FamilyRe: Is It Normal For A Wife To Ignore Serving Her Husband Food by doofanc: 5:17pm On Mar 28, 2012
chaircover: If she has been the one cooking for the man from the onset, then No it is not normal and it is childish especially as in the next week or so she will be cooking for the same man.

People should learn to deal with their issues maturely. Yes she is annoyed about something (everyone has a right to be angry at their spouse if he/she misbehaves) but the best way is to sit the man down and discuss it like the adults that they are, sort it out and leave it at that.

This is how long term trouble starts; what if after a week her anger goes down and she starts cooking for him, only for the man to refuse her food.

One of my pet hates is childish mind games. It really annoys me.
this is the only post in this thread. The rest are deluded rants of frustrated women.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Bank Paying The Highest Salary For Entry Level by doofanc: 11:36am On Mar 25, 2012
saxywale: correct dear, how much an employee is paid is meant to be strictly confidential, as m sure pay would even vary among the entry level staffs as they would have different levels of qualifications.
Someone working in sales might get more pay than a back office staff. An entry level in Global banking and markets might get more pay than an entry level in Global transactions services. Someone who enters with a MSc. might get paid more than someone with a BSc.
the bolded i believe is quite true. One can already notice the discrepancies in this thread alone.

One poster, apparently authoritative, said first bank is over 200k. Another one said its just 150k.

blank: Don't know about entry level but First Bank is the highest paying bank out there. They will never tell u the truth unless a close family member works there and tells u how much he earns.
Quote me anywhere.
funny i've noticed this myself. Most bank staff i've come across are notoriously secretive about their say packages.

RomanceRe: Why Do Girls Get Aggressive When Caught Cheating? by doofanc: 10:31am On Mar 25, 2012
pro01: Excellent topic. This is so so typical and true. Especially for those girls that had claimed to be virtuous, and played the part to perfection.

Girls hate the fact that you have the audacity to catch them in the act. . .thereby stripping them of the luxury (they are used to) of pretending to be virtuous or moral or loyal or "good" or whatever. They would have preferred that you merely suspected them and voiced out your suspicion (without ever catching them red handed). . .so that they can blackmail you with the typical accusation that you're "insecure", or "immature" or that you committed the mortal sin of not "trusting" them enough. Catching them red handed makes them hate you for not being "secure" enough to allow them be themselves. That's the only reason why they naturally react aggressively to bubble bursting occasions like being caught in the act.

I know them like the back of my palm, trust me on that. For dudes who care to learn, UNDERSTAND THIS: With women, never deem any "good"; no such thing exists. It's only a matter of comparative badness.
CASE CLOSED. No further comment necessary.

hustla: They r professionals dummy!can u write a better review with specs when they got it hands on? And are professionals in the field...
Mumu,ode,asinwin
MY FRIEND STOP BEING SILLY. Most of those reviews are actually taken from blogs or forums (like this). I actually prefer the reviews from forums which gives different shades of opinion, some biased, some not, than the so called professional reviews filled with the usual jargon.

Don't be suprised if you try googling the topic and you see Nairaland coming tops.

BTW, who is a ''professional reviewer?''

kiara11: Damn! i thought i could benefit from this thread but all of u have left me confused.
dnt even know which is best cz they all seem good. undecided
its not every post you pay attention to, that's why you are confused.

Those who just claim my 'phone X' is the best without giving any reason are not very helpful.

Rather pay attention to those who give detailed explanations on why they feel their choice is the best, most of whom i believe know what they're talking about.

And like i said above most seem to be pointing the E-series direction.
PhonesRe: What's The Best Nokia Phone? by doofanc: 8:02am On Mar 25, 2012
Wonderful contributions here guys, keep it up.

From contributions so far, the E-series (E5 particularly) seen to have the best review from you guys. I think i'll go 4 it when i eventually decide to upgrade.

For now i dey manage my C2 :-)
BusinessRe: First Bank ATM Ate My Money. What Should I Do? by doofanc: 8:25am On Mar 24, 2012
What most of you don't understand is that in order to prevent frivolous claims, especially by unscrupulous elements trying to play a fast one, a lot of verification by the bank will have to be done before the transaction is reversed.

Which is why the more specific you are, (time of transaction, receipt collected, etc,)like Odiero rightly said, the quicker the reversal.
BusinessRe: First Bank ATM Ate My Money. What Should I Do? by doofanc: 3:46am On Mar 24, 2012
I think the complain should go to ur (ACcess) bank, not first bank.

Personally, as a rule i try not to withdraw from a different bank's atm. The reason being such errors like you unfortunately experienced are usually rectified a lot quicker if its the same bank.
PhonesRe: MTN Tariff Is So Damn Expensive. Please Recommend A Cheap Network Tariff For Me. by doofanc: 8:46pm On Mar 22, 2012
Airtel is simply the best when it comes to tariffs.

Though i'm not sure of the exact rate now, i think their inter-network is about N13. With just abt N500 in my balance, i talked for close to 45mins to an mtn line.

ronkebp: Thank God my hubby did not pay bride-price, he did but was given back that same night, so technically he does not own me, but we belong to eachother.
this is what we should be advocating. Even if the money is indeed paid just for the sake of the ceremony, i would expect any woman who values her worth to return it then and there.
FamilyRe: Learn To Live With This: Men Owns Women. by doofanc: 4:08pm On Mar 21, 2012
We must do away with that aspect of our culture that advocates PAYMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR A HUMAN.

whether its the man or woman doing the payment is irrelevant.
PoliticsRe: When Was The Last Time You Bought A Newspaper? by doofanc: 12:11am On Mar 18, 2012
Once in a while i do still buy newspapers, esp if i'm about to embark on a long journey. In such cases reading the online version from one's handset can be tiring.

Ibanga p: person wey no get laptop na?
you can also use your handsets. Most banks now have their mobile money platforms. You just need to install and/or configure the phone with the appropriate software.

If the transaction is payment for a good or service, another option is to proceed to your bank and have them wire the funds for you to the vendor's account. First bank already does this. (not sure of others)

you still don't get it. You can still do your day to day transactions provided it's below the daily limit for deposits and withdrawal.. Like i asked a previous poster, how often do you buy DAILY foodstuff worth 150grand?

So if i want to go and buy garri and stuff...if am confuse!
this is where i believe Cbn has not lived up to expectation.. The enlightenment has not been widespread enough, hence the confusion and much of the resistance.

you can actually buy goods worth 10m if the physical cash is availible and the vendor is willing to accept cash.. What the policy states is that as an individual, you can DEPOSIT or WITHDRAW CASH to maximum of 150k. Anything above this attrats a surcharge. And you will agree its not everyday you buy garri worth 150k. Or is it??
BusinessRe: Cash-Less Economy: How Will It Affect You? by doofanc: 3:48pm On Mar 17, 2012
I'm fully in support of the cashless policy. My initial resistance was largely due to ignorance of its workings.

Now i can sit in the comfort of my bedroom, and with just a laptop and internet connection effect cash transactions in seconds that would normally stress the hell of you in the usually overcrowded banking halls.

There are of course teething problems, as it is with most new policies. These will hopefully resolve with time.
TravelRe: Is There Harmattan In Your Area? by doofanc: 1:31pm On Mar 17, 2012
Over here in benue we are also experiencing the harmatan haze, though not as harsh as that of Jan-Feb.

Its surely a welcome relief from the soaring heat of the past few weeks.
