And what is Benue doing in that list? |
alaoeri: Hope he doesn't infest the family with cluelessness. If, i may ask, why you people GEJ so much?.... What are the sins the guy is committing that former Presidents/heads of states didn't commit?..... Lets show some respect to the highest office in the land for God's sake. |
djon78: if we sincerely want change in this country, people like fashola, oshiomole, akpabio who are the best performing governors should be those to be choosen by their respective parties as flagbearers, not people that will set us back or play ethnic/religious card. What is your guarantee that the people you mentioned will not set us back or play ethnic/religious card? |
Nigeria is a big joke...... Even Comedians look more focus and serious in their jokes than the people leading Nigeria... What Ameachi decides beg the President and pledges his loyalty will EFCC and those in the ministry of aviation still have case against him?...... |
34 YEARS ABI? |
Of course it is. They discriminate against those from the Niger Delta. Simply show up in a UK Court as a Niger Deltan and you are sure to get a more severe sentence than would have been handed to a Yoruba or Hausa Nigerian. It is the same in the USA, France and Germany too. In fact the worldwide discrimination against the Niger Delta is condemnable. @Topic. Expected outcome. Ibori has no legal ground to stand on. From the way many of you reason, i think we have a long way to go. We deserve everything we are suffering in the hands of our politicians because of our senses of judgement peasant and pedestrian. The question should be was Ibori guilty of the charges or not and Niger Delta this, yoruba that...... Do you think USA, UK and the other nations you mentioned reason like you who bring ethnicism into everything? |
That Woman should sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with hard labour.... Some women are like that when they discover that you are not the violent type they would take advantage of that and flex some useless muscles.... 'Na so one agbero girl nearly kill me for secondary school'. |
I think its high time you guys began observe some decorum in talking about peoples' private lives. For crying out loud some of the ladies mentioned here are some persons' wives and mothers. We are Africans and we know how wrong its to refer to a lady (especially one) as a prostitute. I have a feeling that this site is beginning to loose its value and purpose hence anybody could wake up and post anything and the administrator would hurriedly put it in the front page. |
ijaw citizen: Yuk !yuk! I feel like vomiting, this write up is so dry, I spinkled some holy water on it :-),',',','You rather go back to school because there is nothing educative about your garbage.... You are yet to site a single example to back up your barbarism in this modern day... All you are talking is not based on any defined theory or principle neither are the accepted norms any where in the world. You are only arguing from your unrefined mind set as it was programmed in you from time immemorial. Here am talking about change which is the only constant thing in life. Am talking about the acceptable and noble way of going about self-actualization all over the world today and you are justifying the primordial approach of doing things yet you are the one claiming education here, so if i may ask, what exactly is your definition of 'Education' how has that your education refined your life? |
obiajurum25: Dats an engagement ring bt Genevieve is too coded. She would neva talk.If she is too too coded as you want us to believe why then is she displaying the ring? |
ijaw citizen: Someone should pls educate this kid that there is nothing like "due process" in the fight for nationhood, before I decend on his stu.pidityIts not about barking or claiming age its about facts. Each time you come up with something i only see a man with inadequate information about the happening around the world but is bent on struggling to make a point. Tell us how the countries i mentioned above seceded. In your militant mind, there is nothing like due process in self determination, right?... What exactly is your point? That militancy/terrorism is the right path to thread in this age? Tommorrow, people like may some how find yourselves in leadership positions and because you cannot give what you don't have the whole would be under siege because due process does not exist in your stone age dictionary. If all people need for self-actualization is militancy why then is everybody condemning boko-haram? May by the time everybody carries arm as a means for self-actualization some of you may not live left alone talking about oil. |
ijaw citizen: This guy no just get small sense.Mr. Man, you mean i don't have even small sense at all? This goes a long way to say what your understanding of sense is... Its absolutely true that i don't have that kind of your barbaric sense that is only applicable in the stone-age. Mine kind of sense is progressive and civil and unfortunately you don't have such sense so you can see that sense means different thing to both of us. Ordinary i don't join words with archaic people like you, but to save you from the delusion of thinking that you have made a point, let me put it to you secession is not easy and at the same time it's not impossible. There is a noble way of seeking for nation-hold, though it may take time. People like you that have boko haram and militant kind of brain called due process suppression because you are not used to doing things the right way. You think United Nation should be granting nation-hold to people just at the mention of secession because you have never been taught anything like standard procedure (SP) all your life. If i may ask, how easy it's to have one state created from another state within a nation? Yet people who believe in their courses follow them patiently and within the tenet of the law until their dreams are actualized and that is the thing that barbaric people like cannot come to term with. Just for the record, in Jan, 1993, the former Czechoslovakia was dissolved into Czech Republic and Slovakia. In may 1993 Eritrea came out of Ethiopia. In June 2006, the former Yugoslavia was dissolved into in Montenegro and Serbia. In February 2008 Kosovo came out of Serbia and most recently in July 2011 South Sudan peacefully seceded from Sudan.Find out how these nation went about their agitation...... That's an assignment for you. |
noblezone: Abdul, you can check my posts in Nairaland. I go straight to the point! And what's the big deal if Nigeria splits?.... How does the populous and big for nothing Nigeria benefits the average Nigerian? What's all these hype about oil, split, Niger-delta etc all about?..... I have nothing against GEJ as a person and i personally would like to see him complete his 2 terms as allowed by the constitution but its absolutely uncivil for any human being in this 21st century to out-rightly say the peace of a entire nation depends on the political realization of one man or a people... If somebody like Kuku who i heard was an SUG President in one of the Western Universities in his days and who is relatively young and is supposed to represent the change and progressiveness that Nigerians yearn for could not only reason like this but also shamelessly voice it out to Americans in this modern world then it beats my imagination, how the educated Nigerian is different from the illiterate one? . In a civilized society Kuku would not only be cautioned by the security agents but would also be kept under a strict surveillance because people like him that had no sources of income prior to their political appointments but suddenly became billionaires over-night through embezzlement of funds and are ready to do anything to keep their lots and also amass more are security risks to the nation. The United nations' organization has a provision for self-determination of any people so if Kingsley Kuku thinks all that matters in the life of a nation is oil, why not he advise Niger-delta to seek self-determination through the appropriate quarter instead of suggesting that the entire people (Nigerians) be held to ransom because somebody has oil even when an average Nigeria could point at what point what benefit he derives from the 'almighty oil' . |
alpha conde: Rita dominic is 36 she looks 26Rita is not 36 neither does she look 26..... According to her official biography she was born in 1975 and should put her at 38 now, that's only she really declared her true age. |
What do we stand to gain from all these useless competitions and comparisons.... Nigeria and Ghana are one and we have to see ourselves so.... The white does not really know or care to know the difference between Nigeria and Ghana, all he knows is 'Negro'..... All you Nigerians and Ghanaians with very little minds and short sights need to broaden your minds and begin to see the larger picture of Africa becoming the next world economic power just as its happening in Asia now instead limiting yourselves to that local and infinitesimal Nigeria/Ghana tussle. |
confusion247: If only funlani herdsmen will not strike and end this guy's dreams in one night.Real CONFUSION ! |
Okija_juju: Beware of Gossip journalism..You mean the President and Prime-minister? |
I like Buhari as a person but i sincerely feel he is pushing this ambition of becoming the President too far. Am beginning to think that Buhari has the notion that he is the only Nigerian that has what it takes to save the country from the present situation which is not true. Its true that GEJ is not all we expect of a Nigerian President yet its unfair to say that he has failed.... For the sake of Nigeria why not all the former presidents/heads of state drop their personal issues and rally around GEJ with their wealth of experiences and make succeed instead of distracting for their personal gains? The problem of Nigeria is not just GEJ or any individual but institutional intricacies and complications and to solve such fundamental mental problems the president needs the support of every Nigerian especially the 'big guns'. Buhari or any other person would still not do much as the president under the same situation, Buhari may be a strong leader but we must not forget that ruling as a military dictator is not the same as presiding over a democratic state and within the tenet of the constitution. what Africa (Nigeria) need is not a strong leader ( like Buhari, OBJ, IBB, etc) but a strong and working institution and system.... |
Monimatic: LIAR Mohammed again. Is this suppose to be a comment or an article.... Just asking. |
The police commissioner talked as if he knows something about the attack... Its too early to conclude that there were was not attack on the man's life.... This is the same would refuse to make detail comments on such cases claiming to be investigating the matter how comes is the PC in haste to rubbish the man's in less than a week? |
iykak47: Okonjo Iweala is not Elrufai or Lai Muhammed, she is a serving minister, still some people who swear with Amadioha and Sango never to say anything good about GEJ government expected the woman to criticize(disgrace) the government she serves on CNN over Alamieyeseigha's pardon, despite that they know such controversial issue is not within her jurisdiction. With due respect, i like to say that Ngozi does not need be SA to the President to be able answer that question on Alamieye's pardon... The last time i checked she was the coordinating minister for economy.... I need to tell you that economic and political policies(decisions) are interwoven and as far as i know there is no dichotomy in the government. Nobody expected her to criticize govt policies on CNN but avoiding a very clear question and playing to the gallery only tells of a set of people lack sincerity and who only think protecting the positions in govt at the expense of the masses....In a responsible society, a big players Ngozi should be ready to take responsibilities for for every govt action or resign. |
I have gone through the interview several times and frankly speaking i didn't see anything special apart from the unnecessary comparison in it .... I didn't see any uncommon display of intelligence and diction as i expected of know. ... Her responses lack articulation or unification and focus. I mean there were no clear-cut points in her answers as she was unable to drive home any particular point.... Let me not say that the woman is an overrated personality but suffice it is to say that i expected something more from her. |
ichidodo: learn to read in between lines bro, what kind of a guy would take more than 50percent of his networth to finance a highly volatile venture? And how is that your headache? |
ckkris: In 1965, when Tivs rioted against the misrule of Northern Premier, Ahmadu Bello, he instructed Major Chris Anuforo, Commander JTF, to shoot to kill the rioters. Major Anuforo refused, insisting, according to their training, that he takes orders only from the Prime Minister through the GOC. The major was promptly redeployed, and that was one of the reasons he and other majors overthrew that Govt. Then war started. These very Tivs then joined forces to massacre Major Anuforo and his people. Will anyone Ibo rise to their defence again? This is one of the reasons THEY don't allow discussions of the Civil War. But will any Ibo speak up again for the Middle Belt? They must bear their Fulani cross. And the Fulani are relentless. Long liveYou are talking thrash.... I don't know of any Middle-beltan calling for any support Ibo. Ibos are not able to fight their own fight left alone fighting for middle-beltans. At-least the middle beltans are protesting the killing of their people by hausa/fulani but if i may ask, when last did Ibos protest the wanton killing of their people by the same hausa/fulanis?... After the massacre of Ibos in Kano recently, instead of protesting or asking their people to relocate the national Chairman of Ohanaze went in company of some traditional leaders to pay homage to their slave masters (hausa/fulanis) and declared their support for amnesty..... Ibos only protest the killing of their people on the pages of news papers and behind their computers but middle beltans do their protest on federal roads with sticks and matchets..... I takes several trucks of heavily armed soldiers to calm protesters from the middle belts but its takes just ghana must-go not only to calm eastern protesters but to also rescind their initial claims ..... So dude, you can now see that ibos are they least qualified to speak or fight for the middle-beltans |
Mr. Don Okereke, if actually you are a security analyst then you are a very bad one... You only succeeded in speaking grammar, i mean the kind that Patrick Obahiagbon speaks, without actually analyzing the security problem in the north left alone prescribing any solution outside amnesty you are criticizing . Security problems are too real and practical and grammars cannot solve them.... Am not from the core north neither am i a muslin but suffice its to say that amnesty is the only realistic solution to the wanton killing going on in the north at-least for now... Boko haram menace did not start this year or even last year, it has been there and the security chiefs you are talking about have not been able to discontinue the killing in the north... Are you advising the govt to keep on watching while souls perish in the north? If GEJ he would not grant amnesty to boko haram and later rescind his words then its likely that he has realized that granting amnesty in this case is a more realistic than the use of force and you we need not blame him for wanting the best for the people. From whatever angle we see it the far is still part of Nigeria and the people dying there everyday are Nigerians and their safety should the uppermost priority here and not anybody's ego or politics and ethnic-ism of comparing the case in the north with that of Niger-delta. One thing i know in life is that if you say a particular policy or decision is not good you should be able to come up with a better alternative. If we say amnesty is not good lets suggest something better, but quite unfortunate the people kicking against amnesty for boko haram are yet to come up with something else... All we hear people saying is that the govt use force against them, and if i may ask, has the govt not been using force? Hasn't the president declare state of emergency in several parts of the north? Is JTF not everywhere in the affected state and have on several occasions announced how they killed hundreds of boko haram members? But, has the killing stop? Everyday people die in their hundreds in the north and these are not only northerners, they are from different tribes in the country and others are foreign nationals and none of us is doing anything about it except the usual ranting and calling of names. Today the federal govt is trying to take a more pragmatic and realistic step toward solving the problem and somebody who does know the ordeal of innocent Nigerians in the north or what the security agents are facing over there will just sit in the comfort of his room behind computer and be writing grammar..... People that really know the repercussion of 'war' know that no price his too much to pay for peace. |
My own take on this issue is that mentally challenged people will not enter into the kingdom of God.... The word of God is clear "Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life" (Rev. 21:27). God is not going to judge any man based on what influences his action but by the action itself. "..... and they were judged every man according to their works"( Rev. 20:13). People are been influenced by different things to different things today but matters to God is not what influenced them but what they actually did, because would put into consideration the forces that influence peoples' actions then almost everybody will have one excuse or the other but quite unfortunate the bible says man is without excuse (Rom. 1:20). Two major powers seek control of every man's life, that's the power of God and the power of the devil. The mentally challenged man is unfortunate to have been possessed by the devil but that does-not changed the word of God that nothing impure shall enter into the kingdom of God... The case of the mentally challenged is not too different from that of a lady that is possess by the spirit of promiscuity, such a lady behave like that because a force strong than her is compelling to do so, against her original wish, yet she is not justified. All we need to as people is to stay close to God and be prayerful, and also resist every deed that will grant the devil access into our lives because , off-course, devil is actually looking for whom to devour (1 Peter 5: . We must also pray for the deliverance of the mentally challenged that they might be loosed from the shackle of the devil |
brownlord: Massob and opc what are you waiting for, i just love this, imagine boko from the north, niger delta resume in south, massob attacking from east, and the weakly opc from the other endOnly fools and brainless animals like you rejoice over the wanton killing of innocent souls in their father land.... “What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met.”( David Levithan).... By the time Massob and OPC join as its your prayer may you fall victim of their attacks and may no one mourn you....FOOOOOL |
Why are they recovering only Abacha's loot all the time?... What happens to IBB's loots, OBJ's loots, Abubakars's loots etc? Are they saying that Abacha was the only one that looted money? |
Granting Amnesty to Boko haram may not be the right thing to do at this moment but i do not see how its a betrayal of the igbos.. What they talking about here a larger picture/interest of Nigeria as a nation which is made up of more than 250 ethnic groups that have suffered directly or indirectly due to the activities of boko haram plus the foreign nationals that have suffered lost of lives and properties and what somebody is talking about here how GEJ betrayed igbos... Several times, some igbo guys talks as if is the whole world revolves around them or that everything in Nigeria is about igbos which is not true.... If granting Amnesty to Boko haram is a sin, then that sin is against Nigerians as a whole and not against igbos as a people..... Again granting Amnesty may not be a very popular move but if it can stop the daily killing of Nigerians then its not entirely wrong after all with all the security votes, our security agents are yet to convince us that they have what it takes to bring this menace to an end in the neatrest future, moreover, no price is too much to pay for peace. |
If presidency is turn by turn, then its the turn of middle-belt(north central) to produce the next president... This democratic dispensation started with OBJ from the south-west after which power went to Yar'dua from north-west, then GEJ from south-south came to power. If its a matter of equation then power should move to the middle(belt), only after then it could be logical to say that its the turn of the easterners... Then from south-east power have to finally to move to north-east,and after that we would start all over again from the south-west....Someone cannot be talking about fairness or as far as presidency is concerned and still be saying that after GEJ from south-south might have stayed in aso rock for 5 if not 9 years then his brother from south east should take over from him, how logical is that? Having said that, i like to say that i have nothing against an ibo man becoming the president but on the ground of any equity, (hence there is no impartiality anywhere as far the presidency is concerned since the returned to democracy in 1999 till date) but on the ground that anything competent Nigerian can be president, so if that competent person is from the east so be it. |
It beats my imagination the level of bigotry Nigeria has degenerated into in this 21st century... Ethnic-ism and bigotry have taken the better of us and sometimes we only hide under different excuses to discredit others or criticize any thing that happen around them.Does oil exploration in the north stop other sectors of the economy from functioning? Who told us that federal govt cannot invest in agriculture and at the same time do oil exploration in the north? Can't remember hearing the federal govt saying it is diverting funds meant for agriculture to oil exploration or is there no specified budget for agricultural development?..... If the federal govt were to invest same amount or even to explore oil in other part of the south would we be saying the same thing? Some oil experts and Geologists have suddenly emerged as authorities in oil exploration via nairaland and are authoritatively ruling out any possibility of oil(commercial quantity) in the north without specifying the rationale behind their claim... What even matter to some persons in all these is that the money will go into the hand of boko haram sponsors or others think GEJ is only pacifying the north. Why can't people get rid of bigotry and sentiment and try to see things in the light of what the really are? |
. We must also pray for the deliverance of the mentally challenged that they might be loosed from the shackle of the devil
