Kay 17: Your words:Now you are slowly picking it. You will soon get there. Let me help you a bit. A god is simply something or someone you believe has total lordship and control over your life. Michael jackson for some people is God. They worship him. From history, some kings and rulers where deity or god. Like in the Egyptian, roman and persian empires. So a god is someone you submit total lordship of your life to. So yes, a man can be his own god. This concept isn't new really. It was first muted by Nimrod and was propagated by the greeks. the bible teaches it will be propagated in the last days. |
Kay 17: This is the most insightful, intellectually rich, lexical discovery on Nairaland. You obviuosly didn't understand my post. please read it again and carefully this time. I didn't say Atheism is lack of belief in something. I actually said there is nothing like that. |
Actually atheism is a deception. There is nothing like a non-believer. Everyone believes in something. A man that says he doesn't believe in God is simply saying he is his own god. So in the real sense there is nothing like atheism. You see, these things are coined by the devil to deceive men. That is what was prophesied in the book of revelation. The number 666 is actually talking about a system coming where man will declare that he is his own god. That is what is being spread by hiphop artists around. Hiphop is founded on the principle that man doesn't need god since he is his own god. The biggest deception of the devil is the concept of neutrality. And it is very dangerous. Why? Because neutrality doesn't exist. The universe does not support the concept of neutrality. You must belong somewhere. |
cap28: the americans are only interested in world wide domination - thats why their military budget is $1 trillion dollars a year, ask yourself why they spend this kind of crazy money when their economy is in the toilet. They along with Russia have the power to destroy human civilisation as we know it because they have thousands of nuclear weapons that can destroy the world, their power lies in brute force and they use their brute force to control and take over countries that are not doing their bidding, so why would they care about a so called terrorist group in nigeria - there is a hidden agenda which many nigerians still have not figured out, nigerians need to wake up and stop fooling themselves that america cares about their welfare. Why are you so frantic? I see you running all over the thread. Are you a BH supporter? I am tempted to believe you are. most Nigerians will be glad to have America colonize them right now. So what's your problem and this your gospel of doom? Lemme show you a few examples of countries that where colonized long enough: Singapore, India, South Africa and other with American presence: Saudi Arabia, kuwait. Do those look like terrible countries to live in? Nah! I will take those over these crap arrangement we have here. Only BH members and supporters like you have stuff to fear! |
Wow! This is finally happening!!! The drones are here!!! Watch your back BH lovers. Yeah you! Hahahahaha! |
EPOMA: The only time I will know Goodluck has ball will be when he sacks Allison, people that boldly say they truth are are out and the ones like Otedola remains. I just hate this governmentGEJ has nothing to prove to you or anyone. So if you think he should sack someone just because you don't like them, you are a Arrow! And what do you know is the truth? Are you privy to inside information or what? Stop spewing garbage! Of course you hate this government. You hated it even before it was sworn in, so it makes no difference. Run along now! |
kiyosaki1: We are trying to settle one and you want start another one remember the Chinese proverb that says war do not determined who is right but who is left but let me ask you are don't you have a better thing to engaged your spare time with mind you I'm just curious no offence meantHe was responding to my post. Howz that your problem? You are afraid of war? Don't you know we are already at war? A cold war? Let's get it on! No holds barred! |
PROUD-IGBO:We are going to engage them now. They think they are smart but they are seriously mistaken. We will run them down and out. Watch this space! |
I am now convinced of what someone has been saying that BH members and supporters have infiltrated Internet sites like NL to spread falsehood and propaganda in favour of their agenda. Now this is not funny and is not sarcasm. This is very serious. From the comments on this thread and others, it is evident some people posting are BH members and/or supporters. Security forces need to look into it, seriously. It is also clear now that BH fight is about 2 things: 1. Return the power back to the core north and 2. Return the power back to a muslim. This has always been the fight in Nigeria since the 60s anyway. This is also the main fight in the southwest. It has always been Muslims vs Christians. The Muslims are never comfortable anytime power changes hands. Same way the core north has never been comfortable if they are not in power. This is the reason why we must renegotiate this union. It is totally flawed. Someone rightly said Nigeria will not move forward as long as the north's only business is government. The agenda for BH is simple and clear. Make the country ungovernable for GEJ. This is not only via bombings but also via propaganda like you see here on NL. The method to use here is, discredit anything GEJ. Make every action look bad. Fight him on every turn. Use the judiciary, the legislature and any org that can be infiltrated and used. This is what Azazi was talking about. Like GEJ said yesterday, it is unfortunate that everything is politicised. But that is the "ungovernable" agenda. All over the world, when there is a national crisis like we have in Nigeria, all the political parties come together as one to fight and move the country forward. But as you can see, the opposition parties in Nigeria try to use it to score cheap points. They aid and abet it. They will even join in destroying the country just to score cheap points. But they have made a very big mistake. Their own strategies is what will bury them. They are only making GEJ stronger each day. When a man survives like GEJ in the face of this kind of onslaught, he emerges with some level of invinsibility. |

Tambuwal is such an id1ot! He will end up like Salisu buhari. You cannot take on a sitting president. Check your history. Except in cases where the president's party is not the dominant party. The people trying to use him will dump him when the fire gets really hot. And he doesn't have the support of the people. So he is heading for the gallows. The guys a f00l. He will be impeached soon. He forgot, he only emerged as speaker because of the anger of the southeast that the speaker was not zoned to them. The same intrigue that brought him in, will kick him out very soon. |
Olaolufred: Like they blabbed in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya etal.Go and read about Egypt, Tunisia, Libya before comparing it to this forced marriage called Nigeria. Like I said before, get a life! |
dadde: This is the height of poverty in the land. when government fail in their responsibilities, it gives room for terrorist to take advantage of the situation.Which government? Was it not their own people that ruled for over 40years. Who do you think you are fooling? Did their poverty start a year ago? They are their own problem. They are not the only poor people in the world. Some of the poorest people in the world are in China. Do you hear them throwing bombs? Nonsense! |
Olaolufred: We are getting close to that if there is no change. You are nothing but a blabbing prophet of doom! The only thing ticking is your ignorance. Get a life! |
Kobojunkie: [size=14pt]ITS A BIG FAT LIE!!! Trying to grandstand again, abi? That there is increase in BH attacks is neither a sign of success or failure. Failure or success is not an event, it is a process. Only appreciable time will judge if the last 2 years has been sucessful or a failure. Like the other lad said above, this is home grown terrorism, not just some external attacks. it takes time to put in place all that is required to tackle the menace. These include socio-cultural resources, not just guns and policemen. The securityy agencies require completely new structures and knowledge and training to handle this and considering we are talking about a fifty year mess of a country, that's asking a lot in so short a time. If you are one of those who think stopping BH is so easy, then you have no clue really. Americans could not stop suicide attacks in IRAQ in all their donkey long years there even with the full support and participation of the IRAQI government. The simple reason was that it is a home grown terrorism fuelled by the socio-political divides in the country. America does not have that kind of situation back at home. The last 2 years have been a total rebuilding of our security forces and it will take a while for things to become really appreciable. I never dreamt that one day, there will be no policemen on the road collecting bribe, but now, we are there. So I will keep having faith! |
Olaolufred: Thanks Uzomagic.I see your point then. Just the way insecurity has destroyed MTN, Etisalat, DSTV, Chivita, Heinekein, Alomo bitters, Shoprite, IBTC, etc. Ok I get it. You must be a genius. Ouch! |
Kobojunkie: Like I said . . . I skipped the inane in your stupid retort. AlQuaeda exist in most every country in the world today. However, it only seems to thrive mostly in countries where the leaders remain in an UNSURE state, and most of these are the war torn countries. My friend, you don't ever argue intelligently, why? You always grandstand and try to take this "superior" posture like you know what you are saying. Maybe it is a tactics, I don't know. Or maybe its just plain deception or ignorance, time will tell. That there is increase in BH attacks is neither a sign of success or failure. Failure or success is not an event, it is a process. Sweetlemon: Ahn ahn are u male or female? Its called sarcasm, baby, sarcasm! Am glad am not female o! Who would have taken care of all these females around me. Would have been a disaster. Lol! |
Demdem: ^^^I never expected an ACN supporter and MAU student like you to understand the meaning of the word sarcasm. And true to your name, you didn't disappoint! All hail Demdem, the son of a retardeen! |
PresGEJ: God bless you, femmy2010. And you're even an Ngabti man.My guy, whoever you are, you be real id1ot. You wan use laugh give me miscarriage! ROTFL! |
ogugua88: ^^^ Na to punish you remain. Lol.Will gladly kneel down, hands up, close my eyes, take off my boxers and collect the 24 lashes without mentioning pem! Anything for an African queen. "...Winking my eyes uncontrollably" |
ogugua88: Firstly, I'm a female, like Sweetlemon. Secondly, I value human life over business. I guess that's a flaw of mine. Maybe you can sleep comfortably despite the bombings and gun battles because Brazilians are coming to Nigeria. Well I can't. Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and wherever else. We're all related as Nigerians. Every innocent life lost is a loss too many. Enough is enough with BH. Business can surely wait.Haaaaaaa! 2 sweet sisters accuse me of calling them bro in just one morning, I am in deep sh!!! I apologise oh! @sweetlemon and @ogugua88. I no dey for woman palaver. Who I go toast for inside the 2 sef. I no be player, so I no fit double toast! Meanwhile @sweetlemon, you just said I was right and wrong but didn't point where I was wrong exactly. Damn! How could I really not spot it from her name?! |
ogugua88: I'm not rubbishing anything. If there's anything that's reeking like rubbish, it's the fact that you or anyone else can find good in a president flying 6,000+ miles to South America when there is daily bloodshed less than 125 miles from the FCT, his home.Ok I see your anger bro. You are happy BH is making the country ungovernable but angry GEJ has choosing not to focus all attention on BH. I get your drift. Sorry, he will not focus all attention on BH because Nigeria has a myriad of issues to deal with. Over 50 years of degradation and decay. It requires the presidents full attention and focusing all attention in fighting BH will take us down the drain finally. Let him fix infrastructure. The worst case scenario is that the BH saga will disintegrate the country and that wouldn't be a bad thing. |
The judge is a f00l. No state governor will sign such a death warrant! |
ogugua88: If Nigerians aren't willing to invest in Nigeria, then I don't care about anyone else investing. As far as I'm concerned, those foreigners are killing us. Indomie? Junk, as if we weren't hypertensive already. Chivita? Juice, first-class ticket to diabetes. MTN, isn't that the same network Nigerians complain of day in and day out? Nigerians are like moths attracted to light when they hear the word "foreign" or the phrase "from abroad". Be weary.Did you swore an oath to be negative all your life or what? Why do you choose to rubbish everything good just to score a cheap point! Those companies are doing well and you can't deny that. Please don't give us that crap about Nigerian diaspora coming home to invest. Nigerian disapora are bottlers not heroes. (Of course, not all of them. Some went to school there). They are Nigerians who got out of the kitchen because they couldn't stand the heat. Many of them can hardly take care of themselves out there let alone come and invest. Do you know the kind of investment we are talking about? Those who have that kind of money will not sit somewhere in Europe or US or Asia. |
Sweetlemon: Ok, fine! what an intelligent post! But let me ask you this question, who EXACTLY are the people benefiting from all these investment? Ordinary Nigerians like You and me? how has all these investments increased our employment rate? How has it reduced the poverty rate over the years? Can't you see? Nigeria's wealth is ONLY for a selected few. Just a few selected people! The rest of us are being taken advantage of and being made to pay for what they enjoy. Thanks to our corrupt leaders. |

Nigeria's wealth is ONLY for a selected few. Just a few selected people! The rest of us are being taken advantage of and being made to pay for what they enjoy. Thanks to our corrupt leaders. My dear brother, I live in Lagos, not in Thailand or Malaysia or Belgium. I see people everyday in Nigeria go from zero to millionaires. The woman selling food at my street junction is building a house somewhere in the outskirts of Lagos. I have never bought that crap report that says Nigerians live on 2 dollar per day. It was cooked up by NGO's who want to use it to scam wetsern nations for donations. I have worked with Nigerian NGOs and I know what they do. I repeat again, Nigeria is a gold mine. The vulcanizer on my street has a half plot with his own house somwhere around akute in Ogun state. He makes at least 3000 every day. A keke napep guy makes on an average, 5000 naira per day. Much more than a regular bank staff. The people who really suffer in Nigeria are young graduates who are too proud to harness opportunities around them and the very very poor who cannot afford money to start a small business. But even small cooperatives exist everywhere that came provide small loans. Jesus said in the bible that "the poor you will always have with you". That is why there are poor people all over America and Europe and don't even mention China and indian. Nigeria has her many problems, but that doesn't stop it from being an investors gold mine. |
Sweetlemon: You dont get it do you, you acnnot be bringing in investors into a country that has no security or electricity. It just will not go far. You have to do first things firstAre there not investors here and are they not doing well? Why do you guys like to peddle lies and falsehood? MTN, Etisalat, Airtel, Shoprite, DSTV, Startimes, Chivita, Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chattered, Bigtreat, Nestle, etc are many examples of investments that are doing well. So which first thing are you talking about. |
I have just realised that the problem with NL is that many of the posters here are living in diaspora. They keep saying investors will not come to Nigeria because of security issues and power and that if they come, they will see the situation and relocate somewhere else. This is what I call "ignorance on rampage". Nigeria is among the top 10 hottest countries to invest in the world. If you don't know that, then I feel sorry for you. Investors are pouring into Nigeria in their droves and they are making it big. Now I see why they are making it. It is because Nigerians can't see beyond their nose and go around bad mouthing themselves instead of taking advantage of the opportunities available. I fear for our future generation because by next year, when the power privatisation is complete and power becomes more stable, many of our core industries will be controlled by foreigners. Reason is that these foreigners are already on the ground as we speak and investing madly. Do you know Chi, the makers of chivita, now runs a large farm in oyo state. They now produce large portion of their fruit juice from their Nigerian farm. Do you know MTN is now about the biggest telecoms firm in Africa? They attained that solely because of Nigeria's patronage. Airtel and Etisalat are also enjoying big growth, thanks to Nigeria market. This is all in the face of BH and poor power supply. So I wonder where they will be when we attain constant power supply. Nigeria is an investor's gold mine. F00ls come to this forum and say crap. They have no clue what investment opportunities are all about. I can bet some of them posting here are yahoo boys and fraudsters. To suggest that there should be no investment drive because of boko Aram is very stup1d! That is like fast tracking the success of BH. That is exactly what they want and am happy GEJ has refused to hand it to them. They want us to do nothing but come to a halt. They want us to stop making any kind of progress and focus all attention on them. Then they would win. I am tempted to believe some people posting here are BH supporters. Only a BH supporter will advocate that we stop making progress as a nation and pu all our attention on BH. |
Babzilla: Poor Brazilians they dont have a clue what may befall them by investing in this cesspit. They risk getting bombed, robbed, kidnapped or crashing in an airplane. they need 2 understand that to invest in Nigeria the 1st step is to carry out a life insurance policy. You mean like what befell MTN and Etisalat abi? I would really love that kind of thing to befall me bro! This "cesspit" has turned MTN into one of the biggest organisations in Africa, so much so that they are thinking of sponsoring the EPL. And in 2004 when I was in SA, MTN where just like multilinks or ZOOM. The CEO of vodacom in SA was eventually fired for thinking like you. Think about that! |
alj harem: About time, welcome development. Ride on FasholaI guess a leopard can't change its skin. I have to give it to you. ACN is in ur blood. You just have to campaign for them by hook or crook, even if you have to distort the facts. I get it! I get it! |
boladez: I can stick out my neck for Lagos state because they seem to be the most organised public system in Africa. I am certain Lagos state is not aware that the lousy FGN civil servants have planned to shut the bridge without adequate information and notice. I am sure the LASG will issue a statement and guidelines on the maintenance. Most likely the date will be postponed and LASG will do the right thing to think of ways of mitigating the inconvenience. The last time they planned to shut down the Adekunle portion of the bridge Lagos state had to postpone it and deployed resources to ease traffic flow. Its too early to campaign bro. 2015 is still very far away. Save your energy. 2014 will be a good time to start. And a piece of advise. Don't ever stick out you neck too much for LASG when you are in places like Alimosho, badagry, ikorodu or Lekki. You could be lynched! |
