Romanoff: My sister told me they got Donjazzy to do giveaways on the abeg platform. 10k for 10 people.
That's a good way to start. They need to do promos and give incentives to people who download and use the app. They are start up and new to the game..give them time to grow and learn.... overnight success not game but long time |

SocialJustice: The USP of the app makes no sense. It is just a hype product that will die once funding is cut. I do not see why I need a special app just to transfer money out, makes no sense to me and I'm sure most people see it that way too. You are wrong...abeg is just like so many likewise apps in the other countries American cashapp, Swedish swish, Spanish bizum Norway and Denmark vipps & mobilepay even the polish bliz.....even Kenya is using mpesa...why not Nigeria?? Why are we so negative to our own...let them grow...what is the essence of negative rhetorics?? The bank have transfers and well developed bank apps but the other apps are thriving also...Nigeria is huge market |

This is their first major outing....just little over 24hrs....more information about them are rolling out bits by bits....people are skeptical in money things...requires time and scrutiny |

I believe we will sort it hopeful before next weekend. Ok...so what is your solution? Police? Did he ask for variation in fees already negotiated ?..how do you move forward |

diordaves: It MAY not be a good idea to put up the balance to finish the work. This MAY be a classical artisan trap.
Twinskenny said that the contractor said they should be paid the balance arguably to fix a piece of broken equipment to complete the work. Why can't they fix the equipment with the advance payment or from reserve (saved) funds?. This fit be artisan story. The client also said that the contractor demobilized from the site as a result of a broken piece of equipment. This fit be another artisan story.
One of the golden rules of the trade is: if you paid an artisan more than 90% of the fee charged and they come back for the 5% balance BEFORE they can complete the job, alarm bells should start ringing. This is a symptom (sign) of under-quoting. At this stage, the project is already frustrated. Throwing in more money without proper investigation as to the circumstances for the further demand may just be throwing good more after bad.
The dynamics of the borehole trade is this: Borehole drillers (just like oil prospectors) have CAPACITY. So a borehole driller may have a capacity (for example) to drill up to 2meters, or 3mtrs or 100mtrs as the case may be. If you engaged a borehole driller with a capacity (for example) of 5 meters and they drilled at your site to their maximum capacity of 5 meters without hitting water, story don start. Na their way. This is because they quote blindly for jobs without a geological survey to determine the depth of the aquifer at the site. They just assume. Clients also just blindly believe.
So the client and twinskenny should first get hold of the contractor (they said they are in hiding), sit them down to properly investigate the circumstances surrounding their demobilizing from site BEFORE further payment if satisfied that the issue is truly a broken piece of equipment and not a case of under-quoting. They need to establish what equipment was broken, how much to fix it (what if it needs way more than the balance to fix it?). They should be careful not to fall into this trap. Story plenty with artisans. Engage all artisans with your eyes wide open. I feel you and I get it...I am not blind to the facts ... I just want to end long epistles with no meaningful solution... |

festacman: Having worked passionately and tirelessly to promote the aspiration of Billionaire Dr. Godwin Maduka, would Mr. Alex Nwankwo betray his principal and jettison loads of money he is making from him to run for the same position of governorship of Anambra State himself, which he has almost zero chance of winning?
Is it likely that having been left out in the cold by PDP national headquarters through the use a 'strange' list of delegates, Dr. Maduka was left with little option than to seek alternative platform to pursue his governorship aspiration?
Is the SUDDEN emergence of Mr. Alex Nwankwo as governorship candidate of Accord Party more of 'name of Alex but aspiration of Dr. Maduka'? In other words, is Alex Nwankwo a proxy being used by Dr. Maduka to secure a platform and meet INEC guidelines and then at appropriate time, Alex the proxy gives way for Dr. Maduka the real candidate?
For anybody who understands Nigeria politics, it is easy to decipher this Alex Nwankwo's political move on July 1 especially as that day was INEC's deadline for party primary election and submission of candidates. There is a feeling of deja vu here.
Accord Party is that alternative platform for Dr. Maduka. Alex Nwankwo is a bloody proxy. Q.E.D Facts...you are totally right... the next news would be Alex steps down for for his moneybag sponsor maduka....never ending circles of desperation..... |

I understand your emphasis..based on handmade and mass production...mass production are mostly cheaper due to lower overhead because of quantity....not sure it is same criteria with the machine cut and handcut with wood in Nigerian scenario |
