My point is that the meaning and symbol of Agaba in Idoma resonates with the symbol in Igboland rather than the ordinary meaning you gave in Igbo which I thought was far removed from the concept of Agaba.

But answer this then. God made Adam on the 6th day (which is 1,000 years). God blessed Adam on the seventh day, his rest day, (which is another 1,000 years). God later took things further and made a woman for Adam - presumably on the eighth day because nothing suggests the seventh haden't ended. So how come Adam lived for only 930 years?

No sir, it isn't literal. Genesis was written by Moses, who as a prophet, was allowed a peek into the past in his encounter with God and he wrote down what he saw.

Moses was not born in Genesis times. He was not there. He is a prophet. Many times prophecy is not literal. It's a lot like John in the book of Revelation writing about heaven and the future. He is writing about something his mind cannot fathom and so speaks mostly in metaphors. Same thing with Nostradamus writings - mostly metaphors. It is the same with Moses' writing in Genesis.

Geologic earth history and the biblical earth history are not contradictory of each other in my view.

The 6 days of creation in the bible, for example, could have happened over billions of years. And there were times when the world was covered with water in the biblical narrative and later when sea creatures filled the seas, long before man was created.

So don't take the number of days literally.

OP, this is a tough one. Go see a good therapist. Here are possibilities to this.

You are probably soul-tied to your first love. So there is no room for another. This can be deprogrammed and the possibility of you opening up to loving and allowing your husband to love you can be explored.

There are perception problems, negative beliefs and thinking errors that make you act the way you do and discount all his good and exaggerate the bad. This can be rewired.

Lastly, if all these fail then divorce can and should be explored to free each other from this trauma.
