Hi everyone,

My LO arrived on Sunday evening at Oakbend and Dr E was around to take delivery. baby weighed 4.01. I got in on wed with plenty questioning at JFK spent nearly 3hrs, I will advise that husbands that wants to come in after the baby arrival should come with d receipts and change of intent letter if you got the visa for vacation n decided to use for childbirth. I was drilled at some point I was thinking it would be better if they let me go back to my fatherland. Phone was checked, my luggages were searched all because I didn't have any of those receipts and change of intent letter with me. Please let's all be careful and endeavor to travel with whatever docs to prove to them we already made payments. Thanks
Just be doing Thanksgiving. You this woman! God really loves you o.
Firstly,na God save you say you no born for plane, you came in on Sun and had baby on wed, wow!
Secondly,i have heard of people with these same issues you had or even less and were sent back at POE.
Congrats my sis,na God win.

So sorry to hear about your ordeal.
It's very ok to enter your cousni's details, cause you had stated in your previous interview that you have a relation in the us.. Don't worry,it will end in praise this time around.

As I said, dont wait to be asked before you tell them o. That should be your main reason for travelling. Go prepared with Dr & hospital correspondence, budget sheet & co

Hello house, please can anyone assist with notification sample for change of intent. Have searched most of the pages already. Thank you.
This is just a sample, you can edit to suit your purpose .

Dear Sir,
I write to inform you of my intention to use my B1/B2 visa to give birth in the us ,the visa was originally gotten for vacation purpose . We have contacted a doctor and a hospital in the us and both have given us their bills and have agreed to accept us. We have the financial ability to pay our bills. We have also made adequate arrangements for accommodation .I look forward to hearing from you.

Good afternoon all,

Please those who renewed visa thru Dropbox and called for interview, what documents did you take along for the interview?

I have been informed by the embassy that I have to come for interview. I know I am to take all receipts for my daughter's birth. Please what else do I need to take along?

Thanks.
Basically all your receipts, and if you had to send change of intent letter, print out their reply and take with you.
Is this new visa you did drop box for, for missionary journey? If yes, then also prepare as if you are going for a fresh visa interview, with all the works like Dr & hospital correspondence, buget sheet, bank statements, proof of accommodation etc

God bless u for this information. I have tired to tell her I checked online and there was nothing like that but she kept saying anybody can write anything online. Imagine
This plenty drama ontop ticket that you are buying with your money? Simply tell her to refund your money if the ticket had not been bought. But if it had been bought, phone the airline yourself and ask them if you can add baby and cost. That been said, at times its very difficult & expensive to add baby to some class of ticket o! most especially those very cheap tickets,at times cost of adding baby can be as much as the cost of the original ticket self. So shine your eye o

Thanks to u all for your advice am glad to be here.
The us visa was given to us Base on the fact that we want to attend a wedding and the wedding has been shifted that's why I haven't gone if I should send this change of intent letter
will it affect the initial wedding invitation?
The visa was given to me my hubby and my first child
Will the letter affect theirs?
Please oo what king of explanation will I give in the letter?
It's actually my first time of having a US visa
Thanks.
The change of intent letter is just a formality,it's something you will show at POE incase you are asked if you informed the embassy that you were using the visa for child birth, people in similar situations have travelled without been asked, at POE and again some others had been asked,so it's better you have it incase you are asked.
It will not affect the initial wedding invitation, sending the letter doesn't mean that you can't use the visa to enter Yankee again for any other purpose because you have written the change of intent letter, you can use the visa as many times as you wish before it expires,so far you can give a reasonable & convincing explanation for the trip at POE.
The change of intent letter is not suppose to affect your husband and your child's visa.
Tell them the true reason, that the visa was originally gotten for a wedding but that it has been postponed and since you are pregnant you want to use it for child birth, that you have gotten a hospital & a doctor (make sure you get a hospital & a Dr willing to accept you) and that you have the financial resources to take care of the trip i.e hospital & Dr's bill, accommodation etc.
Again, read this thread, the importance can't be over emphasized for anybody going on a missionary journey like you are.

I wasn't pregnant during the interview I got my visa July 2016 I got pregnant October my dd will be 2017 am planning of travelling May 2017 then I will be in my last trimester so my questions are
1. should I go back and declare it before I travel and how?
2. Will I be denied if my Tommy is already big.
Thanks.
I would advice you to get a pen and a jotter and start reading and taking notes, the dept of information you will find here is unequal to non and will help you a great deal.
Thank God you were not pregnant when visa was issued, cause if you were, they might say that you were trying to conceal it that was why you dint volunteer the info.
I would sincerely advice you to send the embassy a change of intent letter (samples are on this forum) You do this by sending the embassy a CHANGE OF INTENT email
I don't think you will be denied because your tommy is big, that's what happens when you are pregnant now?

Hi house I got my US visa last year and travelled with hubby on vacation in November last year. Spent 2 weeks in the US. My Visa expires in July 2017 and my baby is due in June 2017. This is my first. I have relatives in New Jersey where I could stay. I am yet to discuss with them cos I and hubby just started talking about the possibility of giving birth in the US. I need your advice about the Visa expiration and should I still write the embassy about my intent to deliver in the US?
You can still send the letter to the embassy if you like, but i don't think it's absolutely necessary in your case, since you have used the visa for the original purpose it was issued.
Regarding the visa expiration ,the important thing here is that you enter the us before your visa expires. When you are entering at POE it's the duration that the cbp officer stamps you in that matters not the date your visa will expire

Hello house,

My sister, her hubby and daughter went for their interview last week but were refused. They were there with all necessary documents as mentioned on this platform but VO didnt even ask them for anything related to the trip.
She is really disturbed and would like to reapply. Our concerns and hoping our sabi mamas here will help us
1. Should she re-apply with her daughter alone?
2. Do you think she should try abuja or stick to lagos.
3. As regards new president, do you have a suggestion on what she should do differently this time.
4. How long do you think she should wait before she re-applies. She is due in March 2017

please help oh...
She can try reapplying with her daughter alone this time around and let her husband stay behind and act as her tie home.
She can try Abuja .
I don't think the new us president has anything to do with it,she should just reapply
She can reapply immediately, like a week or two after her last interview

You should just prepare your burden of proof as if you chose medical. When you appear before the vo and you are asked what you are going to the us for,you tell him child birth,if you are asked why you filled tourist, tell him it was an oversight

Thank u for the prompt response about my Massachusetts location I have called layhed hospital was told virginal birth 17000 and cs 32000 dollars I almost had an heart attack. Pls the major problem is that I will be travelling with my 30 months daughter and I do not know what to do now. Pls I don't mind an option in Houston an hospital and accommodation for our stay and someone that can help with my daughter while am at at hospital. Also got a cost estimate form at benard hospital in illionois Chicago and has been given a doc dr Charles but no where to stay and no help with my daughter thank u for the help so far
What most people like you that are traveling with their kids and without help do here is that they choose a popular city and a popular accommodation (eg Houston /Elpaso) where there would happen to be other 9ja mamas staying at that same time, some would have had their babies, while others will be waiting,so you can help yourselves I.e. they can look after your baby when you go into labour and vice versa.

Good day great people of this platform. Please, I need some clarifications on how I can send about $2000 from Nigeria to my DW in the US. DW just put to bed via cesarean section, which we never planned for. She has had two uncomplicated vaginal deliveries in the past, but the doctors over there discovered that the baby was in distress and they had to do the CS. However, to the glory of God Almighty, DW and LO are doing great without any form of complications. I was told to do money gram, but the guy I spoke to about it in the bank wasn't so explicit on the procedures. He also said I can't send up to $2000.
Urgent advice needed please. Thanks....
I am assuming it's to settle hospital bill.
Tell her to ask the hospital if they do form A,if they do, then start looking for banks that will do it for you

greetings to all the great sisters! i just arrived in Raleigh, North Carolina. i wonder if any of you can suggest me a good doctor/hospital in this area and also an average estimate of delivery charges? thnx
Shine your eyes very very well in that North Carolina you are in o. A friend had her baby in Charlotte last year and her eyes saw pepper. She went to the hospital before delivery and got a quote, you know those kind quote they give you verbally, but after delivery story changed, to cut the long story short, she ended up with a bill of about $18k, and that was after plenty abeg & discount o,so that's what she is battling with right now with a payment plan. That same birth, would have cost her like $7k max in a place like Houston.
So please shine your eye very well before you commit to any hospital.

Good day house. Please is it better I pay medical bills through Form A or i just accept fate with PTA and black market pple.
A beg advise me ooo
Form A is way better,if your hospital accepts it and you can find a bank to do the transfer,it will be way,way cheaper for you.

My husband as residence and my tommy is visible already. Please my questions are wil I be granted even thou my visit is almost expired 2 what and what shud document is required of my husband 3 wil flight ticket be asked at d interview or fit to fly 4 I've already booked an appointment with doctoresparati in elpaso wil flight take me to El Paso airport directly and do we need statement of account print out at d interview, it's my first really want my husband there with me please what can you really advice me on as am really confused but my husband keep insisting and trusting God we can do it. Thanks so much.
I will attempt to answer some of your questions. But sincerely,i will advise you to get a pen and jotter and start reading from part 1 and taking notes,it will do you a whole load of good if you are sincere about applying.
I'm not too sure of the possibility of you getting a visa from Qatar, since you are on a visitor's visa there, most likely you will be advised to go to your home country to apply (I stand corrected)
Flight ticket is not compulsory for visa interview
Fit to fly is also not compulsory for interview, however doctor and hospital correspondence is needed for interview.
Can't really say about a direct flight to Elpaso,it all depends on your airline/flight itinerary.
Yes, you need to go to the interview with a print out of your account statement.
Bottom line, read this thread very well and put together your burden of proof and apply, by his grace you will share your testimony
