Oyo State truly setting the pace. This is the real "oyato" governor! God grant him more wisdom and keep the professional detractors away from him. Amen Having quite a number of young and focused people in governance in the State is indeed heartwarming. It's time to groom our future leaders instead of recycling old men. |
I don't agree with the looting and killings. It's most unfair. However I observe from the comments of the South Africans that they don’t want lawlessness and more crime in their country. Can't we just do clean business wherever we go? |
Really? Are they still using the Gregorian calendar? The report was posted in 2017. |
When will help start governing the state? All he seems to do is to concentrate on Okorocha. |
SW list. Now the arguments and "shading" begins!. ![]() Whosoever! ...we all carry the green passport and will be treated only as Nigerians wherever we go. |
Hmmm! |
Very sad! Why not quit a marriage if it’s no longer working? Extra marital affairs doesn’t solve the problem. It only becomes more complicated. |
Chief Mrs Onikepo Akande is an Accountant, and the Chairman, Lagos Chamber of Commerce. She’s a well accomplished lady. She’s beautiful, humble and very pleasant woman. God bless the charming lady. Oye a mori o. |
Open borders everywhere apart from the official border posts! |
I’m wondering how this is connected to the problem of moving out tomatoes out from Imeko, Ogun State (close to the border). |
lilytender: Can't help laughing.Sincerely I'll rather vote for Adesina warts and all instead of our recycled professional politrickcians who get us nowhere. I remember that farmers had a wonderful time when he was the Minister of Agriculture. Fertilisers were made available directly to local farmers - no "connections" required. Great guy with a clear focus of what Africans need! |
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/08/25/drug-trafficking-73-nigerians-on-death-row-in-malaysia/amp/ Naming and shaming is one of the old methods that worked years ago because we had smaller societies and no one protected criminals. It’s a larger society now and various interests come into play. Still it may reduce the criminal tendencies of some people. Right now we have a huge problem on our hands with our people running foul of the law all over the world. Lost values, an ineffective judicial system and greed are at the root of this misbehavior. Sadly all Nigerians will pay for the misdeeds of a few. We are all Nigerians as far as outsiders are concerned. Besides tribal analysis is irrelevant because there are criminals in every tribe. |
Kabiyesi! K’ade pe lori, ki bata pe lese |

This is very unfair if true. I don't even understand the need for the border closure. This news now makes it look like a deliberate attempt to sabotage the Ogun farmers. Meanwhile tomatoes are currently so expensive. Why allow this harvest to waste? |
Deepfeel:Surrogacy and legal adoption are practised in Nigeria. Find out details from doctors and Social Welfare depts/ Ministries. There's no excuse for selling babies. |
If only we get to know how recovered funds are disbursed especially when it's not included in the budget. |
At 13! Travelling out of town alone! Some kids are still busy with cartoons and childhood stuff at this age. It's too early to be the committed in a relationship. This child needs strong parental guidance. This is terrible! |
They deserve death penalty! |
ekestic1976:It's happens everywhere! |
People should stop throwing plastic bottles and food packs in gutters. We are indeed the architects of most of our problems. |
jamace:I'm wondering if the whole area mentioned is truly dominated by Christians. I know that Chibok is largely occupied by Christians. Most unfair if so. |
bentwood85:He's HAUSA - TIV according to the story! |
Wow! May God comfort and uphold him. May he be strengthened to cope with this sad and heavy loss. Amen May their souls rest in perfect peace. |
Interesting story. Some Yoruba towns have similar stories of dispersion due to wars. The Owus originally from Oyo are found in Ogun Osun and Kwara states now. Also Offa (Kwara), Ofatedo (Osun),Iloffa (Kwara),Iyana Ofa Ofa(Oyo) are all Offa people whose origin is Oyo. The Olukunmis are known to be a link between Yorubas and Igbos based on migration. It’s good to learn about our history. We’re all more related than we think! |
Misplaced priorities! |
Towards elections..... |
desiredhome:Many Churches are deeply rooted in giving. Only some of the new day, sole proprietor churches operate solely as business centres. God focused Churches often set up clinics, charity homes for the disabled, old people and special needs kids. They visit and care for prisoners, visit the hospitals to care for the sick, give scholarships to the poor and care for widows. Many deviant and homeless people have been rescued from the streets by Churches. I belong to Church ministries that render service to humanity and I know you can't have any pecuniary gain from doing that. God rewards. If every single Church/ Mosque does the same diligently, our society will be a much better place to live in. |
That's probably why kidnappers are having a field day. They believe that they will always escape. The security forces will become entangled in this guerilla war if this incidence is not well resolved in good time. For instance, who invited the army and why? Sad loss to the IRT, their families and Nigeria as a whole. I remember watching Abba Kyari and his team ( probably including these guys) in a BBC documentary. May their gallant souls rest in perfect peace. Amen |
Value system disappearing so fast....maybe they're being cynical though. |
