IGBO-SON:They are talking about transparency and discipline in budget implementation. It has nothing to do with whether states borrowed money or not but how they judiciously utilized what was at their disposals..... |
I must say not said.... Don't mind my errors pls. |
I reside in Malaysia where am doing my postgraduate studies and i must said that Malaysia is one of the most peaceful places on earth to live if you are doing the right thing(am not by any means saying that the dead man did anything wrong though). Though a good percentage of the locals are racists and they hate Nigerians because of the activities of some Nigerians, its not an exaggeration to say that they are harmless as far as violence is concerned save for the gangsters who are Indians. The Indians are third class citizens in Malaysia and they have been so marginalized by Bahasa-Malaysians and Chinese-Malaysians that they only array their frustrations against Nigerians and Africans in general. We Nigerians also have our own share of the whole trouble in the sense that several of us fail to understand that there is a difference between your home and a foreign land. We constitute nuisance and many are ready to fight even at the slightest provocation not minding that anything could happen and Nigerian embassy may not even visit the scene left alone taking any action. Talking about about accident, several Nigerians have caused avoidable accidents that claimed peoples' life in Malaysia. Several Nigerians drive with reckless abandon within estates and on the street and even in campuses causing bodily harms to people and sometimes damaging facilities prompting Malaysians to look at us as uncultured people hence the average Malaysian is very careful and calm in nature .. Its true that several Malaysians are not friendly with Africans but if you concentrate on your studies or business legitimately and carefully without fooling around or looking for what is not looking for you there is a very little chance that you would be the target of any attack..... In any case, the death of Solomon was/is quite unfortunate, hence it could had been anybody.... MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE. |
a1solution: Why is the governor appointing someone to such a sensitive base on sentiment and believe she would discharge her duty without fear or favor? Some of you just open your mouths and utter anything that your faulty brains offer! What made you think the appoint was based on sentiment? |
okunboy: Nigeria Senate can only think of impeachment, if executive acts clashed with their interests to steal more money! e.g if the executive tried to slash their constituency project allocation, or when the executives tries to reduce spending on budgetary allocation on projects meant for their cronies. The list is endless. The bottom-line; DON'T TOUCH OUR MONEY; HELL WITH OTHER THINGS!!Nigerians are hypocrites.... If the national assembly start anything like that the same people crying here will turn it to ethnic war and begin to call Senators all kinds of name..... Common budgetary controversies that are normal phenomenons in every democratic govt are turned to regional wars in Nigeria..... A nation gets the kind of leadership it deserves. |
anticent: What will you not find in the north. How can a government be paying salaries to school staff for decades and claim not to know all the while. What a North!!!Stop it, ethnic bigot.... Its not about the north, rather its a problem in Nigeria as a whole.... Where were you when the federal govt said it discovered 45,000 ghost workers in the federal civil service/..... All the states in Nigeria are facing similar challenges.... Rather than politicizing or making it an ethnic issue, Gov. Aliyu should be commended at-least for that good work and that should serve as a challenge to other Governors to put up frantic efforts in getting rid of same in their various states... |
Pastor Ola: Lamido never be president him son dey carry money go Dubai ok, if him become president wetin go happen, na oil block the son go put for pocket oGEJ's wife (Patience) was into money laundry right from when he (GEJ) was a deputy governor and that didn't stop him from becoming the president...... Mind you am Lamido's fan, infact i don't like these crop of politicians but i hate it when people bring sentiment and tribalism into issues.... If the person is from their side they look away from his faults but they magnify even mere rumour that has to do with the person from other regions .... If GEJ is worthy to be President in Nigeria, then i don't know of any reason why Lamido or Ameachi or any other eligible person should be castigated for vying for that position... |
coputa: What makes lamido to think that he is qualify to rule this country..everything about this mallam smells deceit, and fraud,so the billions of naira he laundered from CBN is what makes him a good nigerian,Lamido and el rufai are two of a kindIgnoramus! You don't know the difference between Lamido Sanusi, (CBN Governor) and Sule Lamido (Jigawa State Governor),yet you want to yourself here....Go get a life.... |
God is blessing this old man with long life but he seems not to be interested hence he is looking for short-gut to meet his ancestors earlier than God planned for him. |
Nedu31: Bros. Amechi won that case because his name has already foward to PDP HQT in Abuja b4 Obj order Odili to change Amechi name,as a bargain of him (Odili) becomin a President.Let me also remind u what Tinubu said during his birthday party concernin Fashola emergence as Lagos state gov. That he (Tinubu) "singlehandled made Fashola lagos state gov." whch means there is element of manipulation. This wulu wulu is everywhere.Ok, thank you for the illumination. Now i know better.... |
taharqa: Will you SHUT that your stinking mouth there, you HYPOCRITE.You are a very big ignorant and deluded fellow yet you stupidly rushed out to defend Akapbio on issue you know nothing about all in the name of sentiment. In case you don't know, there are guidelines for primary elections, like any other election. The only difference is that primary elections are done within the party and not by the general public. The fact that Nigerian Politicians have decided to be hand-picking candidates against the choices of the people does not change the law..... In 2007, Ameachi won the gubernatorial primaries under pdp in River State but OBJ went and hand-picked Omehia are the party's flag-bearer however, the court declare Ameachi the real candidate under PDP and that was how became a Governor without his standing for election..... Now tell me, where did that law come from? |
I have never liked PDP but the opposition guys are too lousy for my liking. They are giving PDP the opportunity to frustrate them. They seem to be majoring in the minor while minoring in the major. They are going about throwing money around and making noise without doing the basic thing. How long will it take them to things as simple as logo and manifestos. They are busy forming committees upon committees and holding endless meetings without anything to show for such.. When are they going to start grass root mobilization and selling their manifestos to the greater populace that have no access to internet to know what we are talking here?.. Taking power from the ruling party is not a child's play anywhere in the world... Politics is a game so it's not a crime for your opponent pick on your lop-holes and punish you..... If these people really want to unseat PDP then they have to be more efficacious because we all know that PDP will not just fold their hands and watch them trying to take away power from them. |
harmless011: So you sincerely believe that no Igbo man have what it takes to become the president of Nigeria, i am very much sorry for your type with this ogogoro mentality.Dora Akunyili couldn't win a senatorial District and somebody is mentioning her name for Presidency.... Are you for real? |
Wily/Wily:You know nothing about the TIVS yet you boldly open that thing you call mouth to vomit nonsense. Please tell me when Sarduana massacred many TIVS and the exact place where that massacred took place. ... People like you who rejoice in other people's predicaments will certainly be consumed by such predicaments. Your life is full of hat-rates and frustration but am sure TIVS are not responsible for yourself inflicted pains.Even if all TIVS are killed by Fulanis that does not erase the fact that you are vanquish. |
The story is worst in Malaysia... In Malaysia after paying the processing fees for passport renewal online you will be asked to pay additional 200 ringgit(equivalent of 65 dollar) to another account using ATM. The embassy officials here are too disgusting. Even if you have any problem with your school, they will not be there for you rather they would for ways to aggravate the matter. |
Nigeria is a joke, a big one for that matter! Its true that 'people get the kind of leaders they deserved'.... To envisage a good leadership one must be sure of a responsible followers-hip.... Imagine a country where people think its a crime to state the blatant truth! Imagine a country where youths pour insult on a man for saying the obvious because ethnic-ism and political affiliation ...... To all GEJ supporters, the problem of Nigeria didn't start with GEJ and as GMB hasn't said so.... Our problem in Nigeria is not the fault of any individual but that does not erase the fact that our numerous problems are obvious even to the international community... This government and it's recruited followers have have zero tolerance for criticism no matter how constructive its which is too bad for our nascent democracy..... If several youths here i bet, did not even read the speech before calling for Buhari's head.... If this country will depend on this kind of youths as the leaders of tomorrow, then there is actually no tomorrow for Nigeria |
back2sender: The CV should be sacked,he has no business managing a school.Which one is the CV? |
kaylaw777: Yes his rich ,his famous ,he want people to knw him, and they av known him ,but he don't pay his workers well, they work like slave ,they pay them little, and he dash out money just to make name and suffer his workers, he cheat the workers a lot .a company of 1700 staffs no union.I work with dangote group the cement factory obajana am a senior staff there I knw wht we ar facingIf the pay is not good for you why not resign? Is somebody forcing you to stay put there? Do know what it means to be paying 1700 persons every month or have you forgotten that Dangote Group is a business venture with the major aim of making profit? |
back2sender: Its only a child given birth to in the late 80s,90s and beyond will not know the source of Dangotes wealth.Tell us pls. Though i was not born in the 80s but late 70s, i don't know any other source of Dangote's wealth than business he runs hence i like to know his other sources of income if u wouldn't mind. |
PROUD-IGBO:How much did you donate? |
Christianity is a way of life and one the major issue about Christianity is that it has to do with instructions... It's one thing to give yet it's another thing to give according to God's instructions. Tithes are not meant to be given to individuals as alms but to be paid to the Church authority... The Pastor is not God but he is God's man in the sanctuary so he decides how the tithes should be used...Every church need money to survive, and i think tithe is the major source of income of many churches ..... Follower-ship has to do with trust and loyalty and for any one to be a committed member of any church he must trust the leadership of the church to do right even with the money that comes to the church if you cannot trust and submit urself to the leadership of any church you certainly don't belong there....... If you want do alms-giving it mustn't be in church, it can be on the street or even in orphanage homes and it must not be with tithe, it can be ur whole salary or u can even sell ur house for that purpose, there is no big deal but teaching people to come to church and call out the need-dies and be giving them tithe is certain not one of God's command neither is it an acceptable way of doing good works....... I can see that many people are becoming unnecessarily obsessed about Pastors living fine as if pastors are not human beings.... In as much as i hate it when pastors make merchandise of their members for greediness yet we must accept the fact that pastors deserves good cars and even houses like other people.... If the hip-top artist and comedians that gather people to tell them practical lies and (dirty) jokes deserves good lives i feel the pastor that teaches people the way of eternal deserves more..... Many Pastors i know would definitely be doing better financially they were to follow their else-while careers. |
playcharles: I hate wen people keep saying Fashola is working... get this straight to ur head! (1) lagos was once the capital of Nigeria (i.e most of the facilities were in place for fashola to work on) (2) Lagos is one of the most recognize commercial hub in Nigeria (it can generate its own funds from tax, and other revenue) (3) In terms of size lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria ( these will hasten development in terms of construction, development and beautification, etc) so why the ranting!!! Applauds to Fashola. In other to commend is abilities Fashola should be redeploy as a governor to a state like sokoto, kebbi, gombe... atleast he can use the tax generated from herdsmen to build BRT lanes, Plant flowers ( Temperature at 99degree), build Atlantic city across the desert, one way lite train... I beg joor i dey vexGo and tell that to the birds..... Since when did they start deploying Governors from their states to other states to appraise their performances.... Even a blind knows when it rains.... Even if you write an epistle u will not be able to brainwash any reasonable Nigerian against Fashola's performances because they are glaring... Just look for something else to say. |
Hardfact: Interesting. How sure are we that Boko victims and not pepetrators will be receiving the money? Giving genuinely in a way in most certainly gets down to the needy is welcome. Yet an irony same gov Fash is back in Lagos busy destroying the homes of many thousands of the poor and needy rendering them homeless within a very short notice. Let's keep watching and we'll see what exactly it is the APC is coming up with. We neednt remind them they've got lots of work to do to secure the confidence of the ordinary Nigerian. As it stands today, APC is the only alternative we have. If we think PDP can't lead us to the promise land then we have to give APC a trial... We are the same people who speak as if we have lost faith in PDP yet we desperately try to find fault with those that are providing alternative platform for us... It's high time we understood that there is no perfect system any where in this world.... Fashola has not done too bad in Lagos even if his policies do not down well with some persons... If every Governor in Nigeria is able to perform like Fashola i think Nigeria as a whole would have been better than what it is today, more over APC is not just about Fashola or any particular individual..... It's either we give APC the benefit of doubt and see where that can lead us or we stick to PDP and stop complaining hence these are the only two options we have now except we are looking for a military government. |
u-best:Your written English is just too bad.... |
Billyonaire: 2015 is still far. One wonders why serving Governors leave their jobs to gallivant around the county just in the name of launching a new Party. Is it now a job of Governors to campaign and publicize the APC ? I think something is wrong somewhere, a party is supposed to have a working committee that goes on publicity and not pulling the Governors from their jobs, it goes a long way to show how unorganized this APC is, I cant trust my one vote in the hands of these people. 100% of them decamped from other parties cos of selfish interests, so I cant deal with people who are not predictable. Changing Parties like boxers, means changing manifestos like pants, it therefore means they dont stand for something, so whoever doesnt stand for something can fall for anything ? Should I trust my country in the hands of a people who fall for anything....Whhhhoooooosaaaaii.....Mbanu! This country belongs to Nigerians and we will always know that we will vote for the best candidate without sentiments. No one with Boko Haram lineage and sympathy should be voted for, no one with questionable source of wealth should be voted for. Your vote, is your choice. Use it wisely. So what point have you made? Who then is ur choice or who are you recommending to Nigerians now, since APC Governors are unpredictable?... Just few days a go PDP formed a Governors' forum which they said would enable the party withstand any challenge from the opposition and i didn't here you condemning it or ask the Governors to leave for a working committee and concentrate on their jobs....If we actually mean well for this country then its high time we become objective in our comments instead of bringing sentiment into everything. |
yuzedo: Chill tho, why the f*ck are we using Nigeria's money to train muthaf*ckers abroad?! And there is no veritable federal scholarship scheme in place for the truly gifted scholars o?!Obahiagbon, e don do.... |
Ganys: If Gen Buhari is not interested as speculated, I think the best Choice should be Gen Buba Marwa, the Guy is young and energetic, his achievements in lagos as Milad speak for him. What of middle-belt? |
mafioso2: why do you guyz always like to twist History?..if not for Lord Lugard Somalia would have been better than your "Northern Republic. The guy made a clear point with example and u said he twisted history without stating anything left alone making any example.... |

africanrapper: What's this nonsense about Early/Late Marriage? What's more important - the Marriage itself or the time it is contracted? Is it better to rush into Marriage with the wrong person or wait a little while to find the right person? If your father got married at 35 and could not keep his marriage then i feel that should not be blamed on early marriage because their is nothing early about a man marrying at 35 or woman marrying at 26..... Am sure if ur father had waited till 45 and ur mother 40 their marriage would still fail... Maturity is needed for any marriage to survive but you must know that 'age is no guarantee of maturity'... A good example of the fact that age is different from maturity is what u are writing about some one u called ur friend in a social net-work just becos he took 40k from u and/or u assisted him in fending for his family, such is immaturity on ur side and perhaps it was something like that, that affected ur father's marriage.... I feel People like u will still have fail marriage even if you marry at 60, becos u look like one who talks too much which is the greatest problem in marriage. |
annast: Not every woman is concerned about having her own child. I have never, ever, sat to imagine or visualize what it would be like to have my own child. I try to think about it but it is a thought that has never taken root. I honestly and sincerely don't care. Born and raised in Naija, I used to be worried and wouldn't even mention that I don't care so much about having my own kids, but now I am at a place where I say, "it's who I am, why should I try to please anybody or society?" I am in my early thrities and happily single. Most of my married friends and family members are miserable. They all married early. I am fufilled career-wise and affecting lives positively. Whenever it's time to go home, I will leave knowing that I contributed immensely towards making my world a better place. If I find a man who will make me happy along the way, and add positive values and peace to my life, sure, why not. But if not, I will never, ever marry for the sake of having children - NEVER. For now, I am so focused on making the best out of my life. If I get older I could adopt a lovely girl and make someone's life better. Otherwise, I am introverted, keep to myself most of the time and work, work, work and work. Being a person of strong faith in God helps as well. The take-home point from your comment is that u desire to marry but Mr. Right hasn't surface yet, that is understood, but trying to rubbish nobility of the institution called marriage and the blessedness of child-bearing is batty..... After all the poster did not ask you to go and commit suicide becos u aren't married rather he was saying if one is afforded the opportunity marry early it's a good thing...... Talking about being successful in ur career, if look around u will see married people that are more successful in their careers more than u think u are hence being single or married does not guaranteed anybody a successful career neither does it distract people...... I don't where you live but i know that marriage is one institution that is esteemed in all societies, beside all rational human beings (and even some animals)regardless of their status see child-bearing as a special blessing so if in ur thirties u don't think or imagine that u are suppose to have children some days then u need to examine your kind of person. |
