Music/Radio › Re: Songs On Scamming Should Be Banned! by eldee(m): 12:29am On Sep 26, 2008
LASIEFAIRE:
Every right we enjoy has it limits. Freedom to vote is limited by age and criminal record. Freedom of expression is also limited in event someone expresses his/herself in such a way that it creates a false perception of a country, business or individual (Slander, Defamation, false light), or its causes abuse, or perceive to create violence, such individuals freedom can be limited.
Furthermore, that is why the censorship board was created, for issues like this.

No one is saying ban a genre. Also many Gangster rap songs never make it to the main stream because they are cut.
Now you see where you're getting it wrong
Slander is 'All Nigerians are scammers', freedom of speech is 'Maga don pay' or 'Omo if I hammer, first thing na hummer'
These guys are just taking advantage of the situation in the country . . . and is that not what the music business is all about??

The simple thing is . . . instead of attacking musicians that are taking advantage of the crime . . . why not attack the crime itself??

And you said gangsta music is banned?? nah . . . sum words are censored cus of their directness, every song has a chance to top the charts in the US
Hence the term 'radio friendly'
Go try out songs from Rick Ross . . . why's G-Unit still on MTV?? . . . or is 'Wanksta' not bad for the image of the US??
But there's a right to speech . . . c'mon it's the 21st century, the problem begins when he says sumn bout the contry itself or other pple

Well, I would possibly have given your opinion SLIGHTLY more weight, had you not thought
“when an unknown collection of Africans… are looking to move in the North West of England.”

North WESThuh

And as a fan, I’d just like to say that I don’t care WHERE the owner(s) are from. If they can turn the club around, put some money in and appoint a decent manager, that’ll do me. What we need is a manager - and sooner rather than later.

Football is a global business; the assumption — and while I don’t think you made it, others have — that Nigerians aren’t capable of putting together the money, or of running a football club well smacks somewhat of racism. After all, we’ve had the Americans, the Russians, the Thais, the Egyptians, and even the English, so why not the Nigerians?

JackP Says:
September 24th, 2008 at 12:52 pm

…ah, you’ve corrected that now

the messiah Says:

well said jackp totally agree with you there mate, this guy who wrote this doesnt know what hes talking about! maybe mike ashley should hire him in his next venture? lol

John Stepps Says:
September 24th, 2008 at 3:40 pm

What has being African got to do with running Newcastle. You are happy to have African players but not owners. Mate this is the 21st century, a global world where the best strives. Get off your high horse and feel the wind blowing. The money is not in Europe anymore the developing nations have the money so allow them to splash it where they want, after all the group that bought Man City only is made up of a group of business men fronted by One man.

If the Nigerians can come up with a better strategy than Ashley then good for them if not they will sell it up in future for another management group. Football is business “simple as that”.

So In future think about your arguement before posting it. Being African does not mean failure after all majority of the best players in Europe are of Africa Descent and yourself might even be African if you check your DNA.

Good luck to Geordies, from a true GOONER.

this article really hurts me especially since i have been a loyal 101greatgoals reader for years. I really hate the fact the whole premise of the article is to make seem gloom and doom that a bunch of Africans are buying our \

Dash Says:
September 25th, 2008 at 4:19 am

Hey mate, if you don\’t know the name of potential buyer(s) of NFC that doesn\’t mean these guys are bunch of no-name Nigerians. Anyway, did you know the name of new owner(s) of Man city before they bought the club? Who one knew Abrahmovic of Chelsea before?

I think you have your own hidden agenda on this!!! I think what is important for NFC right now is to have a proper owner who is more dedicated than people of your choice, the rest willl be blah blah with sour grapes inside! It\’s time to think by using your head and not your mouth!

All the best NFC in these testing times.

This blog should be removed or at least changed, it seems that it stresses the fact that these men are nigerian than them not knowing much about football. Did the owners of man city or chelsea have previous experience in football? did the yanks at man utd or liverpool know much about football? i don't think so, i don't think the article would have been written like this if the bidders were yanks. shameful

Music/Radio › Re: Songs On Scamming Should Be Banned! by eldee(m): 8:28am On Sep 25, 2008
I know scamming is really painting Nigeria's image black, but we have to remember that what we have is a democracy.
We cannot say we'll ban these songs 'cus we don't share their point of view.

Afterall, there's no proof whatsoever that they're actually doing the scamming itself.
It's called the freedom of expression. And yeah, it's as powerful as the right to vote.
It's just like saying gangsta rap should be banned in the US . . . imagine the world without hiphop!!!

Banning it is just time wasted as the real 419ers are just in their room with the dialup connection and email extractor software . . . scamming away.

And let me not forget to appreciate ABC's perfect investigation into the whole thing
C'mon, we have to admit that this is more realistic that the rubbish we saw on Oprah . . . one idiot staying there saying all Nigerians are scammers.

lol. . . .
i'm not suggesting looking good is a gay thing, what i am tryin to say is they know their sh.it when it comes to fashion but doesnt necessarily mean the look more good.  wink Although i do tease guys that looks impeccable that they are gay tongue cheesy

I disagree
Gays are fashionable but it doesnt mean straight men too arent but if you compare the percentage of gay n straight guys that are fashionable, im sure the gay men percentage will be far higher than a straight guys.

And yes, i do think men are a better cook cool cool but when it comes to a African delicacies women are better
Depends on what you call fashion
A straight dude is trying to attract ladies, an effeminating homo is trying to attract men
We go about it a different way . . .
They use lip-stick and spandex, we use muscle vests and stuff
Just because they're odd doesn't mean they're fashionable

Cook better?? nah
Let's see . . . Average man VS Average woman??

darefestus:
I think this is just it,those industries try to promote their products among the gay community and nothing more. Those gay guys are not half as fashionable as the straigth, just that their dressing attracts a lot of attention from the outside world and they tend to showcase their dresss talent at the slightest oppurtunity.
Come to think of it,how many are they by the way? wink
How many gay wears ads have you seen??

Hannibal:
If u say that to me, i would bite your face!!! angry angry angry angry
Hehehe . . . that's letting him go scot free

All the fashion industries are now full of gays- designers, stylist, make up artist, you name it
trust me, gay men knows all the latest edition or trend of any designer item before a straight guy does.
C'mon it's only industries like that that will accept effeminating gay-men for work
That doesn't mean they're fashionable

Just because the best chefs in the world are men does not mean most men cook better than women!!

Missy B:
I would appreciate it if anyone can throw light on this topic :

Did God know Adam was going to sin?
If yes. . . then why did he create man and regretted his(man's) creation afterwards according to the book of genesis.?

If No. . . he is  all knowing  and how come he wasn't aware of this one?

Or
Is this one of the things in the bible that doesn't need questionin' and thus. . . I should forget the question and accept it as it is?
The power God has given man is the ability to choose
He has his plans written down 'His plans for us are of good and not of evil to lead to an expected end'
It's our choice to work according to his plans or not

He's still all knowing but He won't force anyone to do the right thing, he just expects us to

Adam decided to choose the disobedient way so God's hands were tied
Romance › Re: By Nature Or Nuture by eldee(m): 10:34pm On Sep 18, 2008
I think homosexuality is a clear case where Nurture wins
It's a case where the young man has been made to believe that he's different by the soceity and his body starts to act it out
How come in 1950s people never used to 'discover' that they were gay
This is a case where a man that does not do sum things is labelled not man enough and he just decides to accept the label

But I know it definitely has nothing to do with Gucci and Prada cheesy
What you're looking for is heterosexual
