Let us hear the man's side of the story. |
kingingkinging: My brother, you said what was on my mind. And PhD holders are applying to take up positions as truck drivers! |
Billyonaire: I have been to the US many times, never have I seen Americans unpatriotic about their countries, even when corruption is prevalent in the US, there are never instances that the citizens will support foreign nations against their motherland. I regret sharing a country with so many ignorant nematodes. Americans invent the world corruption, fraud and ponzi and all nature of ills. There is corruption every where, including the US, but the magnitude of it in Nigeria is the problem. Let us not make excuses for our politicians. Too many cases of massive corruption are being buried and our judiciary has been turned into complete coma, because of politicians who are after winner takes all. In the US, a lot of people seek political positions to serve their people. here, it appears they seek positions to amass wealth for themselves. Shine your eyes, bro! It takes you possibly less than a year as a minister, a senator or a governor to become a multi-billionare! Some governors are possibly richer than their states, in less than four years. US really may not need to speak. We should be mature to know what our problems are and to address them. But the sad thing is that we have chosen to live in denial, and in Nigeria, history has not failed to repeat itself! |
God save Nigeria from Nigerians. Politicians are looting us all around, raping the future of coming generations and some Nigerians will just lazily write on NL to praise these same politicians! Amazing! This is not about America but about Nigeria. Just last week, some two boys decided to kill 3 innocent Americans and they were picked up within a week. I dont know how many people are kiilled in Nigeria on daily basis and our Police cant help for whatever reasons. Yet, some Nigerians will sit and abuse the US for daring to expose our wicked politicians. My best guess is that these people shouting on the US have been denied visa, so they are bitter for not being allowed to travel to the US. If we treat out country well, will people be qeuing miles long for US visas every morning? |
@fathai you are a bird with the same feather as Badluck nd his clique. No government is void of some corrupt practises but the question is, to what extent? You want to rub shoulder with the US government? Try nd rub it to the extend of the development they have achieved which Nigeria w'l not achieve in the next decade or more with the extent the effect of corruption is ripping Nigerians off their clothes. The truth is always hard to admit notminding from whom it came from. The fact is that Nigeria is heading to doom the way things are going nd it w'l not do us any good to support, cover-up or make excuses for our corrupt leaders. Let's call a spade a spade, we are moving backward nd need to call on God to save us from the evil hands of pharoas of our time.
Next decade? Perhaps you meant next century! |
The government is living in denial. Okupe and Abati will soon write a stinker to the US for daring to say this about Nigeria. Also expect Labaran Maku to go round the country to talk about 'how Nigeria is not corrupt'. |
To whose pocket? So what will happen to Tincan port and Apapa port? Will they become abandoned like other government monuments like National Stadium? 200 billion dollars? Relax small, oga. |
livethinme: I have no problems with pastors expanding and preaching the word of God. I do have problems with people like who you blindly follow and do everything they say. Pastors in Nigeria are seen more as Gods than as Pastors and that is a problem, particularly because they mess around in politics/with politicians. Heck' we have situations in the east where a Pastor in a village can say that a child has the spirit of wizardry in him and said child will be promptly excommunicated from his home. You should go to the church for a while to understand how much they are doing! The easiest thing in the world is to criticize and abuse the people that are doing something. |
iwanchop: That's what he is paid to do;bring down the opposition at all cost. That makes him a political liability! |
Still waiting for the day Okupe will say something reasonable and constructive! |
OKUPE knows he cannot have a single vote if he contests an election, not even his wife will vote for him. Dont know what GEJ is doing with all these spent forces and gross political liabilities. They continue to devalue Jonathan's goodwill everyday and you wonder if the man has any goodwill left! |
Our leaders are not serious. Why do a law separate for pension thieves? What about oil subsidy thieves? What about 'egunjes' running into billions of dollars in the top corridors of power? Very shallow thinking indeed. Very disappointing. |
When will Nigeria be one? When are we going to stop being so so tribal sensitive? When will zoning, ethnic quotas, regional clamouring stop in this country? Madam NOI should really not complain. Perception is reality, you know! |
Did he really say so? |
Anything but PDP! |
Which of your sons? The one being tried for oil subsidy fraud? When they are not asking for amnesty, they are looking for immunity. Capital Oil boss is also gunning for governorship, you know. God save nigeria. |
Is Ezinne sure that she is the first? |
Nonsense. When will they start registering housewives so that they can improve their skills on taking care of their husbands? And what will be the annual renewal fees? |
Amnestricks! All in the name of milking Nigeria dry. |
Then it must be a political organization that has turned to terrorism, and very likely the northern leaders know who BH sponsors are! |
Spot on, 100 pct! |
Mr Abati, it is not what you say that matters, people are reading all the body language of your boss and that is why the noise about 2015. At any rate, if the administration was performing, there will be less noise about elections. The feeling out here is that government has gone asleep and has handed over power to cabals. |
She over-stepped. There is hardly any nation on earth that can make that claim, and definitely not Nigeria! She would have made a good point if she said 98% or 97% are corruption free. When you say 99.9% it is another way of saying 100%! |
With all the executive lawlessness this would also be treated with levity as if the law does not exist. So, what is the essence? |
Amnesty is now more lucrative than oil subsidy! Nigeria's shift has been running adrift I would think, and requires very urgent rescue. |
I still de laugh! Big dreamers. |
Shakara. This wont fly! |
People making comments do not need to abuse President Goodluck Jonathan all the time. I am not a fan of his policies, but I think we should respect his office. GEJ is the president of Nigeria. Criticize him and his policies if you wish, but no need on earth to abuse him or call him names. Abusing the president, an elected one for that matter, is like abusing all Nigerians that voted him to power. |
BRF, you got it wrong. Leadership is not necessary a factor of how educated you are! |
No way. |
What about TORONTO? |
Nigerians are tired of figures that do not reflect in standard of living of Nigerians. |
