Funny I know someone and I hope the person shares his story He was recently denied PSW he worked above 20hrs when he first arrived and tried to stick to 20hrs towards the end thinking it is safe. Man's already thinking of going back to reapply for another masters.I asked him to share his story here so people can learn. I hope he does Rules are rules for a purpose, online and offline. These people can get any record they want. humblemoi: You are right, it is classed as self-employment and the person should be looking to do a self-assessment to pay tax. Again, while some people may get away with it, others may not.
Best to play it safe always.. |

Hello, With the provisional license you can't use your international (Nigerian) driver's license anymore, it replaces it. You can't have 2 types of licenses being used at the same time (UK frowns at things like this, it feels like trying to outsmart the system and that's not good) Make sure you don't break the rules and drive alone, if you are caught it's a big issue Cheers AmadeusCho: Thanks for the response I already have a uk provisional license and currently using that to drive, the only issue with using the provisional is someone with a UK driving license has to always be with you in the car |

Hello, My opinion, land documents is not a strong home tie because this can easily be sold, Family and Businesses/Jobs are stronger ties. Besides what is your relationship with the owner of the land? Presenting a deed of gift shortly before applying for a UK visit visa seems all too sudden. Talk about your situation abit more, are you working or have a business? Is you finances clear and can you sponsor your trip? No-one can tell you what the ECO will accept or not. My opinion again, others will advise Cheers 9ine1one: Congrats to everyone ...pls leave a word of advice for me ... I have a land doc that doesn't carry my name I intend to use this property as a home tie, can I draft a "Deed of gift" letter notarise it. in my name and attach to it? Can it be accepted by the ECO ...what are my options |

Hello, You need to have an insurance and ensure the car you use is taxed and has MOT. An extra set of questions: Can you drive right hand? Do you know the UK road signs and rules? I ask because driving in the UK is not the same with Nigeria, if your answers are No to those questions then I will advise you to take your time and learn/unlearn/relearn Cheers AmadeusCho: Hi, I have read that I can use my Nigerian driving license in the uk for upto 12 month I just want confirm if there is anything I need to do before I start using it to drive |

Hello It is entirely your choice. Marriage certificate and proof of relationship/marriage is more important than changing names on passport. Cheers Damdad: Good evening all, please I need your advice . My name currently is Mrs Dada (my husband is late). I am planning to go to Uk via the study route . The person I’m with at the moment with the plan to marry next month is ogundipe (surname ). Is it okay to still use Mrs dada on my international passport as I’m about to renew it ? |

Hello,
That section means if you have a change of name different from what you have on your certificate/documents.
Are the discrepancies totally different from each other? Do you have a Paul on your certificate and now called John??
That's your cue.

Congratulations, Coventry is flexible but it's not forever, I still keep in touch with staff working in the International Office from time to time. The good thing is that you were smart enough to keep paying before the next instalment so you hit the target Some people will literally take paying small small verbatim and it doesn't work that way that's why I disagreed Anyway Congratulations on your graduation. Hope you enjoyed the school like i did in 2019. Cheers UKschool: Yeah
That is the payment plan on paper and in emails I received too.
But I just said what I DID. I graduated few days ago.
If you keep paying your tuition consistently each month as you raise funds, you will still make it through school.
My classmate - a close friend did not graduate because she had pending funds to clear.
A couple of schools in the west midlands allows this though not on paper.
Work hard and study hard-Yes you can. |

I’ve decided to be strong, a lot of women put to bed and go back to work, I believe I can do it. Hello, Duchess is female oh Anyway, my advise was specifically for Cranfield Uni, it's literally countryside (in the middle of nowhere if I can use my words) and not easy to get a job unless you work with the school recruitment team,(quite difficult to get jobs/shifts). So my advise was to live and possibly work in one of the closest towns Bedford or Milton Keynes. This may or may not apply to other Universities. Cheers Manwarrior55: Hey bro. Just learning from the posts here.
Please explain further
Are you saying if one stays in campus it maybe hard to get jobs ?
Does the count for other cities as well? |

Hello, Cranfield is a very intense Uni with lots of industry connection. Accept the offer, ensure no outstanding documents, pay the deposit , get your CAS and apply for your visa. My advice,do not stay on campus, target Bedford or Milton Keynes area (although Bedford is cheaper) so you can work if you intend to. Let me know if you need help Cheers angel4sure: Helo friends, I just got an offer of admission in Cranfield university Uk for my masters and I am to accept the offer before 31st of may 2022. Hello, I disagree at the bolded, every Uni has a payment plan including Coventry. If people pay as they are able to,most universities will shutdown. Anyway, here is a screenshot to guide Cheers UKschool: Coventry
If you have certificate, you are good to go. They also accept student copy of transcript when necessary
Their deposit is 4k, but note that you need to pay another 4k by September when you arrive for enrolment, after that you start paying deposits in instalments as you are able until you graduate.

Hello I would advise to send a paid mail to UKVI and confirm if a decision has been made. Ideally, you get an IHS refund if your application has been refused but don't draw conclusions yet and don't touch it incase it was a technical error and a link is sent back to pay. If you search the thread you will see the link to send the email Good luck Menab: Hi gurus, A dependant application was submitted and biometrics done since Feb 21.. Hello, You have a baby due in July and plan to go for masters in September ( barely 3months), have you considered January 2023 admissions? That will give you time with your baby, heal from child birth, ensure you have help and support from your loved ones and sort out passport issues. I know we want to Japa but consider your little baby please. My advise target January 2023 Cheers bidemib: Hi everyone
I plan to apply to schools in the UK, (Middlesex, Sunderland, Coventry, etc) for September this year. My main problem is my NIN, which I’ll use to process my passport.
I got married and need to change my name, in order to process my passport and then apply to schools and then visa. I’ve registered for change of name at NIMC for over 3 weeks now and I’ve gone back several times, sent emails to the email addresses provided, I’ve called to no avail. I need help! Any one have any contact that I can use to find out about my NIN?
I know passport takes a while to be processed, which is why I’m scared at how long the NIN is taking. Will I still be able to meet up?
Also, I plan to go with my husband and 1yr old baby... and baby on the way (which is due in July). For my POF, and healthy insurance, Will the babies pay the same amount with the adults?
Will the babies have to do TB test? I know it’s about $60 for children under 11, but a less than 1yr old?
How do I apply for a visa for a baby that isn’t here yet, but will be here by the time I’m traveling?
I’m honestly confused. Help |

Hello Yes all dependants regardless of the age will pay the same amount. If you have used the checker then you are correct Regards ifemitehi: Hello all,
Please i need clarification on the information below,
("3. IHS cost: Currently £470 for each year of your course plus £235 for the extra 4-6 months granted in addition to the duration of your course. Calculate how much your IHS will cost here: https://www.immigration-health-surcharge.service.gov.uk/checker/type")
MY QUESTION: My Dependants and I will be paying 1,175 each (including children that are under 18) when i used the checker. Could this be right? Are the dependant below 18 paying the same amount as the main applicant? |

Hello, Yes , they can The chances are the same as any regular dependant visa. When you decide to apply and travel with your kids is solely your decision it doesn't affect visa application. When its time put in the right documents. Regards Susdiv: Good day everybody. Please, can the main applicant and spouse leave behind their two Kids and travel to the UK then one of come back later (like six months time) to carry the two Kids?
What are the chances of the children getting the visa when their parents is already in the UK?
PS. The parents are considering this options because of finance.
Thanks as I wait your responses |

Hello, Don't be in a hurry to put in application without tidying your end. Again, regardless of who sponsors or invites you the Home office will also look into your personal situation and confirm you have strong ties and that you are not flight risks and will return at the end of your visit. I had advised earlier to post this in the visit visa section so you can get more advise At the moment, you have an unregistered business, and have personal account with unexplained funds. That is a recipe for disaster. I will advise you go to the thread, learn alot about what you need to do and give yourself time to get it right. It is better than getting a refusal. Cheers Simran94 post=111413953: I have a business that I do, gadget importation. I use my personal account for transactions that run in half a million naira to millions of naira every month. I don’t have a CAC though or a Business account, that’s the issue. My sister is taking care of all expenses though but the issue is using my personal account for my statement of account |
