Hello, Usually there are more reasons to it than just the highlighted if at all. My advice, go to the general UK visa thread, paste your refusal letter (remove personal information before you do so) so people can take a look and advise. How old is your daughter? A minor's application is usually tied to the parent and do not necessarily need travel history. Cheers Ruby105: Please anyone with uk experience, please , good morning house , I want to apply for uk standard 6 month visa with my daughter, 2019 uk refused me a standard tourist visa cause then I wanted to go for a business show, I was refused based on the fact that I haven’t visit any of the third country in the world for the purpose of a business show , after being denied I visited Dubai same 2019 December, and 2021 I visited Rwanda, same 2021 I visited dubai , now I want re - apply to uk with my daughter , but I don’t know if she also needs a travel experience or mine can cover please for I need a professional advice |

Just wondering how people truly decide the uni/ course they end up choosing if they don't know where the modules are. Maybe Nairaland or maybe based on easy fee payment/ installment plans. One year without knowing the modules that's weird. Just added my thoughts on the response you gave the OP skydude: Lol bros but why . Course module always they for ur school site, like say u wan apply for chemical enginering, search d course then scroll down of d course u go see ur course module. Same course with different school fit get discrepancy of the course module so ensure say na the sch own u dey check |

Hello, It depends on the program you are in and the one you want to apply to. Most schools and UKVI will like to see progression. The question is what program are you on and what program are you looking at applying for? Masters to PhD, Yes you can apply within the UK. Masters to another Masters, you have to convince and show progression. Cheers Jenniangel: Please is it possible to apply for another course at the end of my initial program in the UK without having to come back home?
If yes, how do one go about it please? |

Hello, Interesting I see Capita here, worked with them as an NHS contact tracer when the pandemic first started.Lovely place to work Cheers DMainMan: @justwise.
The below is just to tell prospective students about an easy job they can do in the UK. I have noticed that many Nigerian and Indian students PSW visa are been rejected at alarming rate due to exceeding 20hrs of work. Some of these students have no choice than to work above 20hrs because they will immediately be sacked. Some of them solely depend on this income as they borrowed to come. If you work in warehouse jobs, security jobs, kitchen porter jobs e.t.c, you will be given shifts more than 20hrs a week. So everyone, endeavour you have money before coming to the UK so you won't default.
SOLUTION
To resolve this problem, apply to a stay-at-home call centre job. The job is only about 4hrs daily from Monday to Friday, 5pm to 9pm. This is exactly 20hrs. It is very easy as you will just be answering calls. You will have time to focus on your assignment. The job is also a professional job that can be transferred and added to your CV unlike those aforementioned jobs. You should have quiet space to work at home with a strong WIFI connection. Many other telecommunication companies have these opportunities.

Do not work more than 20hrs a week term time as a student. There is no excuse as your PSW visa will be declined

I certainly agree but it is the proving beyond doubt that is the question, there will still be some form of legal documents and he doesn't want court marriage which seems to be the easiest route on our end. But still an option cbn4main: Going by UK immigration laws concerning this, you don't have to be legally married to your partner. It is either you are married or you are in civil partnership with the person. You need to prove such partnership beyond doubts. Speak to experts for more information. |

Hello, No other documents or certificate unfortunately. Your fiancé will probably have to get a visit visa. Engaged is not a legal status, you either have to get married or she gets a visit visa and returns after visiting. Note, if and when you eventually get married you need other proof of relationship so keep your records so you can present them when needed. Cheers bazzyblings: Thanks for responding , no I’m not legally married … I want to go with my wife to be , but I’m not ok with getting married in the court .. and I guess that’s the only way one can carry along a dependent .. so I’m asking now if any other documents or any other certificate can be used instead of the court marriage certificate… as I don’t want to get married in the court |

You will also need to show proof of relationship e.g bills paid together, old and recent pictures etc. You might want to consider a visit visa for your dependant until that situation is sorted. Hello, She can't really claim first time applicant because her details are on the system. She should be able to do a change of name by presenting her divorce certificate and any other documents the NIS request for. It should be pretty straightforward like the process in changing names due to marriage on passport. No idea how long it takes though, the new passport when issued should be effective immediately.Speak with an NIS officer on this. Cheers tosinobikoya49: Good morning brothers and sisters I need to make this urgently enquiry on behalf of my sister she needs a new passport cause the old one is expired and she is now divorced and changing back to the family name. Hello, You don't need to change her passport the marriage certificate and other proof of relationship will suffice Cheers Ibukune: Good day all. Pls my wife's admission to Northumbria came in her maiden name based on the fact that the passport she used for the application was gotten before we married last year. An unconditional offer had also been gotten in that same name, despite the fact that we have our marriage certificate, newspaper publication and affidavit of change of name to a new name. Do i need to change her passport to the new name for further application? Or would the old one work while myself as the husband have a different name on my passport since we intend travelling together (I am d Dependant).
Moreover, won't there be an issue processing my baby's passport with her old name. Thanks. |

Hello I had already dropped my opinion. The UK visit visa was submitted by your agent (a 3rd party) with misrepresentation. You can claim you were unaware of this although you should. You need to come out clean, fill single as your status and write a strong cover letter to clear the issues and hope for a good outcome. This could go either way and whatever the outcome is well you have to deal with it. If you fill your ATAS (yourself) with the same information, you are solidifying this deception. What happens in future when you want to get married? UK or Nigeria? Do you know they can verify divorce certificates? UK and Nigeria as well Again, the responsibility is on you to have checked what the agent filled and refuse that document so pray the consequences are not severe. But it is better to sort this issue now than in future Cheers Ukahh: Pls advise me on what you think is best for me to do... Thanks in anticipation |

Hello, If you go through this route you will complicate things now or in the future. You are lucky you didn't get a ban for misrepresentation during your visit visa application. You need to find out more what your agent filled for you then and come out clean and rectify the issue now.Whatever cover letter to explain the issue/apologize for deception.Hopefully it doesn't affect so much If you continue to cover up this deception it will come to light one day and spoil years of hard work and planning. Cheers Ukahh: Thank you... What if they ask for pictures? |

Hello, So I understood your question at the end of the day. Some churches have the Nigerian coat of arms on their certificate and do not necessarily do a different registry marriage although documents will be filed in court. It is good you want to make her happy, that's the right thing to do as a good man but do so with wisdom. If I can advise, settle in at school and if UK is your Japa destination then try to settle down through other routes i.e PSW or Skilled workers visa after school. You need all the funds you can gather, every visa application requires funds nothing is free. Then plan your vow renewal after 10years of marriage in the UK, that will be worth a party. She can wear her white and do Owambe All the best Ugmama: @justwise, It's good to ask questions cos I never knew that having two marriage certificates is illegal in the UK.
Here in Nigeria, couple do marry traditionally, then proceed to court wedding, then summarize with white wedding. It's a norm here which I thought was OK.
Ladies in particular swear they must do white wedding even after they must have done trad and court wedding.
It's just societal influence and peer pressure, my intent is just to make my wife happy. That's why I asked if it was possible to do white wedding in UK, after we had wedded in court and done traditional rights in Naija.
Thanks for all inputs. We learn, unlearn and relearn! |

Hello, I am trying to understand oh, he approaches registry and says he wants to give notice of marriage and says he is already married in Nigeria but wants to get married again in the UK. Do they marry people that are married when it is not vow renewal? If so he/she might need to present divorce or death certificate according to this link though To the OP, this link might be worth a read: https://www.gov.uk/marriages-civil-partnerships/documents-youll-need-to-give-noticeBourne007: Nothing suspicious about this. If the funds are there and If white wedding makes your wife happy with your support, go for it.

Hello, But she is applying as your dependant right? And the status shows married? The white wedding you want to do here is the same as the court wedding you have done. Are you getting married twice? You can't have 2 marriage certificates. I am as confused as others are Cheers Ugmama: Wifey wants a white wedding. Then I am asking if we can do that when we get to UK because now na money I dey gather for my school.
Na court and trad we Don do for now |
