Celebrities › Re: Busola Dakolo Under Fire For Claiming Police Forced Her To Withdraw Rape Case by delpee(f): 4:08pm On Aug 07, 2019
Sad if true. The fact is that rape victims mostly keep quiet because of intimidation. If Busola was indeed raped and trying to heal by telling her story, this occurence will only make her feel worse.

Surprisingly all those saying that they have evidence of the Pastor frollicking with women have suddenly gone quiet. Seems only God and the people involved know the true story.

Time will tell. Nothing remains hidden forever.

SoNature:
Is not the same Amosun that Pastor Oyedepo wanted to fix Agbara-Ota road and he refused?

He insisted that the money be paid to the state government so that they can loot the money grin

And Pastor Oyedepo knowing Nigerian government very well, turned them down
I remember that happened in Gov Daniel’s era. OGSG had a signboard at the Sango toll gate end which stated that the road was to be constructed. Nothing happened so Bishop Oyedepo made an offer which was rejected probably because there was no allowance for contract inflation to suit politicians. Canaanland personnel eventually graded the road to make it more motorable.

Which kind ridiculous sentence be this na angry
The 7 years should be for one pupil so the guy was suppose to get 7x35 which is 245 years in jail!
Is our law in support of sodomy and child molestation?
This is purely miscarriage of Justice angry
It’s annoying and unfair to the victims. He’ll soon be back to ‘business’.
We certainly need tougher sentences for crimes like this. Poor kids. sad Some may be emotionally ruined for life if no counseling takes place.
Politics › Re: Presidency hails Nigerians for Ignoring Sowore’s #RevolutionNow Protests by delpee(f): 8:34pm On Aug 05, 2019
Odingo1:
Yoruba don't have courage to do anything, one gun shot today at Surulere lagos this morning, they all ran away leaving only one Igbo man standing.
Obviously a young man! Read about the June 12 protests. Those who ran away were not Yorubas. Besides, those I saw on TV protesting are courageous people irrespective of their tribes. Some were arrested..Maybe this isn’t the best of times for any kind of protest. The nation is so badly divided so we may not have the kind of unity/cohesion of the past.
Politics › Re: Insecurity: Deploying Drones, Cctvs In Southwest Is A Waste Of Time - Afenifere by delpee(f): 4:59pm On Aug 02, 2019
I agree that if those arrested are punished in accordance with the law, it will be easier to manage the problem. Right now, people in the villages claim that those arrested by local vigilantes get released without trial. Some even go back to the villages to show that they're above the law. It's annoying and frustrating indeed.

Can true Muslims please enlighten us? I've heard about this but never knew it's this deep.

Christians have their various sects too. Each one on it's own. There's no reason to fight each other since we all know that God is the ultimate judge.
Politics › Re: Shia Proscription: The End Of Sunni Led Fulani Apathied Rule In The North by delpee(f): 11:45am On Jul 27, 2019
saaron:
IMN protest is for the release of their leader, nothing more. Besides, shiites are Nigerians so if any one among them wish to contest for political office, they have every right to do so. Shia is a religion not a political party.
Thanks for your explanation. I'm wondering why the government is unwilling to release him. I don't understand why this goes on and on when it can be simply resolved.
Politics › Re: Shia Proscription: The End Of Sunni Led Fulani Apathied Rule In The North by delpee(f): 11:05am On Jul 27, 2019
So the plan is for the Shia movement to take over? An Ayatollah perhaps?

We need to understand if this is about the release of their leader (which the court has ruled on) or some hidden agenda. I had always thought the protest was geared strictly towards the release of El Zakzaky.
Politics › Re: Royal Niger Company Trends On Twitter by delpee(f): 11:17pm On Jul 26, 2019

My great grandfather used to work at the Royal Niger Company.
Well, this is not News and I wonder why some people are just finding out.
History was knocked out of the school curriculum at a point in time to hide some secrets. The younger generation have no idea of these stories which we learnt as history in primary and secondary school years back. That's why we get to see a lot of uneccesary arguments and downright ignorance online. It's sad really.

Xisnin:
Nobody spent $16 billion dollar on power that is pure propaganda.
These shameless reps are about to waste millions investigating a baseless case.
Remember that they did one around 2008 with no head or tail because the government
did not release $16 billion to any company or individual.
You're right. CBN records were checked at the time according to reports. There was no indication that 16 billion was spent.

Politics › Re: Should Rauf Aregbesola Be Minister Of Education? by delpee(f):
plaindealer:
I need you to answer the same question.

Was there improvement under Aregbesola? Yes Or No?
If the improvement in 8 years only took Osun to 29th position, I don't see much progress. Besides I know people there, I visit too and I am not impressed by the standard of students from the public schools there. Some private schools are doing great no doubt.

Some of the new big schools seem empty to me. Yes, they're nicely built. How about the teachers? Poorly paid with little hope for gratuity/pension. How will they perform wonders?

I believe that it's a disgrace that any Yoruba state should be in the league of the less developed states in this day and age. Those of us who studied in the Western Region (up to a point) know the distinction between proper education and propaganda.
Politics › Re: Should Rauf Aregbesola Be Minister Of Education? by delpee(f): 10:57pm On Jul 23, 2019
plaindealer:
After building the world-class schools, they scored over 100% improvement in WASSCE and WAEC.

Now, who thought the students? Teachers or the world-class schools did the teaching?

How exactly do you score 110% improvement without good teachers? is it possible?

See how senseless you sound?

You people need to elevate above hatred and disgusting tribalism and stop sounding like illiterates.
Which 100% score/improvement? Osun was 29th out of 36 in 2018. Check the WAEC ranking.

Which tribalism? Osun is very well known to me and I am interested in her progress.

BTW learn to be a proper Omoluabi. Avoid rudeness. You can pass on a message without insults.

God bless LKJ today and always. A very humble and accomplished man.

His opening up of Lekki with the construction of Lekki - Epe expressway is the reason why the once remote peninsula has become a big city.

So many achievements within four years.

Baba Kekere. ...more grace, good health, joy and peace always. Amen
