harrassment by the Bank Manager must stop and he must be

daily newspapers. What should i do to bring this man to book?.God bless.

What a donut, you are bold enough to write your name, yet you dont have the balls to write the name of this man raping your fiance? you probably dont deserve her, if you are smart enough to know he is married you should be smart enough to get all these information to his wife- Write to the CBN governor or write to 234next with evidence
and come to think of it, your fiance wont be there if she is really being 'forced' she might be enjoying the new found love- get a molotov and head to the bank, burn the place down!!

Fhemmmy:
yes that is PDP agenda, however, i read on another thread that another popular party has gone as far as saying the Leadership has to come from North and MUSt be a muslim, what a statement.
What about all the Christians in the North . . . . I dont think religion must be a preq to being the president of a nation, this only means we are moving closer to Sharia, if care if care is not taken
maybe next time you should read the statement itself instead of the interpreted version of it

PDP National Chairman Prince Vincent Ogbulafor said the decision was in line with the party's power rotation arrangement.

"We felt that the zoning of the presidency of the party as enshrined in the party’s constitution should be maintained and therefore the zoning arrangement in the constitution should hold for the next four years," said Ogbulafor, who led all members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to the meeting at the Kwara State Governor’s lodge.

“The South has had it for eight years and therefore the North should also hold it for eight years so that we take care of the restiveness in the nation," he added.
The party chairman refused to divulge further details.
Politics › Re: Governors Forum, Dumped Goodluck by DisGuy: 5:25pm On Mar 03, 2010
Analysts say they consider the Ogbulafor-led PDP's declaration about Jonathan and next year's election as superfluous, especially given that Jonathan has not indicated any interest in it. The announcement was hardly surprising, given that Ogbulafor owed a huge debt to Hajia Turai Yar’Adua, who paid for his recent medical trip to India.
bladdddy hell where do these people get their stories from, Nollywood? ? ?

with all the billionaires in Anambra this Proud Igbo man will now be collecting medical expenses from Hajai Turai haba mallam!! to get treated in India of all places - abeg these news stories don dey develop Q leg!!

Politics › Re: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by DisGuy: 4:41pm On Mar 03, 2010
Ikandah:
All this grammar in the criticism directed at the former CBN governor by the incumbent governor is the government business. For we the countrymen, our assessment of the financial issue is based on the impact of any banking policy on the welfare and standard of living of the masses. To drive my point home, during the former's tenure, the people's confidence in the banks was strengthened, banks employed massively and dollar- naira equivalence was moderate. But now, all we experience is the opposite; unbearably massive sacking of bank workers and skyrocketing inflation. We hardly have confidence in any bank again. It's this bank today and who knows which bank becomes the next tomorrow. So this should not call for appraisal or criticism, rather, a concerted effort to move everyone along and the nation forward. God bless all.
people's confidence? there are still thousands of people waiting for their money locked up in the failed banks- and what happened to all those wonder banks under him?

Banks employed massively- charade!

dollar-naira was as a result of high oil price nothing major to do with one person! And i remember he (soludo) said the cbn devalued the currency when the recession kicked in tongue

skyrocketting inflation? lmao no wonder sanusi said many nigerian are financial illeterate!! please show us a graph of the the nations inflation for the past six months
Politics › Re: Sanusi Criticizes Bank Consolidation Exercise by DisGuy: 4:23pm On Mar 03, 2010
Mkpotu:
@biina, the qualifications for both men are not and cannot be placed together. Soludo was appointed CBN governor because of his rich academic qualifications especially in the area of economy as well as his international experiences, besides being onetime economic adviser to the former president which he did creditably well.

But the purported grounds of Sanusi's appointment cannot be academic ofcourse, because he doesnt have any special qualification more than I do, however they pitched the appointment on the grounds that he has been in the banking industry & should have experience , but I still make bold to say that he is an amateur in the industry especially where the grounds of his appointment is on experience. There are several other experienced bankers from the North that would have ordinarily made it as CBN governor.
That aside, I must boldly tell you that the main reason why Sanusi was chosen was because of his RADICAL NATURE, they needed somebody that can be bold & achieve whatever plans unlike politicians like Isa Yuguda who though is more experienced as a banker but may not easily be a good candidate to execute the agenda.
ahh no wonder many nigerians find it difficult to get jobs outsidet he country! its all acade

who are the others from the north that have not been used up by previous government- you cant hide the star for too long!

The chairmen of most banks bailed out in some countries dont have banking qualification they were largely successful until the bust!

so whats this agenda again?
Politics › Re: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by DisGuy: 3:20pm On Mar 03, 2010
Is there any reaction from the opposition party?

frosbel:
My thinking on this is simple. Whatever arrangements have been made between various factions within the PDP is their own business. We DO NOT CARE and it is not constitutionally binding.

All other parties are free to put forward a presidential candidate irrespective of religion and place of origin. That way we can be sure to get the best person for the Job based on merit and not tribe.
This garbage of tribal politics should be binned into the trash can of history.

We need people who have an urgent desire do make a difference in the everyday lives of the Nigerian people.
Ah no wonder the AC put forward Atiku- a muslim northerner who only joined the party a month to the election  cheesy

When we start taking every Alhaji or Mallam as a spokesperson for the North then more confusion for southerners

Responding to some people is a waste of time cos they are not speaking for their region but for themselves!

And why is it that every statetement by northerners are taken more seriously by nigerians especially by the media mainly owned by southerners- they are confusing their own people!!

thanks for the pics

For accommodation, i here many people are doing up their houses for tourist and learning African/European dishes to cater for the surge lol their price should be reasonable

I saw some guy on TV with some sort of tent-hotels looks pretty decent for people not asking for much but for a country with

the best arrangement would be to follow a particular stadium or perhaps a city with a handful stadia nearby instead of following a particular team. That way you can get one base hire a van or car just get tickets to all the games in that stadium

post the picture of the location again @ FBS

Mr Valcke said the world's football authority was trying to work with airline companies to offer tickets, so African fans could travel to the showpiece event, which kicks off in 100 days.

He said 2.3 million tickets had been sold, out of a total of 2.9 million.

A spokesperson for South Africa's home affairs department told the BBC that African fans who could prove they had bought tickets would be given special fee-free visas for the World Cup.

But she stressed that the normal requirements, such as proof of finance, vaccination certificates and a return ticket, would also have to be met.

Mr Valcke added that 10 matches were already sold out and extra tickets were being made available for South Africans, at a lower price.

Other African fans, however, will not benefit from these - the cheapest tickets available to them is $80 (£54) per match.

Mr Valcke also said he was confident all the stadiums, pitches and transport facilities would be ready in time.

More than anything, cut down the myth of "Northern interest" and build a Nigerian interest edifice instead.

Every educated person can see the farce of "Northern interest". If I may ask, interest against what? Did ndu_chucks reply that it is a legitimised expression of bigotry? Are you living with enemies? what in the world is the state governor Timprie* Sylvia doing in the dressing room of the team during the the CAF champions league, just watched on ait how this guy was basically 'motivating' the players at half time; why in the world do they have a coach for then? saw some highlights and you can see the players were over-hyped playing to the 'governors gallery' scored 2 goals then conceded a very cheap penalty on the 89th minute- the mumu governor was the one complaining about the cost of running the clubs some months back now he wants to get some cheap political point- Good thing they good kicked out by the minnows from Chad and another political own goal- He allegedly got served an impeachment notice  tongue

the Directive was for banks to move all their branded atms to within their premises for effective management and security while other firms ATM consortium deploy and manage ATMs on behalf of the banks Leaving the banks to concentrate on atms within their domain and stop congesting public spaces like airports, hotels malls etc
The the atns deployed by the aTMC will be able to serve all or almost all bank users-- that's my understanding of the directive initially issued by Soludo

Your friend is better off to take the job now and start looking for sumthing in Nigeria and if he gets one, he can then move back. One thing about Nigerians that skools in UK is dat once they r done with Masters with no experience, they want to run back thinking they r going to get that six figure job, Good luck to him
Theres usually not enough time to compete for jobs that will extend their visa and secondly competition here is fierce the 'advantage of an 'international degree' is not there and relevant experience is usually non-existant considering most come immediately after completing their first degree; most nigerian student will rather fall back and take advantage of their networks back home if they have any

I think you will need a guarantors form filled in by a Nigerian citizen plus a photocopy of their passport

Don't know about local government letter, as long as you take evidence that you are a Nigerian

I got a replacement passport earlier this month; I just gave them loads of document to make up for the two I didn't take --the local government letter and the photocopy of my guarantors passport

For the interview I was asked what local government I was from ( i don't know)
what local government my dad was from ( i didn't know)
Then he asked what state I was born

Renewing your passport should be easier, go in the morning before 10am

Politics › Re: What Does BBC News Have Against Black Presenters? by DisGuy: 2:26am On Feb 26, 2010
snowdrops:
I think this problem extends beyond the BBC. The BBC is only an example of BEM trying to suceed in government establishments. As i explained above, we have the media in general, police, the mainstream parties, executive positions in the NHS, etc etc.

I agree with you, there are blacks working behind the cameras on the BBC but not as cameramen as you might think but in the canteens serving food and cleaning dishes and as cleaners and security guards. This issue has been put before the BBC on several occasions one i remember clearly on radio 5live drive programme by a former white male BBC presenter who accused the BBC of being racist during an interview with peter Allen.
And there are many white people doing the same all over the country, they dont specifically hire blacks to do the dirty jobs, there are many ethnic minorities in the BBC working as researchers, writers etc etc, where do you think al jazeera, sky news and some other international broadcasters get some of their staff- tehy are not enough but thats the reality, you cant expect institutions like these to change over some years just like that

If you bothered to read my comments above, i pointed out that some of the blame lies with blacks people who had refused to be educated especially amongts the carribean community. However the Asian community is renowned for its keeness on education but we dont see them equally represented on our screen to reflect their percentage in the population.how i wish we cant get access to their records to compare it to national population figures- i remember one senior executive saying the bbc and other stations are going overboard trying too hard to 'represent'

I am saying this from first hand experience in the UK and talking with top ranking civil servants of black and asian descents about the challenges they and their counterparts have and are facing.in the bbc or in UK in general? we all know where we stand in the country and no one expect things to change overnight, the system is more rigid than USA and changes will certainly not happen overnight not especially with thousands of black teenagers foregoing higher education

The solution starts with better education for BEM groups. The UK is a class driven society. Most BEM are in the working class cadre. They need a level playing field to get the most of resources for education right to the university level. This issue of institutional racism needs to be addressed head on. We dont need cynicism from people like you or from the right wing media shouting that its playing the race card. It is real and palpable and denying people of opportunities.
I agree, but i really don't see the government making laws specifically targeting BEM, best they will do is offer more money accessible to EVERYONE and we know what some segment of the BEM do with it , Nike, adiddas, gold tooth, another little addition to the 'family' etc etc

EVERTON stars Yakubu and Joseph Yobo were refused permission to travel to Portugal with the official party for tonight's clash with Sporting Lisbon.

While the rest of the squad left on the official flight, the Nigerian duo were forced to catch a supporters' plane via Amsterdam.

They were not due to arrive until 4am this morning.

A club spokesman tried to play down the problem, with Yobo and Yakubu saying it was purely a technical snag involving relations between Portugal and the African country.

He said: "Yakubu and Yobo have had to travel on a separate flight but will link up with the squad later and train before the match as normal."
maybe they applied late or had to apply from the home country undecided

Yes they are both playing
