Christianity Etc › Re: Why I Stopped Attending Church. by dawnomike(m): 10:49am On Jun 27, 2023
Storypot:
I rode with my pastor & his family in his car one Sunday like that.. Omo naso one marywa guy drive nonsense almost denting his sweet 07 muscle Camry sport white that trodded gleefully along the asphalt... Thankfully there was no dent as Pastor saw the tricycle in time and swerved away from the impending/prospective situation. I was taken aback when my pastor shouted after rolling down his side mirror "Oloroburuku ni e Sha" (you are an unfortunate fellow) the tricycle guy replied back "Ogun fe pa e Sha" (it's like Ogun want to kill you Sha) pastor blurted out again "Koni ragba fun awon to ni e" (it won't be better for those that gave birth to you) but the tricycle guy just didn't respond to that one as he sped off with his team of passengers. Then pastor's wife now told Pastor to calm down in this manner "Daddy wa otito, mi o rope won to owo Tor Oloroburuku yen" (I dont think money was used to upbring that unfortunate fellow).

Then suddenly there was dead silence in the car.. so in the heat of the moment, they forgot tat a church member rode with them.. we got to church and I went back home. Every Sunday I say our lords prayer and that's it.
Well, that was a very unfortunate incident!
But have you sat down to ask yourself, why am I a christian and why do I go to church?

When you answer the 'WHY' question... you'll make the right decision!

I am not a Christian because I was born into a Christ home neither do i attend church cos of my pastor as Salvation is personal!

A pastor is a human like me so he is not my model to follow...

Hello Everyone,

Two months ago, I got another job in Port harcourt, which was better than what I had in Lagos. I have relocated but my challenge is how to move my properties from Lagos to Port harcourt, I do not intend to sell any of my property in Lagos, considering these items would be bought at a giveaway price, However, the challenge I have is that these items are bulky, chairs, bed frame, fridge, home appliances e.tc. I need advice on how I can convey this property at an affordable price. Timeline this weekend
Budget like 200 to 300k to mkve them from Lagos to PH

Jeffy1206:
I bought this power bank recently. Came in 100% factory charged but was still advised to plug it for 24hrs to wake up the cells. Now after doing that, I decided to test the charging speed and how long it will last.
To my surprise, this thing has charged my phone for more than once, (I mean full charge o) only dropped 1%. shocked shocked
Now battery experts, do I need to worry? I have never seen any power bank this strong on a bar o.
NB: it's a new product in town. I like to try new companies cos their first productions are always top notch and unadulterated.
PB capacity =80,000 mah, 66w fast charging.
Phone battery capacity = 7000mah.
I guess we are too used to bad products that the good ones look too good to be true

Not as much as Nollywood.

Nowhere near.

Nollywood broke a lot of barriers and records.

It was because of Nollywood that Nigeria became a household name across Africa and the black diaspora nations like Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad etc.

One might even argue that it was their familiarity with Nollywood, and consequently, Nigerian pidgin and mannerisms, that made their patronisation of Afrobeats easier and more logical.
I quite agree with your line of thoughts

Events › Re: How Partying Is Ruining Some Nigerians Financially by dawnomike(m): 7:57am On Jun 21, 2023
helinues:
How many parties do you attend in a month, for the party goers, average of 4 times. You will buy cloth, sew it, probably buy new shoe, gift the celebrant something, spray them money when they are dancing all because of plate of rice with chicken and 5 bottles of beer.

Do the maths, cloth 20k( level dey but on average), new shoe 5k, gifts 5-10k, spraying of money 5k. Let's say N35k.

Please how much are they selling food at restaurants abi na how much beer cost for bars that you are wasting your hard earned money on partying?

Don't get me wrong, partying is part of social life but it shouldn't be a hobby cos it's expensive. That money could have done something meaningful than wasting it on hours event .

How about the preparation for the party, imagination of who would be at the venue and how to relate, infact, you might even meet those who have been looking for you for long as some people have now turned begging to a professional job.

It doesn't worth it
If you live on lagos island, you'll buy aso-ebi material of 10k and tailor to collect 15k to make it grin cheesy

I would rather send the money to the celebrant and rest at home

Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Took Her Pastor To My House For Sex While I Was Still Around. by dawnomike(m): 6:07am On Jun 21, 2023
Juby:
Guys please I really need your advice.

On Monday evening while I was at home with my girlfriend, her pastor called her that he was coming over to visit of which she said ok, meanwhile, she has already told her pastor and some of her relatives that she was staying with her female friend and not her boyfriend, Of which she gave me her reasons that her pastor and other members of the church including her relatives, will not agree to her staying with a man without marriage. Though I'm a Muslim and a Hausa boy, born and bought up in Lagos were we currently reside, and she is an Igbo girl who was born and bought up in the north, only came here for her nysc and also secure a job at her church as the church accountant/ secretary.
So she told me that her pastor just called her that he is coming around to visit her, so I have to lock myself in the room to allow them talk. I waited for like 20 mins, before I came out to urinate. I peeped through the palour curting but they were not their, so i checked the other room just to be sure. And behold I saw my girlfriend and her pastor who is married with 2 kids on the small guess bed in the room all naked getting ready for sex. Men! I was shot of words, I almost killed that guy before he ran away i didn't follow him cus I don't want to attract the neighbors.
I really love my girlfriend and I don't really want her to go just like that, but I guess I don't have a choice. Though she is still with me now cus she don't have anywhere to go to except back to the north, so I'm still trying to figure out how I can handle the situation. And as for the pastor I'm thinking of reporting him to their head pastors. And I also have evidence. My girlfriend is begging me not to expose them.

So please guys I really need Ur advice on what to do cus I'm confused right now.
And you said she's still under your roofhuh

May you not be murdered!!! Amen

i wooed her, and she accepted. the next day she asked what is my age and i lied is 21 which is exactly her age. after 6 months i was preparing to tell her the truth but at the same period she brought up an issue about dating age mate. i asked her then that what if she is older than me, she replied she won't accept me when i wooed her. i love her so much and couldn't afford telling her then. now after one year of dating, i told her and she is like.."impossible", she is just a year older. she start crying, saying that i hurt her and am definetly hiding more from her. since last week she is not picking my call.
Take solace in the fact that you finally told her the truth rather than keeping up with the lie... She will come around

StagethemTVee:
It’s my 17th wedding anniversary today and I would love to share a few tips.
1. Unmet expectations are the No 1 causes of divorce. Act like the success of the marriage depends on only you.
2. Communication must never stop. Avoid malice and separation under the guise of recovering or getting your heads straight.
3. You are one in the marriage and no party should feel like they are less.
4. Don’t involve family members in your marriage under the guise of seeking advise. Get a mentor with several decades of successful marriage.
5. Spend some time away from the stress together to bond and connect.
6. Be in the circle of people with successful marriages.

Happy 17th wedding Anniversary to me and my boo.
Congrats sir... May God continue to keep and bless you and yours

Fellow Nairalanders, I need help concerning how to import Nigerian goats into the US.

My husband's cousin runs an African store in Georgia in America, and wants to know how he can import live African goats on the request of a customer.

Anyone who has experience running an African store in the US can comment, too. Thanks guys!
It is quite easy, in as much as it is smoked and well packaged. But first, you'll need to confirm if it is not contraband from the border security agency through their website.

Imagine the experience when you tried to open your door and you come one on one with a cobra snake in your room, not one but two mating on your bed. That was the scenario last week and this week another cobra killed.

We've lost chicken back-to-back, here is a YouTube short video of a hawk killed yesterday and tonight another cobra snake fell and landed on our pot of soup.

My boy were beginning to jittery and to lift their soul, I reminded them how we try hunting rodents weeks ago without any luck and now God blessed us back to back to back.

Preventive measures has been taken, pesticide sprayed, nearby bushes cleared and it's a better scene now.
may God keep and protect your kids
