Tshozzy: Hi Friends,
I am new here. I have read a lot from different post. however, please i have some questions to ask. I intend to go to Northside hospital Atlanta by February to have my baby. I have gotten a quote from them which is 3,550 dollars just for 2 nights excluding other services like PED, GYN etc.
Please can anyone assist with the procedure after getting the bill especially on getting a doctor?
Do i have to pay any upfront to the hospital before getting my appoint letter?
Also between Atlanta and Maryland please which is more expensive to give birth?
Thank u so much With regards to upfront payments,it depends on the hospital, some do require you to,while others don't.. Hospitals in Maryland is more expensive than Atlanta in my opinion. |

hotlarry: Good morning house, a quick one, please can one tell them at the POE that you r staying at a hotel or mother care centre? If yes what document do you need to provide/ present for confirmation? Thanks for responses. For hotel,I guess you should have a print out of your hotel reservation. And for the mother care center you should have a receipt of your payment and the phone number of your host handy,so that if they are in doubt they can call |

talk2jt: Hello Guys,
I have a question. My friend and his family got their US visa in 2015. They have traveled twice btw 2015 and 2016. This year his wife went to give birth, she's back now, she didn't spend up to 6 months. So he tried to renew their visa through dropbox but they were told to appear for an interview. Does anyone know why this might have happened? He also stated that they made all payments in America for the birth of their son. Thank you guys. They must have noticed that she stayed unusually long on her last trip, most likely that's why she was invited for the interview. They might want to confirm what she was doing in the Us for that long a time. Since you said she had a baby, she should go with evidence of payment for all medical services received and if possible a letter of zero balance also. |

From what I've been reading here for some days now,VO's are really very strict these days o,ki lo de? I think the question that should be addressed now is whether if discounts given to cash paying patients is illegal? Because e be like say the thing dey vex dem no be small o,as it's quite obvious they frown at it these days. It seems they expect us to be paying like $15k for hospital & Dr alone. Abeg where that kine money dey, just to go born pikin? |

Bisoye76: Pls am new on this platform i have 2 major questions bothering my mind. Am trying to apply for visa to the US inorder to have our baby i already contacted an hospital in Houston and a confirmation letter has already been sent to me without asking for any comitment fee so am wondering if this confirmation letter only can increase my chances of getting our visa. And am planning to apply and travel with my 3yr old son is it advisable we state we are staying with a friend in US or its better we book an apartment for our stay. Pls note i have not been to d US before but Uk severally. Pls ur candid opinion will be appreciated. Did the confirmation letter sent to you state that they are willing to accept you? Did it state their prices for services? Does it have Dr's contact & phone number? If yes to the above questions then you are good to go. Which ever option (either you book an accommodation or you stay with a friend) you chose is ok |

iykmon: You can use your existing VISA for giving birth, so far you have the money and you have correspondence with a doctor In the US. You just have to be confident during the interview at the point of entry. Applying for a new VÏSA will automatically cancel the existing one you have. Try and read previous trends you will see people that have use their VÏSA other than the reason for previous visit. All these people want to see is that you return back home and pay your bills and have your receipt. Your job back home matters to the VO. Just the truth is what they want to hear. I beg to disagree, among other things,it also matters to the VO and the CBP officer at the Poe that you didn't misrepresent, the issue of credibility is also very important to them. The said person might be lucky to get into the us,but who can confidently say her visa would be renewed or not.my 2 cent. |

litylity55: Good evening my people. Pls I need urgent advise and enlightement on this issue.
I got B1/b2 visa for me and my family to go for Easter break last March but we couldn't make the trip due to my work. But we are planning to go by next year Easter which is March ending. But now I discovered my wife is pregnant and we are planing that if we travel that next year March she shd stay back and have the baby and come back after the child birth in Houston. Her due date is ending of June or early July. And we will travel by March ending 2018.
We have family to stay with there but we are yet to get a doctor and hospital for her which I believe we will get by grace of God. My issue is that shd we inform the embassy of change of intent because of point of entry issue, and when buying tickets me am going to stay for just two weeks but she and the kids will stay back until after delivery they will be coming back with new baby. When buying the ticket shd I buy two weeks for my self and like 5months for them cos of the duration of her coming back. Pls advise me am so confused here. Plsss Biko. The only problem I see here is that your visa was not used for what it was gotten for,so you have two options you might want to explore. 1. This is the ideal option, your wife should do her homework and apply for a new medical visas and come clean. 2.Send the change of intent letter, buy 2wks ticket for yourself and 5months for your wife and kids, and make sure that their (your wife and kids) ticket is a flexible one i.e. that you can change dates for a small fee, don't go and buy those promo tickets where they ask for an arm & a leg when you want to change dates. This route is not advisable cause your wife might have issues renewing her visa. |

Renee25: Hello house, I'm new to this forum. Please i'm in a fix at the moment. I am 12weeks pregnant, though not showing. I applied for a B1/B2 visa for vacation. DH applied through dropbox. I just realized i should have applied for a B2 visa instead. My appointment is on the 19th. I havent made correspondence with any doctor in the US. And right now, it's late to do that since my appointment is next week. Please what do i do? I will advise you to tell them at the embassy when asked what you are going to do in the us,that you are going to give birth. Intensify your hustle for dr & hospital correspondence, you still have 10days to go. With regards to the account statement, there is not much you can do at this stage,it would have been better to go with a personal statement, but since its has happened like this just go with your husbands business account and also go with documents to show that the business belongs to him. As for going to the embassy with dollars? It is not a good idea at all, I have not heard of anyone that did this o. You'll be fine by his grace. |

ada87: Hi all ,I am the lady her husband abused physically sometime in September,I would be due God's grace in a week's time,e hasn't bothered reaching out,but I decided to reach out to ask him on two occasions on what contribution he would make regarding the birth of the baby,he read and ignored, now I am confused on what last name I should give the child, because from all indication he has proven he doesn't want to be involved in the child's life, note I still bear my last name cos we did just traditional marriage,if I give his last name won't father's consent be required and won't I be disturbed at the airport when we want to travel?pls I am open to suggestions pls!thanks I would advice you to thread cautiously here because this is a very important and sensitive issue,if not for the consent issues,i would have advised you to go ahead and give your child his last name despite all you wrote above that has transpired between the both of you.I have seen and heard of situations where the man behaved far worse than this and at the end fences were mended ( pls note that, in no way do i condone or support his behavior,in fact i find it totally appalling ) I would still advice that if there is a way to go around the consent issues, pls give the child his last name. I know you are hurting now,but this phase would surely pass i guarantee you. Stay well and be strong. Wish you a safe delivery |

FADEO: Nice one and goodly Favour, This is the kind of POE experience i pray for with DW when we leave in January hopefully.
Just a few question? 1. what hospital is your DW using and which Doctor? 2. 8k dollars declared at the POE will that be good enough to hold as cash for the POE declaration? To your 2nd question. 8k is more than enough to hold as cash to show at POE,with evidence of other funds to support eg credit or debit cards |

Orestik: Hello everyone,
I just started following this post. I have similar issue as @MamaP003 but the difference is that I am yet to travel. I got a visa earlier in August for relaxation purpose with my husband. A month after the interview, I found out I was pregnant so we canceled cos I couldnt travel with my plenty morning sickness and nausea.. At this stage i think the best option is to use the visa for the purpose it was given, but if that's not possible, then I think there is not much you can do again apart from start preparing seriously as in, (forget all that talk of trying to sneak in and looking for doctor and hospital when you get there,it won't work) start by writing the change of intent letter, get Dr & hospital correspondence, hold plenty Dollar when going and be prepared to convince the CBP that you can pay your bills and pray for the best |

He said they got it for conference but using it for vacation was the reason stated.
Is this possible cos am not understanding ?? It is very possible,in so far as they are officials of the Us customs and border patrol agency,Visa can be revoked by them for any reason they deem fit. It is even stated that your visa doesn't grant you entry into the Us,that the final right to enter the Us lies with the CBP office |
