yehmi01: The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) back in February 2014, signed into law a private bill, which outlawed smoking in public places in the state.Chai!!! Na wa for this man. He copies almost everything from the Western world without filtering anything yet Nigerians call him progressive. Some while back, I heard that he created a law to ban teachers from flogging kids in school and I was really surprised. He doesn't seem to encourage rigorous debate and feedback from the people he governs, he just passes any law he feels like without really trying to gauge it's impact on its citizenry (at least that's my perception). |
donnypool: they should try the drug in guinea or her brothers lib and serre, they have the worst outbreak. We are managing ours very well. nano and zmapp can relax till we come up with oursWhat?? Come up with ours?? Are you serious? Do you know how much money you have to spend to come up with a drug like that? Uhn? Do you know the kind of financial and human commitment you would have to undertake? I didn't think you did, cos if you do, you won't have posted this. |
Na wa o.

dmcdad: And you think it's that easy to drop all those when you get married? It doesn't work that way. If you can't start it now, don't think you will be able to start it then, or hold up to being faithful.Excellent post! Some people think that they can just turn it on or off when they are ready. What a naive notion.
|
Excellent post. |
Praisegirl: after marriage, age is not a criteria to start commiting sin.whether you are 18 or 30 fornication is fornication,Run From Sin.Hey, can you see the picture i posted or is it not showing? |
Nawa for this topic o. |
xp17: why all these brouhahas about friend zone shitty? personally, I don't see any problem with it though. too bad we now live in a me! me!! me!!! world, where everyone need something for nothing or something for something. My friend, you are soooooo on point. It's just plain selfishness mayne. People need to understand that not everybody you meet in life is for dating. It doesn't matter whether they are attracted to you or you are attracted to them, not everybody you meet is who you are supposed to be with. Some people just need to grow up and realize that it's not all about you or that the world does not revolve around them.

mozilla, hope you guys resolved your issues? |
Ksslib: 4. Eating while walking on a busy road. Even we guys sometimes find it somehow to eat while walking on a busy road save for when the hunger is threatening to send us into ghostmode, still at that there's this swagga we associate it withWhat kind of nonsense is this?? Man, the way Nigerians think at times ehn? |

temigracie: marrying the wrong man....marryins someone who doesnt love me and my kids....aldo,i knw noone s perfect..i dont expect a perfect man...but i blive God will perfect all our imperfections....Just be careful who you let into your life o.
|
What?? Please don't do it. Save yourself for marriage.
|
@op Just be careful about the people you meet.

carefreewannabe: Thank you but I will continue getting angry when people proudly expose their ignorance. Ignorance is dangerous. Stupidity kills. Don't blame me, I have good intentions.carefree, I love that video on your profile. It reminds me of this Gatorade commercial i saw some years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URVYgTbbryE |
safarigirl: if you know the amount of people in America that are into movie production, you won't ask me that unforgivably d.umb question. Is this your rebuttal? what a poor one. Instead of addressing my points, you go on a tangent and resort to personally attacking me (typical of Nigerians). You people just seem to find it hard at times to have civil discourse because you have to resort to insults and shouting people down in other to win arguements. I am done with this. |
safarigirl: have you watched Uche Jombo's Damaged: The trilogy?Hahaha, what a flawed and biased argument? You cherry pick from a very small sample size what in your Opinion are the best nollywood movies movies and you want to use that to say that Nollywood is really good. Typical of naija people in an argument, they try to use outliers to win arguments by pretending that they are the norm. Stop pretending that those so called "Aba movies" or "Africa Magic" are not the norm or try to sweep them under the rug. It's like saying that Nigeria is a rich country based on some of the few elites who show off their wealth and live in opulence. Also, to continue to show you how poor and very one sided your arguement is, you said you were tired of Hollywood recycling the same thing over and again (oh, the irony) then you go on to mention the different movies as examples. Well, lady, those are what you call genres so they are going to have similar themes. In case you didn't know what a genre was, let me give you an example of the types of genres, there is romance, science fiction, horror, Action and under this genres you have other sub genres like the war movies, epic movies, romantic comedies, the spy genres, super hero genre etc. So you have all this varieties to chose from as opposed to your nollywood movies where there is very little variation. A Nollywood fan should be the last person criticizing other people for lack of originality. |
ohwell: I went to school in Tampa, FL and we used to go to Miami and Orlando all the time. You would love Miami if u like d sun, beautiful palms, lakes and the ocean/beaches. And yea miami is also known for beautiful women too hahaha. Florida is cheaper to live in general, compared to DC, but I think d salaries r less too compared to DC so u would have to see for urself. Guess check apartmentguide/realtors to see housing cost and d rest is pretty much d same nationwide.I heard that things are expensive there and that the overall experience is overrated. Is it true? |
This should be moved to the frontpage. |
So, how is the place? Is it as cool as people say it is or super expensive? |
Sehindemi: On a very serious note,@all single working class guys, wat'z y'all still doing unmarried?? Una truly get mission!!!My goodness!! the way Nigerians think, its sooooooooo frustrating and irritating at times. Must everybody conform to your standards and expectations? So what if he doesn't intend to marry, is that anybody's business? Na wa o. What a lack of professionalism in that posters work place. Absolutely awful. |
temigracie: ...@op....u sed u r workn...d salary s okay...mayb u shud strt devoting ur tym in finding a good wife....atleast it ll end ur frustratn...What?? why do a lot of Nigerians think like this?? na wa o. |
Olazy239: me too i will never 4get nigeria emenike first goal against france dat was ruled out,we would av win dat macth if it was givinWhat?? You do know that Nigeria would probably not have made it out of the group stage had Dzeko's goal being allowed to stand? |
Tantidora: yeaAre you serious?? Please tell me you are joking right? |
arsetalks: Most sensible thing is for CAF to reschedule the game and compel Nigeria to play on a neutral ground. It is not our fault that we have the deadly disease in this country ( well partially our fault when you consider how much time we had to take action ) but neither is it Lesotho's fault as well. We will beat them but let's do it fair.Wow!!!! A common sense post on nairaland? |
okotv: puma would be a better choice or better still gucci, just check out Italy. The only local we can employ would be JomaWhat?? Since when did Gucci get involved in sports apparel design and merchandising? Chai!!! Naija people sef? Really? Gucci?? Hahahahaha |
NSNA: FIFA should realise this is Nigeria and not some small African Nation that they can walk over.Since when did Glo get it into apparel design and merchandising? Uhn? Aren't they into telecoms? Chai! Naija people sha? |
dustydee: @OP, Your topic reads "terminate" while the story reads "decision not to renew the current contract". Please kindly change the topic to reflect the true situation. You dey mind nairalanders and their sensationalism? |
MissMeiya: FG shouldn't be paying NFF either. Are you kidding me? You do know that Nigeria is a poor country right and that the FA cannot afford to raise enough money to be an entity independent of the Sports ministry? Please don't look at Nigeria from a European point of view. Different parameters amigo. There is a reason why we are a "top down" country, decision making is centralized for a reason. |
BodyKiss: Hahahahaha, it's good to dream. But with what structure are you gonna dominate football? No mind dem jare. U even try self to respond that stunningly delusional post. Do they even understand the massive undertaking infrastructure and money wise that Germany had to undertake before they could win the World Cup, talk less of a country like Nigeria. |
Front page pleeeeeeeeeeeeease. |
