodown 2- nearly impossible to pull off a decent combo but no-one will claim it isnt deep.

SC is *high* in terms of technicality, The problem you (and I) are facing is no competition. The CPU does NOT play the game properly, so a copy of sc with no real competeition is a waste of plastic (hence I need to sell my copy FAST)

back in '99 when the DC was new a game house in my area opened with SC and a group of guys played it to a high level. Even then when we went online the strats were so deep and the level of skill amazing. The game is fast so, if you are not fast enough it may seem like random crazed button spamming but in reality it requires fine-grained timing and by far more positional awareness than tekken, which is all about spacing the pressing your advantage.

High level players claim the GI system is broken but I'm not good enough for that to be a problem!!!!!! You need to be a real ninja to play at that level. Make no mistake SC is a high-techical game.

Dude u seem so eager to meet people and play. Just chill out a bit ok! If u hang out on the forums and we are all cool and relaxed with each other, hooking up to play games wont really be an issue. But keep demanding for opponents like this and you wont get any! How good are you even sef. Who do you use in tekken and whats your strat. Xiaoyu will finish you

Hmmm. Maybe there's now a reason for me to actually play tekken5 on my ps2 for a change! Once i've ironed the kinks out of my unstoppable Xiaoyu, we'll face off and see who's boss!

I am about to sell my copy of xbox sc2 cos I cant find anyone to play against and the computer is totally useless (plus single[player mode is boring to tears) but if i had good opponents show up every now n then i may reconsioder (the 360 pad is crap for digital games sha so i may still fling it anyway, )

Also even though christians have been able to justify violence in the past, credibility rsted on not enjoying the violence but rather being left wioth no choice. In video games, the violence is the source of the fun.

My personal opinion is that games are good because they are harmless. Unlike slasher movies which may motivate some to go out and kill, a game actually de-motivates you from commiting whatever you commit in the game in real life. A person who plays needf for speed underground and crashes like 9 out of ten times on a hairpin bend at 120 mph is unl;ikely to do the same thing in real life, plus his need for speed is already satisfied.

As a result, you can see that a game doesnt work well as a propaganda vehicle. If you try to teach christian values through a game, they will simply not translate to real-world actions. A person may be the nicest guy on earth in your game and a total a-hole in real life- the game is seperate from real life.

A book or movie is different- those can be inspirational. Hence christian books or movies make more sense.

I mentioned MMO games because those are built around interactions with real people, and unlike other games they DO influence your real-world behaviour. A christian MMORPG is a good idea in my opinion, and a christian MMOFPS is far-fetched but possible, how you would justify shooting people as a christian is questionable though.

Personally I don't really care any which way. I just look at gameplay. If the game likes let it be about smiling mushrooms or drunken chickens or crying devils. As long as it plays well I'm on board!

lush- fighting games dont work well over the 'net. Latency kills them. DOA4 only works for an elite few and even then only those in close physical proximity (same country)- plus it is designed in such a way that allows it to forgive timing errors. STreet fighter absolutely does NOT, which is why 360 njet streetfighter is not very good.

sf and MK are not for freaks. If you don't enjoy the games don't insult the people that do. And yes, tekken 3 etc include those ridiculous moves. I said it before- the only fighting game that really manages to be realistic and playable at the same time is VF. I love tekken as well, but claiming that it is more realistic than sf is just absurd.

dude. Tekken is just as unrealistic as street fighter. Up until tekken 3 the tekken guys even jumped higher. (in fact pouncing is still pretty high)

If you want a realistic fighting game that is not crap (most realistic fighters are rubbish) try virtua fighter. There is still oje marina in that one (backflip kicks) but its not as ludicrous at tekken with its fighting bears and wall-smashing paul phoenix power punches.

Tekken even has teleporting (raven) and fireballs just like sf!

well what can i say

people who love mgs love it for the story and video/cinematics. Same reason many people like final fantasy.

i personally got bored of the whole cheesy 'secret agent international conspiracy' thing really quickly because it tried too hard to be realistic and serious but just came across to me as tacky and cumbersome, I prefer the dramatic fantasy settings of FF with unrealistic but stylised beauty everywhere but some people are offended by magic and bright colours.

So I guess its down to personal feelings.

As for the gameplay, both games suffer from overly simplistic gameplay. MGS gameplay has hardly changed from the old 8-bit NES game (download and play on an emulator to see for yourself), and FF 9 is still very similar to the 1985 NES original. So if, like me, you get bored of running about dodging the line of sight of daft computer opponentsfrom morning till night, or like others you get bored of selecting options from menus, you'll never be sold on the gameplay of either game


so its a matter of personal feeling i guess.

HDMI is useless unless you have an HDTV that supports 1080p. component is fine (in my opinion, superior, since it isnt drm-ed) for anything up to 1080i. Of course in 9ja its only the olowo's that have 1080p capable bigscreen TVs.

PC games, thats a tough one. I would go with half life 2, but there are too many high quality pc games out there.

I mentioned in my post (i hope you read it to the end) that I consider anything that lightens the skin as bleaching cream, for the sake of argument. Thats because we are not arguing based on the actual product itself (that may or may not use a destructive method to lighten the skin) but the idea of using a cream to lighten your skin at all

In short, I am lumping toning and bleaching creams together. The issue is is it ok to 'improve' our appearance by lightening our skin. If we agree that the answer is 'yes' , then we can argue about the different methods of doing so and which ones are acceptable or not.



secondly,on the issue of cutting hair:

Dead cells or not, your Hair was given to you by God. In any case whether or not the cells in a hair on your head are dead is a subject of definition. At the end of the day, God gave you hair and you are slicing it off because you want to look like denzel washington. If that is good, why shouldnt a girl lighten her skin because she wants to look like Beyonce?

actually as far as game heroes go, snake is the most overrated I think. 99% of the time that u die in mgs its cos snake just doesnt cut it. The guy is crap except during cutscenes where he becomes a superhuman!!!! depends entirely on the player!

Nope, my obsession is not light skin. I think fine people are fine, even if green skinned (Katma tui from Green lantern corps was the hotness. And she's PURPLE! ). Also many will agree with me that the new, darker skinned Eva longoria in Desperate housewives is more attractive. Ne? No big lips there, abi?

Also, Nope, the person I know will not be more attractive if she stuck to the natural skin clour for the simple fact that she became less attractive when she allowed herself to revert to it.  She was quite good at using the 'traeatment' because there was no way to know she was using it until she stopped. Its difficult to appreciate if you don't know the person. Just think of it this way: of 10 attractive lightskinned people you know, one probably bleaches and you don't know!

Finally the beard analogy DOES gel. That's because the act of shaving is unnatural, just like bleaching. you are cutting off your God-Given beard. Also the guy whos hair doesnt grow fast may use hair-grow lotion or cream. That's just teh same as bleaching.

By the way for clarification: I consider all cream-based skin lightening treatments as 'bleaching'. Apologies for any confusion that may arise as a result,
