The 4m naira is just about 11k dollars. That is
small change in Western countries. Why not invest the money here and over time it grows. You can then afford to travel to Canada, Dubai or anywhere else for leisure, rather than to be just menial worker or even a criminal with all the risks involved. Someone told me that on his first trip abroad to London he saw a security guard in front of a shop and upon a closer look he discovered he was a lecturer he knew at a nigerian university, who left his job to seek so- called greener pastures abroad like OP is planning!

Did he try to engage the security man? I could bet you that, though he might not have the job of his dreams and there might be job unfulfillment, he would be better placed financially than his colleagues still lecturing in Nigeria.
And there is also the comfort of a society that works to a great extent and the better opportunities for his children if they grow up and get education there.
I know a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, who migrated to the US with his family after he won the visa lottery, gave birth to his last two boys there and though he didn't get into medical practice in the US because of the hassles with medical licensure, he admits that over the years his life is better and he has not shown any form of regret so far leaving Nigeria.
Now think about how egoistic doctors can be and this man got to become a consultant surgeon in Nigeria and yet not practicing medicine in the US and possibly defaulting to some menial unprofessional job has not made him depressed. What does that say? Leaving Nigeria and more especially the Nigeria we have now could never be a regret.
Just plan well and take the right path and you'll be fine.

Nigeria finishing second may mean that they may not play Egypt and Cameroon who are likely gonna make it to the Quarter and Semifinals. As those who finish top of group B will definitely follow that hard path as Egypt are top of group A and Cameroon potentially top of their group.

As it stands now. If Nigeria wins the next round, they would be meeting Egypt (that's if they also win their round). They needed to finish top of the table to avoid Egypt till the final but they bungled that.

"99%", that would be an outrageous number. But I do agree a number of pastors are caught up in adultery and it is no surprise how they end up raising an immoral congregation who believe that premarital sex with "your boyfriend/girlfriend" is okay.

I'm going to comment on the bolded section. God has a principle and it doesn't change. When you hurt someone one way or the other, part of your forgiveness routine involves you doing a restitution, which in this case would imply the said pastor going to who he had offended and asking for forgiveness and having a willingness to do whatever is permissible of God to earn that forgiveness. So there is no way he could have gotten forgiven, if he is still denying even having sex with the girl not to talk of rape.

After reading this story, I could smell all shades of diabolism in the said pastor/prophets act.
He specifically needed to know if she was a virgin, I guess he needed a virgin.
Some of these so called pastors are agents of Satan and sons of Belial.

So many people have been responding and commenting on this pastor and the rape allegations.
While some argue that it could be consensual sex gone wrong others maintain it must be rape.
I don't really know the said pastor and how long he has been in the ministry. But the stark truth is that whether it is rape or consensual sex, he has failed as a pastor and a leader. And should resign, and stop bringing the name of the Lord to disrepute.

Selective prosecution is the problem here and that could be seen as a form of witch-hunt, a sledge hammer to cow your opposition into submission.
And that is why, Nigerian politicians have no ideologies. They stand for nothing and hence fall for anything.

If this girl commits suicide, he is to be blamed and that very severely.

The rate of inflation in Nigeria is terrible. If you look back 4 years ago, you would agree the actual inflation is way above what is reported by CBN.
I laugh at those, who claim that removal of subsidy on PMS will only affect the rich who own cars. That is borderline stupidity. Have you ever noticed how there is price hike each time there is fuel scarcity? The prices of PMS has always been the major driver of inflation in Nigeria, until we can produce all our PMS locally, it is gross insensitivity to remove subsidy completely.
