So, what happened to Buhari's rice pyramid? undecided

That rice pyramid is the greatest scam in Africa.
Bandits have sent people away from their farms.
Career › Re: Should Children Be Their Parents' Retirement Plan? by delpee(f): 1:18pm On Nov 15, 2023
Sometimes, a child's circumstances makes it difficult to give adequate attention to parents. However, there are social welfare organisations now that manage the elderly. You can have resident carers or opt for a well managed old people's home. Most parents (if not too lonely) are happier and do better being cared for at home by trained carers. Not random househelps please.

In addition, health insurance takes care of medical matters. All they need is to jointly arrive at the best option and raise funds to carry out their plan.

A good child who is unable to visit regularly or accommodate a parent can opt for this. Good parents sacrifice a lot to look after their children. Abandoning them in old age isn't fair. Even if they're rich, being in touch with them and providing meaningful advice helps them to live a good life notwithstanding old age challenges.

He is Ikwere....they say they're not Igbo, but will bear Igbo name.
Now those people that are allergic to travel and learning will start shouting "Igbo" here and there.
His tribe is irrelevant. We've seen people from other ethnic groups being tried for this. Nothing new. He's still a Nigerian who has disgraced us.

I pray and hope that our men will learn to be of good behaviour here and abroad.

I wish they expressed their view loudly by coming out to vote massively against him on election day. That's what happened in Osun. It has happened in other states too.

Fighting for true democracy in Nigeria is constantly a big struggle. Those determined win in due course.

Kushites:
These Israelis take the world for fools.

Any of those IDF guys could have easily carried those things in a bag and placed them there to call cameras and claim it was Hamas.

Just to justify bombing hospitals and other war crimes they are committing.

Nonsense.
Plus IDF created the tunnel with outlet inside the hospital? The entrance and ladder were visible in the video I watched. There's no point defending HAMAS though I believe Israel needs to be careful. Innocent lives matter. HAMAS deliberately uses Palestinians as human shields to attract sympathy from people across the world.
Politics › Re: NLC Nationwide Strike: What's The Update From Your State? by delpee(f): 10:28am On Nov 14, 2023
Ajaero didn't occupy NASS to protest the purchase of expensive purchases while citizens are reeling in poverty. Brutalizing him was unfair. I empathize with him and pray that he recovers well.

Perhaps he should sue for assault and undue harassment instead of making life more difficult for citizens who just want to go and work for their daily bread. Ironu o papo (varied thoughts) at this point in time.

He's been making promises about the border town roads. Akute, Lambe, Agege - Ota etc. They're still a huge mess of muddy/dusty roads with big craters.

Why don't you invest the money you have in business here? Going with a tourist visa with a plan to stay and work is risky. Those who want to make money out of you will not tell you the truth.

The other option is to get a legitimate work visa before you leave and have enough to sustain you for some months before you're stable on a job.

Turns out it's the 3rd edition. Why is there so much noise and antagonism then?

Enugu that I know and have visited at least twice is quite cosmopolitan. I never felt out of place. Perhaps the 2023 elections has done us more harm than good.

The Yorubas believe that if the placenta is not well disposed and a dog gets to eat it, such a child will turn out wayward. Hence the saying; 'Aja gbe ibi re je'.

Secondly, if one buries the placenta with its wrapper (like a thick polythene bag) and it doesn't decompose on time, it could lead to different health challenges in the newborn (spiritually though). The placenta is meant to be buried deep under the soil where it will eventually decompose to become soil.

Thirdly, if one handles the placenta carelessly and it gets to the hands of ritualists. E don finish!

I believe I've been able to shed more light on this? wink wink
True according to the custom and tradition of Yorubas.

There's something spiritual about the placenta anyway.

At 20-26 years, she had numerous men coming at her but she neglected them cos she was busy exploring and whoring her flower age.

At 27-33 years, she flooded religious houses, praying and fasting for same men she rejected and neglected during her flower age.

At 39, she's now blaming innocent spirit husband for her mistakes.
She didn't remember spirit husband when she was flying from dick to dick like a butterfly during her flower age.

Women should learn to take responsibility for their actions!
You know her well enough to come to these conclusions? Some people never or rarely get proposals in their prime years. It's difficult to understand especially when the person is well behaved. Not every unmarried 39 year old misbehaved or was choosy.
Education › Re: OAU Lecturer Assault Student For Refusing To Switch Off Her Phone While In Class by delpee(f): 10:36pm On Nov 09, 2023
I knew it will come to this when youths started the "no manners" ideology. As Africans, it's absolutely out of place to be rude to our elders. Besides, what is the purpose of being in class if you won't listen and concentrate on the lecture? It could also cause distraction for others. The lecturer is in charge of the class and should be obeyed.

Assault is avoidable though I sense that he was aggravated by her audacity. He should learn to control his temper.

Oloriburuku Daru governor

Na now his day brake?

Asigbe omo ward.

Worst governor in Nigeria history.

What of the Abeokuta/Lagos express road.
Sango to Agbara and Badagry nko?
Sango to Akute road nko
Those Okearo, gasline and others are terrible place to be for a state with top 5 highest IGR
And most industrial state in Nigeria
True about the roads. I passed through the Agege - Sango Ota Road last week. It's heartbreaking seeing massive craters on the road with cars diving in and out. The Sango-Akute road is another hell on earth. I wonder how those living there and working in Lagos cope. It's actually possible to even link the place to Lagos Ibadan expressway vua Magboro. Some foresight for future planning if he cares.

I don't know if the Sango - Ifo road is better now. It was an eyesore the last time I went that way. Even the Ota industrial estate has no motorable road as far as I could see. Those are heavy taxpayers being ignored.

Gov. Dapo Abiodun needs to really work harder. FG hasn't made his work easier but if he focuses on doing well, he'll accomplish it.
