gboss4sure: As they don ban okada for my area, won't police be seizing this one daily and requesting for 5k from me daily, or is this one not okada?i'm not sure this type is involved, because i dey see them well well for Abuja. |
Zenanted: Me wey dey swim 4 stream wats d advice 4me?a flowing stream may actually be better than some of these stagnant swimming pools, which, based on what we've seen above, are no more than glorified petri dishes. |
Ilekokonit: One of the most common illnesses associated with public pools is diarrhea caused by a parasite called Cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidium is found in the intestinal tract of infected humans and animals and is transmitted through the ingestion of fecal matter. This becomes a problem when the fecal matter is in the form of watery diarrhea, which rapidly dissipates in a large pool of water and becomes virtually invisible, says Ashley Lamonte, MPH (Master of Public Health) with the CDC.men all this stuff i dey read is really scary. Added to the bacteria scare is menstrating ladies also taking a dip. . Unfortunuately i luv swimmin a lot. |
hassymo5: if na just pee, i no mind, what of girls wey dey menstrate (blood)..... U enta pool water wit blood from a girls pussy enta ur mouth!!!!this is highly revolting :-@ |
worm: Wow! unbelievable. I am in Kano right now but i only know about this "breaking news" on nairaland. Sporadic gunshots (may be) because JTF usually raid the suspects houses in the night, but 'Artillery Fire' in Kano? NO.i'm also in kano @ d moment (Sabon Gari) & everything looks calm. |
longerone: I read all your posts and smiled, just like earlier mentioned its in all the seasoning Knorr inclusive, it was first discovered more than 100yrs ago in Japan, and Japanese and Chinese use it in all their dishes, yet they live a 100 Yrs+, while you the enlightened Nigerian Knorr user is expected to live less thsn 50YRS.My brother corruption kills you first not any ajinomoto, so lets join together and fight it rather than skylarking and taking easy pot shots at a product used and approved in over 100 countries of the world with offices in same.heh! Heh! No mind them. |
eGuerrilla: 97-man committee to appraise Unity Schoolsif not for the source, i would have thought it was one sick joke! 97 MAN COMMITTEE ![]() ?? na wa o! |
shadrach77: i'm suprised it's still in the market - very dangerous for consumption - it works effectively as a detergent and a bleachwhat i heard was that monosodium glutamate, the active ingredient, was known to cause cancer |
To be fair to Gej, some of the committees have come up with some pretty good recommendations(eg the Danjuma panel. The problem is usually with implementation. But of course a majority of the other committees are simply time wasters |
yuzedo: Lmao! The guy no even catch the sarcasm.did you read the post at all? The guy has a bleeping job, has PLOTS of land, etc. And you Mr grammer what do you have? |
slimchimex: there r ova 3million nigerirn youths dat r jobless, evrybody dey here dey form say dey get good job...abeg who com b d jobless youths....identify urself now..the thread is about ashivments, which joblessless is not. |
As for me, i've get a good job, house |
What exactly this thread suppose to be about again? I would have thought the dimwit who caused the initial derail would modify her post since the error has been correct |
Googler: @lastpageits possible the media aide to the minister was misquoted or it was a typo from Nation newspaper. Whateva the case, it certainly could not been 4:47pm; it happened at least an hour before then. |
lastpage: Now tell me, what do you think the plane was doing, between 3:42pm, when it made its "last contact" with Lagos Radar Control Tower (it was already in Lagos airspace!)......and 4:47pm, when it crashed? (One hour, five minutes!)there is obviously a typho in the article. the crash COULD NOT have happened at 4:47, ie few minutes to five?? Heck, by that time news of the crash had more or less saturated cyberspace. |
ballabriggs: They obey because they know they would be punished if they fail to. It has been embedded in their culture. Go to London on a day the undergrounds are not working and see chaos. I studied auditing in my early days in England, some of the cases we studied were high tech fraud. However, controls are continually being improved to take care of new issues. They had their bad times as a people too but leaders improved the system. Don't come here and talk like their lives has always been perfect as a people.no mind frosbel. His ''they have it coded in them to always do right'' is just too hilarious for words. As someone who has been to sweden (deemed to be a bastion of a corrupt-free society), and currently work with with expatrates, i know such 'honesty coded genes' is a myth.. Fact: those oyinbo can be just as corrupt if given the opportunity. As i said earlier, they chose not to be mainly because of the consequences attached to such actions. |
Biggyd2: I don't exonerate anyone. We are talking about solutions here, right? We are always quick to allude to the whiteman's country and how "perfect" it is. I agree. But i believe that an oyinbo man has the tendency to commit the same evil been perpetrated in Nigeria and more. The only difference is that the laws in their land works whilst it is almost dead here. We still need a leader to lead by example. For example just imagine that 10 of these people in Government that are stealing Nigeria blind are sent to jail, wont the others sit up? And wont the people they are ruling take a cue and fall in line? I believe that when Nigerians get out of this country they obey the laws of other countries. So my suggestion is that we look within us whilst there is time and pick from amongst us someone who loves this country to rule us come 2015. As for me I am tired of the spent horses that have sworn that "they will die fighting whilst serving this country"! I mean the only thing in their CV is that "they have been serving NIgeria"@bolded, you nailed it. one would think the US AND western nations with commendable corruption indices are inhabited by angels and saints. The fact is they have functional laws which can serve as effective deterents because anyone found wanting will face its full weight, irrespective of their status. can the same be said of our dear country? Is it not a case of one set for the poor and another for the rich? The jumping of queue, collecting/giving bribes, and other vices mentioned an OP are merely consequences of a highly dysfunctional system allowed by leadership. Like you rightly observed, the Nigerian who jumps queue back home knows how to behave when he goes abroad. Why? Because there are enforcable consequences, and he knows it. We all have our part to play, there's no doubt about that. But the best and quickest result will be achieved if the anti-corruption drive starts from starts the top. |
Corruption thrives because it is made obscenely profitable by an already corrupt leadership. The moment a credible person (and yes, they are there) gets into power and makes corruption less attractive by ensuring penalties, without fear or favor, are given, and seen to be given, to every infraction, i bet you there will be changes. |
jamace: Leadership is responsibility which should be left to only responsible people. Any one who can not shoulder the demands of leadership should disappear into the crowd.thank you sir! Leadership is NOT for everybody. OP's assertions would have carried more weight if our leaders have always been the ACTUAL wish of the MAJORITY of Nigerian. Anyone not given to sychophacy would know that has NOT been the case. We are in tenacious grip of a merciless cabal whose interests are best protected by ensuring a corruption prone society is maintained. To achieve this, they will do ANYTHING POSSIBLE to make sure they or their ilk always remain in power. |
Almost 6months later. How far with the Bidemi fellow sef, heard he has since been released? |
dafzeedo: how much, i got only 1.2. 07037958085ROTFL!! do some people actually read before posting? |
Well lets see how it goes. . . |
^well you can't blame them. Its possible they've been there b4. No one, and i'm sure including u, would be happy to discover that he/she is being taken 4 a ride, i.e 'tested' . |
As long as he senses there's something to be gained (eg sexx --especially sexx) it will take nothing short of a restraining order to keep him away. I'm guessing he has made considerable investment in the relationship, that could also explain his tenacity. I just hope he's not seeing ur attitude as initial gra-gra. If you really want to show such a person the exit door in clear unequivocal terms, you may have become a 'heartless b1tch.' |
Do you know if they have any branch at abuja? |
