Do ijaws live on land ? I thought they are the water tribe of Nigeria.Hence, they should live inside the creeks.
Its either you havent travelled to Ijawland, or you are a fool...Some of you guys just tap computer keys and type trash..... |
Lord Babs: I too don't give a damn!I cant believe myself, in that while a part of me is condemning this act, a part is basking in malicious satisfaction. I only pray the daughter be released unharmed! But the senator must part with some of the public funds he looted when in the senate....... |
Toluth: Is this how we are going to continue complaining on online forums and offline discussions? The choice is ours! Nigerians believe God will punish our 1 per cent corrupt and half-evoled rulers and exonerate we the 99 per cent masses who simply watched and did absolutely significant....... |
love4ual: i have always challenged any nigerian youth on nairaland........who thinks that one day nigeria would change to come out and prove it........there is no hope for any average youth out their............this is why i left that useless country......................except the way it is done in egypt.........no form of hope will ever come out in nigeria.............I have told scores of Nigerians something close to what you remarked here. I have concluded that we dont deserve good governance, reason being that we want to get such lofty dream on a platter of gold. Even my wife thinks am possibly backslidden in faith when I told her docile prayers alone wont address our leadership problems. Obviously we enjoy sufferings down here. The talk of progress and forwardness can only make sense to people who recognise their stagnancy. Nigerians dont even realise they are stagnant, let alone moving forward. Its really saddening...... |
ozoebuka1: What are u still waiting for, huh? start crawling with ya hands, legs, mind and we will follow suite since prayerz cant help this doomed nation... na one person go make the change and that person might be u.Yes. A typical Nigerian's mindset. Prayers didnt build Europe and America. |
FOLLEY20: My prayer is dat God wil have mercy on d common man in Nigeria. Our problems here are man-made. And so shall the solution be! The Almighty is ever merciful, but since Nigerians have continue to cooperate with their oppressors, in that they have refused to organise themselves for mass protests and acts of noncooperation, the masses will continue to suffer. There's what God will do for us, and there's what we must do for ourselves. The fact we have heads and brains in them confirm my theory.... |
ogugua88: This isn't news to anyone. What is news and will forever remain news is that Nigerians are not fazed by it.And thats the most unfortunate aspect of this issue. How can the entire masses be so indifferent to issues to affect both their present and future lives? I have concluded long ago that until we are ready to wrest power from these crooks, we're doomed. These are issues that dont need docile and dead prayers. |
Olodostein: Nigeria Senator in his rocking chair reading this and say;bro, ever since it occurred to me that we are to blame for our woes, i quit blaming our rulers. Or why should the collective limited resources of a people are this ruthlessly looted and pillaged by their rulers and the people keep quiet? I have said it over and over that God will not just condemn our corrupt leaders to justice and live we the masses exonerated. We have chosen to remain this way. Nigerians obviously dont deserve good governance, since they are not willing to pay its attendant sacrifice....its that sad.... |
EyesWideOpen: That headline is grossly misleading!me too tire for this kind reporting oo |
amosy007: Story storyLet me sarcastically say that GEJ mentioned ending BH carnage by June, but didnt say the year... |
sincere22k: Imagine o. A student will spend money to register for PUTME, now the result is out some schools demanding student to buy scratch card to before they can see their results, some schools sale it as high as 2650 if your buying the card with online.obvious reson: The students will comply... |
subtleb: Think the best thing we can do is dat we nigerians should fight 4 ourself, our future, our lyf cos dis country hv nothing 2 offer 4 it sMy best quote.... |
Pataki: I will build airports across the 36 states in Nigeria - GEJ (while the idi0t cannot even land his helicopter in two of the current airports in Nigeria)! He said BH will be over by June. But he didnt say the year. |
Super1759: Who made this man pastor self..instead of him praying for one nigeria he is scattering us.nawa ooEurope and America werent built with prayers alone. Go on Bakare! |
afam4eva: Nothing wey we no go hear for this country. Do these people think before they talk?THESES GUYS KEEP DISGRACING IJAWS WITH THEIR PATHETIC STATEMENTS.....TAMARA AIAEI YO! |
It's only on a Nigerian forum that a topic about birth control will lead to a response about revolution.
one day, una go kill person withg laff...hahaha |
I think i need a break from these constantly depressing news! How can a nation be corrupt to this extent? |
Oh! What a shame! A supposed federal lawmaker! See how greed reduce a man to a piece of bread! |
ssjalo: God will never allow wicked to rule for HIS children. That is one the premise that His children will go out there and vote in good governance, Adams, in this case. God is not responsible for our actions..... |
At the end of the day, nothing will come out of all these accusations and counter-accusations. What has happened to Patricia Etteh, Bankole and so many others. Nigerians will also not demand justice be meted out to people that are culpable. I don tire
THE FACT THAT NIGERIANS WONT OCCUPY NASS TO ENSURE THESE THIEVES ARE SENT TO JAIL IS THE MAIN REASON THEY WONT BE SENT. |
acidtalk: *Laugh one kill Me*funny indeed......land of mind-boggling absurdities........still laffing |
omosexy1: Where is the Save Nigeria Group when you need them? Are they sleeping?IF SNG CALLS FOR ANY FORM OF PROTEST, WILL YOU JOIN? ARE WILLING TO SACRIFICE YOUR COMFORT FOR A SEASON? |
BlueMurder: I hope so too, but how will this hope translate to reality when the National Assembly whose duty it is to make such laws, is itself a bastion of corruption? Now i understand why that Lagos guy threatened to send them a nuclear warhead. Imagine the damage they are doing to our collective psyche and heritage.WE CAN FORCE THEM TO PROMULGATE IT IF WE ARE WILLING TO BRAVE THE DANGER OF OCCUPYING NASS INDEFINITELY |
Demdem: how dare uHE ONLY ASKED A QUESTION!!! |
slimming: They know where to get himDONT MIND THEM!!! slimming: They know where to get himDONT MIND THEM!!! slimming: They know where to get himDONT MIND THEM!!! |
cashmentor: me self tire O! Buh i recall OBJ calling all of' em Robbers and Criminals....the Judiciary, Legislators and the NPF, they're like 5 and 6.... I'll bet on this matter that nothing will Come out of it! Our Reps need to hide their heads in Shame, they're a disgrace to Africa, not just the Ordinary Nigerian....GBAM |
The FG of Nigeria is so fortunate to have a largely divided, timid and over-religious population! The tortures arising from bad governance are enough to infuriate normal pple to engage this inept and visionless government in series of protests, boycotts and resilient demonstrations but alas!theses are nigerians who are expecting a celestial body to come down from the skies to solve their myriads of problems. Truth is: the government of a nation can only be corrupt to the degree the masses can bear and accommodate. Which govt in the world will perform when it knows the masses wont hold it accountable for its non-performance! |
How will the situation of light inprove when the masses keep paying for what they dont enjoy? To get steady power is simple: all nigerians refuse paying PHCN bills. Simple. Its a worse form of corruption for one to pay for a utility one doesnt enjoy! Docile nigerians... |
I weep for this nation! What if a few thousand of us OCCUPY NASS? What a joke of a nation! Dont know what to say, *shedding tears in my heary*, |
@ omo9j. Get this fact straight: when a law is not implemented, that alone denies the very existence of the law. Therefore, Nigeria is lawless. Otherwise, the law would have prevented those trigger-happy police thugs from carrying out their barbarities with utmost impunity. GOD BLESS NAIJA. |
the only way to change this ugly trend is to occupy eagle square |
when people play politics with a game as important to nigerians as football, what do you expect? funny indeed |
Haba!
