All this SEC boys sha, una too dey make mouth jare, your conference is just too overhyped. By the way, who invited Texas to this blog? I thought this was between LSU and Florida. Also, in case anyone was wondering, na Alabama and USC wey go play for the national championship (i know both have freshmen as starters. Now having said that, i still would not count out the boys from Norman yet. I know they have a new O-line and thus they might not make it past our conference (boy i would love to see those boys from Texas sack sam bradford; heck everybody in our conference would blitz the poor boyfor all he is worth). |
what is this bolu's last name? is it fawole. By the way, you sabi any boy from zimbabwe wey get dread locks and him name na alex? Bring the game on!!!1You guys are not going to do much, you lost percy harvin. By the way, i even like football pass soccer sef. Also, thanks for beating our rival in the national championship game last year. |
Hurraaaaaaaaaaay!! Nigeria should be rejoicing that it is not the most corrupt country in the world but now the 121st least corrupt country in the world ha ha, that is almost like being in the bottom 30% in your class. |
oh boy, hillary got maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Man do i feel sorry for hillary clinton, first of all, she loses in the primaries to a guy with barely any experience whatsoever and instead of being picked for the vice presidency, she had to settle for secetary of state. Now you have a guy who doesn't know how to remove his foot from his mouth as vice president, while she on the other hand is stuck touring smelly, unhygienic third world countries in Africa instead of being a policy maker in washington. Sooooooooooooooo sad. To top it off, you now have some woman from a miserable third world country that is begging for aid disregarding her as secetary of state. Man, her job must be terrible.

FL Gators, I go see how una go play this season when Tennessee or Alabama comes to town, them go whoop una, remember what Ole Miss did to you guys last year? By the way, do you know some naija girl called busola at your school. |
They aren't allowed to. Women are not permitted to have a mind of their own in their culture. From reading this stupid post, i would conclud that it is obvious that you are not Nigerian and have never been to Nigeria. So i wouldn't even bother to respond to your useless jibe. |
I have never been a fan of Nigerian journalism but this one takes the cake. I can't believe this got past an editor. What a shame that we have a bunch of wanna be American's write for a national syndicated newspaper. Geez, i guess they must hire anybody nowadays. I don't blame them sha, i blame the educational system. |
ha ha ha ha, this topic is funny. |
make them confiscate all our trophies jare. |
Win ke!!For where?? this time they don't have the avenue to cheat by bringing overraged players. |
If Obafemi played in the EPL, he would be among the top-scorers every season because he's as fast as any player out there. It seems the only thing required to play in England is speed and strength( things Martins has in abundance).pie1elect where have you been the past 3 years? Obafemi was in Newcastle and he was average at best. The only thing i think he has going for him is his athleticism. On the other hand, during his prime; in the early 2000's, Julius Agahowa was one of the greatest strikers Nigeria had. The guy was just lethal, confident and incredibly quick. Rashidi Yekini never even had the same physical gifts that Agha-wonder had. |
Omo, the unions in naija are too powerful, they can cripple the nation. Look at the labour union and NUT. In yanki, in some states, unions are declared illegal. |
It was put to me recently that in any relationship, there is always one person who is ultimately dominant. This goes against everything I believe. But since I have an obligation to myself to continually learn and question, I decided to throw this question out to all you nairalanders in order to get other perspectives.and we wonder why 60% of marriages in America end in divorce. Look, you can't have two CEO's in a company, two captains in a boat, two presidents in a country or two generals in an army somebody has to be in charge or else it would end up in disaster. |
poster If only the poster knew how extremely hard phelp's trained and how incredibly dedicated he is to his craft, he wouldn't be talking nonsense. |
eya, o ma se o. like someone just said. This is what you get for selling your best players. |
sexyback, i am just like that. |
We need to start laws that stops all this nonsense. It is practiced all over naija. Where is the house and the senate when you need them? |
THIS IS CALLED CONFLICT OF INTEREST PEOPLE!!!!!!! THIS IS LIKE ALLOWING THE WOLVES TO WATCH OVER THE SHEEP. NORMALLY, I DON'T USUALLY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CONVERTING A POACHER INTO A GAMESKEEPER BUT GEEZ, DANGOTE SHOULD HAVE SOLD ALL HIS SHARES AND OWNERSHIP IN HIS COMPANY BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO TAKE OVER THE NSE, THE MAN WOULD JUST CORNER THE MARKET ON BEHALF OF HIS COMPANY. When Joseph Kennedy (the father of John Kennedy) was put in charge of the newly created securities and exchange commission (SEC) he had already left wall street by then. Even though he made a majority of his money in the stock market in what would be called unethical practices today his expertise was needed on how to stop people from doing the same "unethical" things he did in the market. Nigeria should have a board of goverment ethics that screens any potential government employee so as to avoid this nonsense. |
@poster That was a great and inspiring story may God continue to bless you for having the conviction to stick to your principles and for not caving in. Amen. Don't worry ehn, the bible says that when there is a casting down, we shall say there is a lifting up. Your story reminds me of Joseph and how he overcame the temptation to sleep with Potiphar's wife. If he had caved in then he would have lost his future inheritance. |
Boy, this is soooooooooo embarassing. |
ha ha ha

Ibra scores incredible goals, more gifted and intelligent.WHAT?!?!? Abi na the same thing we dey watch. |
You will notice Nigerians could be loud at times. Please do not mistake this for aggression. It is simply a manner they are accustomed to in expressing themselves.ha ha ha, chai, my naija people we too loud, that's what makes us fun. |
What the company did was right. What if the guy had been killed in the attempt. When somebody has a gun YOU DO AS HE SAYS. Leave the hero stuff to Jackie Chan. Now having said that i would have suspended him and not fired him. |
Love has more to do with will than feeling. You can will yourself to love someone. You might not be attracted to them physically but you can still will yourself to love them. |
Good to see my naija people proud of there names not giving themselves names like tracy, becky or jennifer. hotteju by the way, hotteju, your nick name perfectly describes you. ibkaye is cool too. |
@poster NO thanks, i would kindly pass on that one. |
hauwa what is msg? mono sodium glutamate? (the ingredient of Aji-no-moto that causes cancer) or do you mean something else. |
playah p Someone once said that when one is chasing a monster, they should themselves watch out so that they themselves do not become monsters. Because Boko Haram have evil motives does not mean that we should stoop low to be like them. |
I would use this post as a reference to other posts claiming we are not celebrating good news.Is it not deceit celebrating pure lies,is it not stupid for example to believe that Nigerian universities are the best in Africa,or that Nigerian government is the 21st most transparent government in the world, thats exactly what this rating is like or even worse, whatever criteria was used is crap, sheer crap, and dont be decieved, shine your eyes.If u know football you would understand that leagues in North Africa, south africa,Ghana are far much better than Nigerian league,if u must know the best Nigerian league players are trooping to Sudan a country that has been ravaged by war foe decades, thats tells the decay in our league.Isf we must celebrate good news, such news need to be true,as its better to be a realist than to live in a fool's paradise. The truth is this it may be bitter but its the truth,Nigerian league is one of the worst in the whole world.Thank you o jare. Nigerians in there desperation to just hear good news about the country want to believe anything. What a shame that a lot of Nigerians are still in denial. |
Imo state http://www.imostate.gov.ng/education.php?PHPSESSID=33927bc1d4befff5b301d613fdfcbbe5ha ha, now i see what the problem of Nigeria's educational system is?? It is the govt running too many schools. This has diluted the quality of education in the country. The govt. should hand those schools to the churches or missionaries who built them or hand them over to the private sector or the local communities. Having the govt run so many schools leads to very substandard education with poor quality teachers and facilities. Problems in Nigeria's educational sector started in the 70's when the govt decided to seize control of our schools from the missionaries and the communities. In the 80's they neglected education altogether. This is why our schools can't compete with the Asian or Western schools. This all sums up Nigeria's problems, the govt trying to do everything. They are involved in power and energy, they are involved in telecoms, water, transportation, mass media (NTA), radio and even sports sef. No wonder nothing ever works in that country. This is one of the reasons that Nigerians don't have constant electricity. Its because the govt insists on having a centralized energy generating company (NEPA abi PHCN dem they call am) instead of living it to the private sector and the states to generate power for themselves. Nigerians always love to blame all there problems on corruption, they forget that corruption is just part of the problem and not the only problem. The biggest problem is that majority of the projects that the govt. has launched have not worked or have been abysmal (e.g Tinapa). This is what happens when you have the govt. involved in things it should have no business in. The great Ronald Reagan once said that government is not the solution but government is the problem. This simply means that less government is best. |
