Trust2020:They're playing games in my opinion. Report through the appropriate channel. I no longer have that number but I believe you can get it online. |
viodemus:Roads are under Ministry of Works. |
money121:If your experience over time shows that he's a time waster ( not evident from your post), you could just have ignored him. Sometimes, responses are not necessary. |
money121:Read through the posts without any bias. You'll learn some things. Get books to read on Sales and Marketing. If you can't take time out for formal study, read journals on management especially those relating to successful business owners and basic principles. It's not about degrees, it's about more knowledge, greater wisdom and enlightenment on how to manage your business for greater success. You should learn to exercise great control on how you respond to other people's actions. Never respond to matters like this if you're angry or irritated. Think it through and do what can build relationships not destroy them. There are difficult people no doubt but this person hasn't done anything outrageous as per your post. Moreover, you could have followed up on your proposal too. That's how you know if he still has a plan or he has moved on. Still, he can refer you to others depending on his reason for backing out. Lack of funds for instance. In this case, you could have offered that he pay by instalments depending on your assessment. |
money121:You need to learn more about marketing, communications and business management. This isn't the right way to deal with a customer even if he didn't patronise you. You could have won him over for another deal with a better response. That you're doing well doesn't mean you can't do better. Your millions can become trillions plus easier move towards greater stability and continuous growth. |
joseph1832:The property owners can sue those who sold to them since they're known to them. |
naptu2:Wow! Of course there can't be any government approval for this. This is so unprofessional and disgraceful if the developers are indeed educated. Where's the water supposed to go? No wonder there's been heavy flooding in Lekki. Yet, we always blame LASG for inefficiency. SMH |
DJInfluence:If it happened in Lagos and the self proclaimed rapist is found, he'll be tried. |
Reality2023:Make use of the complaints contact numbers of the Minister's aides as posted a while ago. Unfortunately I no longer have it but I'm aware that it worked for some people. |
One of the reasons poor people remain in poverty... Money that should have been properly invested to generate income from which they can buy new phones. I wonder why expensive phones are so important to those who can't conveniently afford it. |
oliverwrites:I like your positive outlook and selflessness with regards to your kids. Buy what the children want and invest more for their future. They're too young for cash gifts. God bless you so much more. Thankfully you were wise enough to get depression out of your mind. God will touch your wife's heart if she was truly wrong. I pray that you get the desires of your heart so you can live together again as one loving and happy family someday soon. |
@OP Continue working towards getting your papers. You'll find a suitable Nigerian lady in due course if you persist. |
Bobloco:Maybe....but when will it be the right time? |
Bobloco:Remember that the buildings and facilities will still be in place long after BAT and Wike have gone. They're necessities for the development of institutions and in this case the judiciary. |
From the comments, it's obvious that most people only read the heading. Anyway, kudos to Prof. Uche Amazigo Uche for making women proud and for not betraying the trust of TYD. Certainly, she'll ensure that the hospital project makes a huge impact on the community. God bless her and TYD for this worthwhile project. Shame on the men who have taken funds from TYD without results. ![]() |
ValarDoharis:Tinubu wasn't the President when the notices were issued last year. I have no reason to defend him or any other politician. All are the same to me. The important thing is that we should all learn to abide by set rules and the law. BTW I once had to abandon land that I bought years ago somewhere in Lekki when there were doubts being raised even after verifying it. Just last week, I read in the news that the occupants are having issues with the government. Due diligence is key at all times. "Settlement" is a risk and often doesn't end well. |
Annahh:The reality is that those who do the processing themselves don't spend as much as those who go through agents. I know quite a number of people there and they didn't sell their landed properties to relocate. Having proper knowledge of the requirements and procedures is important. I agree that it's more difficult for those who have nowhere to stay for the first few months. They need to have sufficient funds to live on till they have jobs that can pay their bills. Tax is quite heavy unfortunately so saving isn't easy. |
Maybe...but there'll be other candidates to contest against. Anyone can win. |
viodemus:Rail is under the Transport Ministry. |
ajepako:Shomolu- Bariga axis is mainly occupied by Ijebu settlers. Those places used to be part of the old Western Region....up to Fadeyi/Mushin areas. Lagos Territory started from Yaba/Surulere. |
They should wind up the commission and hand it over to the private sector after an independent audit. Afterall, Baba Ijebu et al are making fantastic profits out of compulsive gamblers. Gambling is ruining lives and it has a terrible impact on youth development, especially the poor ones who see it as a lifeline only to end up sinking deeper into poverty. |
Manny21:Nigeria has been working on solar energy especially for rural electricity projects. I've seen a few commissioned ones in the news. |
I don't understand why he's hanging on to power. His family should advise him if he's under some unimaginable force that is encouraging him to ruin himself. Health first above everything. We can be leaders only when the body and soul are fully in good shape. I'm wondering why his wife and doctors aren't helping him to do what's right for his own good. |
Newsmic:If this is true, may this guy reap as he's sowing. Why should the woman have to sell her father's house to support his other family? The height of oppression and wickedness. I pray that she finds help. |
Yonce:Well, if they want to work here, they should study in line with the requirements of MDCN same way they'll do for a foreign exam. Just like you have to pass the Nigerian Law School exams if you want to practice law in Nigeria. Our peculiarities differ so there's no basis of comparison. They have the option of the foreign exams too anyway. |
Based on all I've read and the responses of those affected, most of the structures were built without genuine approvals. They paid omo onile and bribed scammers to acquire government land. Some were hoping that they would be allowed to "regularise" after building. Notices were given last year according to FHA. Some who had not built still went ahead. Anyone with genuine documents and approvals can sue the government. Honestly, we need to learn to comply with our laws if we truly want a better society. We're the greatest critics of government when flooding occurs, yet we see nothing wrong in building on water channels. The most annoying thing is the silly idea that a tribe is being targeted. Most reports I've read show a mix of tribes as respondents from Lekki and Festac. May God grant them full restoration. |
Aww! So proud of her. The real slay mama. ![]() |
oluztx:It appears that there are more Northerners on the list. Somewhat lopsided. Yes, there should be more SS people on the list but there are other oil related agencies. Probably they have more positions across board. |
I think there are surgeries that can be undertaken to correct this anomaly. Besides that, there's no reason why he can't be loved by someone who sees beyond his physical self. I pray that he finds true love. |
Most qualified Nigerians have decent jobs there. What happens is that in the first year, some are unable to get jobs at the level they were back home because of the usual request gor Canadian experience. That cancels out in a few years in the worst scenario. By that time, guy is already a citizen. I'm referring to those who migrated legitimately. |
Ndimkpurummiri:Deportation to where when they're Nigerians? Demolished buildings belonged to people from different parts of Nigeria including Yorubas. It's certainly not an attack on Igbos. It's all about sanitising the environment and stopping impunity. The flooding we experience often stems from issues arising from unplanned development. |
