You should be gone already, slow, error-prone, calamitous, daft irritant! How Emery signed this 35-year old spent clown last summer remains a miracle! The guy belongs to the "worst-ever signing" group which includes Djourou, Silvestre, Cygan, Mustafi, Santos, Xhaka, Senderos, Baptista, and many others on whom Wenger wasted precious Arsenal funds... |
Hate or love Tinubu, he has his own faults, but the man is a political colossus! A pragmatic leader and dogged politician. You hear his name all over Nigeria- East, West, North, South. In Nigeria today, he is the only politician who has loyalists all over the country (even among opposition parties). When Ganduje and Kwankwaso fight started, both parties mentioned his name. When Ifeanyi Ubah got elected as Senator under a virtually unknown and new party, YPP, he visited Tinubu. When Nsima Ekere and Akpabio wanted an ally, it was Tinubu. Even Governor Udom Emmmanuel mentioned his name. He attended a burial in Nsukka a few years ago, when PDP still held massive power, and it was so surprising how virtually all the big men and women, in a core Igbo state, wanted to shake his hand! His capacity to find, groom, and develop many followers, too many to count, who eventually attained far higher positions, is yet unseen in Nigeria's political history. No political juggernaut is a saint; even Awolowo who everyone revers in Yorubaland, had his own issues... |
This is the most useless, most stupid news report I have read in a year! The reporter should be flogged and returned to journalism school- more like NUJ in Ikeja- to be trained in Journalism 101. How could any dodgy so-called “stakeholder” complain about the composition of the Board of Directors of MTN, a privately owned company and seek “federal character”? The daft journalist and his sponsors should also complain about the Boards of other private companies such as First Bank Plc/FBN Holdings, GTBank, Access Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Okomu Oil Plc, UBA Plc, Fidelity Bank, UAC Plc, NAHCO Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Cadbury Plc, and so many others almost 100% populated by people from the South West and South East. The report is idiotic, to put it mildly... This daft news report was obviously a sponsored balderdash by some fools! I read it on the front page of ThisDay of yesterday, Sunday, and I shook my head! They had to put the thrash news on the front page! Journalism has gone to the dogs! |
Guys, do you now believe me when I kept on shouting on Nairaland, since last year (even 2 weeks ago), that BOTH Wike and Amaechi made fools out of Rivers state people for a jointly agreed Ikwerre for 16 years agenda, which they have now achieved? BOTH Wike and Amaechi were never in any fight, they used to meet abroad, 'codedly' partying and clicking champagne glasses; it was all an "arranged fight" to ensure that Wike, a fellow Ikwerre man like Amaechi, got an easy 2nd term (with no APC governorship candidate) and also to ensure that Ikwerre must have ruled Rivers State for a whopping 16 years out of the 24 years between 1999 and 2023! So many NR people insulted me to no end when I boldly stated this Wike and Amaechi conspiracy and "fake fight" countless times on this platform. When some of us write, we don't write based on 'news' from newspapers, blogs, facebook, gossip centres, etc... We know what we know... |
Our player, David, who lost our final penalty and made us lose the game spent far more time praying and speaking in tongues as he took the penalty than facing the goal post and concentrating on his kick. He got carried away praying. Interesting and sad. Our excessive emphasis on prayers in Nigeria (and Africa, generally) as substitute for hard-work and focus, is amazing. |
One wonders what Manu Garba teaches these guys in training. They are too, too wasteful, lack passing abilities; and are generally uncoordinated. |
Olusholasimon:Are you watching the game? My comment about Ubani since the beginning of the game has remained unchanged- even in the 83rd minute (with only 7 minutes to play). He (Ubani) is a very useless, selfish player. He has continued to waste chance upon chance when the better choice would have been an easy pass to his team mates for simple tap-in goals! |
When will Ubani ever change? Why seek to score (and eventually miss target) when your team mate is free for a simple tap-in goal? Nothing has changed about these boys managed by Manu Garba! Utterly wasteful... |
Unai Emery simply gave this game away. Any sane Manager wouldn’t have started with Guendozi, Elneny, Jenkinson, and Mustafi! Three of those 4 clowns lack creativity, are so poor, daft, pass sideways and backwards only; and the 4th who ‘donated’ the crucial 2nd goal to Crystal Palace as he always does (Mustafi) is NOT even a football player. Emery left Torreira, Iwobi, and Maitland-Niles on the bench for those fools...Incredible! |
Olusegun! Where did Manu and Nduka Ugbade find this stupidly wasteful boy? I have not seen a more useless forward player in ANY national team as this Olusegun boy. His misses since this tournament started have been out of this world! The Golden Eaglets have been generally wasteful, especially Olusegun and Ayobami; they should have been leading by the score of at least 7-0 so far! Incredible! |
Bawsse:Very true, bro/sis! Not only did he obtain a First Class Accounting degree from University of Glasgow, Scotland, he also passed with distinction his chartered accountancy papers from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Before then, he was one of the best students at Baptist Boys High School (BBHS) Abeokuta. He transmitted his academic and professional brilliance to some of his children I know- Dr. Wura Abiola (Harvard MBA holder and PhD holder too, MD/CEO of a thriving consulting firm in Ikoyi), and Hafsat Abiola-Costello, another Harvard MBA holder and CEO of a Paris-based global NGO. They both had First Class degrees too. Lekan, Tundun, and Jamiu are also first-class brains too! A great man he was! He loved and assisted everyone- Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, Nupe, Bini, Tarok, Jukun, Idoma, Tiv; name it! He built countless mosques and churches; held traditional titles from ALL over Nigeria. We are yet to have his kind in terms of impact, influence, and philanthropy. God bless his soul! |
I repeat the same thing I had written in about four instances on this forum: Wike and Amaechi are very close friends. Forget the fake, open insults and "fights". They have both just smartly executed their mutually beneficial "Ikwerre for 2 terms agenda" and "Ikwerre as Governor of Rivers State for 16 solid years out of 24 years (from 1999 to 2023)", which is an utter domination; while ignorant 'supporters' are killing one another online and offline (in real life). Tonye Cole, Awara, and others have just been used as pawns by BOTH Wike and Amaechi. |
This is no news... Bukola Saraki was born in December 1962. He became Governor of Kwara State at 40 in May 2003. He used to wear a thick moustache and he looked so young and timid at that time (his late father- God bless his soul- practically handed the Governorship to him and even had the majority of his cabinet nominated by him because Bukola knew NOBODY in KWARA at that time) UNTIL: he tasted POWER; when he started his 2nd term in 2007 and tasted additionally intoxicating power at the Federal level as Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) President; and the falcon in him refused to hear the falconer; and greed, arrogance, impudence, impunity, and unbridled, devil-may-care ambition started. And the eventual fall began! Sad! |
The fool from Adamawa is still deluding himself about his fake mandate! The greedy SANs, marabouts (for the ignorant among Atiku supporters “marabout” is another word for babalawo/dibia/juju man; and it was Obasanjo who wrote in his book that Atiku believed so much in marabouts), hangers-on, praise singers, etc are still feeding fat on this Customs Service thief!!! God help the fool called Atiku/Atiku... |
What is new? Drinkwater was charged with drink-driving! The Yoruba people would say "oruko omo lo n r'omo", meaning: "the child's name precedes the child". QED! ![]() |
Hypocrites! If it was a clash between Fulani herdsmen and other people, if it was between Hausas and Southern Kaduna, it will trend on facebook, twitter, instagram, front pages of all major newspapers; Amnesty International will cry blue murder, etc BUT Once it is between Tiv and Jukun, or between Cross River and Ebonyi communities, or among several cult groups in Rivers state, etc, it will be put on an inconsequential page (page 47) in the newspapers! These platforms will go mute! Nigerian journalists and media groups' owners are one of the most irresponsible, religious, and tribal bigots anywhere in the world! |
bentwood85:You are a sick, hate-filled, hypocritical, daft fool! Boko Haram started under Obasanjo in 2003, it became stronger under Jonathan, who denied that it existed until it was too late. So, how did Buhari turn Maiduguri to Boko Haram headquarters? Hate for Buhari will kill you, if it has not already killed 95% of your soul! Sly nincompoop! |
Hate him or like him, Tinubu is a very impactful leader. I listened to VP Osinbajo's opening remarks about Tinubu before his full speech. He said that Tinubu was the first Governor to have a cabinet of technocrats from various states in Nigeria. He said Tinubu appointed people based on competence, no matter where they originated. He listed the following persons: Ben Akabueze (from Anambra state, a foremost banker, who was MD/CEO of NAL Bank before he was made Commissioner for Economic Planning & Budget); Dele Alake (from Ekiti state, who was Editor of Concord, one of Nigeria's leading newspapers, before he was appointed Commissioner of Information & Strategy), Yemi Osinbajo (from Ogun state, who was a Professor of Law and SAN, before he was appointed as Commissioner for Justice); Rauf Aregbesola (from Osun state, who was a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers, FNSE- the highest professional rank of Engineers in Nigeria- before he was appointed Commissioner of Works); Worrey (from Delta state, a foremost architect, who was appointed Commissioner for Lands); Opeyemi Bamidele (from Ekiti state, a young lawyer at the time and National President of NANS, before he was appointed Commissioner for Information), etc. He may have his issues, like every popular politician does, but he has developed a lot of leaders. I read a book written about him by Kehinde Bamigbetan and I fell in love with Tinubu over and over again. The world respects men who follow their convictions, fight, earn, and keep. The world does not talk about perpetual critics who have nothing to offer, who have developed nobody! |
hisexcellency34:Buhari is launching the micro pension scheme at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, today and he asked VP Osinbajo to represent him. The advertorial had been published by several newspapers since last week (and even yesterday). Tinubu's birthday is actually tomorrow, Friday, March 29 (the day previous Colloquiums held in Lagos since 2008), but because of Friday Jum'at prayers by Muslims, and since this is the first time it was held in Abuja, his Annual Bola Tinubu Colloquium was brought forward to today. Fools are the ones saying silly stuffs about 'dumping' or 'use and dump'. Atiku's daft supporters feed on any little thing as though that will change Atiku's loss! The same way they cried when Buhari smashed Jonathan in 2015. Are you clowns going to cry for another 4 years as you did in 2015? |

Very positive! These two (Aisha and Dolapo) have proved on many occasions to have a very strong relationship. They are unlike the pair of Turai Yar’Adua and Patience Jonathan who disliked each other with passion. They couldn’t even hide their enmity on the day Yar’Adua’s corpse was taken to Katsina... |
Typical, so typical. Dele Momodu, Davido's boy, the fat old man (over 60 years old) in a child's body, the "Name Dropper of the Federation" (NDF)! Everybody is his friend ("ore mi o")! He eats with his so-called friends and enemies of his friends, depending on where the biggest money is... |
I'm happy about this tribunal ruling; not because of Adeleke or PDP, but for the fact that it is a lesson to arrogant political godfathers. APC should never have lost the Osun election. Alhaji Moshood Adeoti (popularly called "Shehu"wink, Secretary to Osun State Government (SSG) under Aregbesola for 8 years was aggrieved regarding the APC governorship primary election. He threatened to defect, but Aregbesole ignored him. Eventually, he resigned as SSG and defected to a little-known party, ADP. Some party stalwarts asked Aregbesola to invite him for negotiations, but an arrogant Aregbesola said that he could not beg his own appointee. Eventually, as ADP candidate, Adeoti got over 50,000 votes for ADP, mainly from his home town, Iwo, where he is very popular. If the over 50,000 votes won by Adeoti for ADP was counted, and Adeoti had not defected from APC to ADP, there would never have been any rerun. In fact, APC would have won by almost 50,000 votes because according to the tribunal, PDP's Adeleke won by a few hundred votes! The same thing happened to PDP's Governor Dankwambo is Gombe State! Politicians will never learn! |

Interesting! The IGR of Lagos state would continue to rise as Babjide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor-elect, is an ex-banker (a Treasurer in 3 different banks before he resigned as a DGM to join public sector). Tinubu surely knows how to spot and develop future leaders... |
Tunde Oladunjoye is a smart guy; a true activist in politics, since his time as Local Government Chairman. I liked the way he described loans being taken by the man with the looooong cap, Amosun: "injury time loans"! LOL. Amosun met his equal match within his party, APC. Anti-party activities has a price; Amosun's eyes will become clearer when he resumes as a Senator in June and the party, APC, abandons him. Treacherous clown! |
kingemzy5:Nincompoop who has never gone anywhere beyond his village, this is not Nigeria! Lol. |
Tycike:Correct! The Africell billboard behind her suggests that this may have occurred in The Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Senegal, etc where Africell is one of their main telecommunications companies. Posts such as this should indicate the country of origin so that children of hate wouldn’t start cursing their country, Nigeria, yet again! |
kellyjc:It’s not fake news. The Punch newspaper has reported the story too. |
For honouring your mother publicly, right in the market where she plies her trade, through which she saw you through school, and through your NYSC year, young man, God will honour you! God will enable your mother (and father, if he his alive) to enjoy the fruit of her labour and toil on you!, in sound health and Divine Grace. Amen! |
Anderlis:Human beings! What can a man do to satisfy people? If he had not gone there, people like you would have said that he was "too arrogant", "not concerned about people who voted him", etc. Now, he had gone there, you are still complaining! When PDP's Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, another governor-elect, visited the family of Hon. Olatoye Sugar who was murdered recently in Ibadan, clowns like you hailed him! Hypocrites!!! |
