It's not enough for him to break up with her, worst thing that a man who likes a lady should do is make her earn your trust again, shikena!

Alot of situations like this occurred with ladies, and they stay put, as long as he meets their criteria for a life partner.
In this particular story all I see is a man who can't handle the truth of her once been married not the number of years she took to say it

I'm sorry but we can't decide deal breakers for other people. If he says what she did was enough for a break up, then it is enough.

Travel / Re: U.S. Student Visa (F1, M1, & J1) Forum - We're Listening by elektra(f): 6:57am On Dec 03, 2016
AbujaNIV

Please I need you attention. I had my interview on 29th November. My visa was approved. I got an email the next day (Wednesday) with an attached document requesting fingerprints. (I did finger printing during the interview, do not know why they need another). The attachment said the fingerprinting can only be done on Tuesdays, no appointment needed.
So I responded to the email (on Wednesday) to enquire about my passport location, I got a response on Friday saying "the records show that I need to submit a new passport photo". ( The response made no mention of the fingerprint request) I went to DHL (collection center) on Friday and submitted the photo.
Now I am confused and worried, do they still need the fingerprint? Was it an error? What exactly is going on? My return flight is on the 10th Dec. So I need that visa processed ad quickly as possible. I cannot reach the consulate on phone and talk to someone immediately, and emails are responded after 2 working days, by the time I get the next response it might be too late to get the visa on time for my trip.

Thank you for the good job. Here is my challenge where I would really appreciate your kind suggestions

F1 visa granted for spring 2016 December 2015. Unfortunately, I was unable to resume at the school due to an extension in the project which I was managing at my place of work. Now the project is over and I deferred my admission to summer 2017. The school has sent new I20 (in transit to my address). Please do shed more light on this. Do I need to visit the embassy again for visa as I still have a valid F1 visa till December 2017? I am aware I need to pay for new sevis as the previous is over 12months. Your inputs would be appreciated

Are you getting a new SEVIS number? The SEVIS number on your I-20 must match that on your visa in order to travel.

Abeg no mind my curiosity. ....but why didnt u apply for renewal through dropbox? ?....

When I was offered the Dropbox option the computer prompt informed me it would take at least 2 weeks from the day I submit my documents for the visa to be ready. I am only in Nigeria for 3 weeks and I still needed to renew my passport before getting the visa, so I chose to be interviewed.

My people, I greet una oh!

I have full coverage and pay $93/month (including renters insurance). Now, I've never been in an accident so I don't know how good my coverage is (even though i have read the policy we all know these insurance companies are crazy). I've used the emergency towing service though at no out of pocket cost.

I renewed my visa at Abuja today. Most of the students interviewed by the woman on window 6 were not approved. A lot of the applicants were ill prepared, many of them could not answer simple questions.
Q: Why did you choose University of xyz
A: I decided to go to the US because it has some of the best schools

Consular officials know that anyone that wrote and passed the GRE shouldn't answer questions like that. I thought some sounded genuine but they were still denied. Please do a thorough investigation on your school and subject before you go because that woman was not playing around.

Congratulations to those who got theirs for the first time! Good luck to those still trying.
Cseejhay how far?

The mere fact that I can read, process your words and respond is prove enough that I have a functioning Brain.

No one needs to see their brain physically to know it is there. It is a proven FACT that humans need brains to function!

How can you compare the presence a vital organ to the existence of witches?

Pray tell. How did you come to this conclusion? Do you have a dictionary that dictates which skin color is attractive and which isn't?

After your sister finish 'hustling', you are now giving 'god' the glory. Was her hustle God approved? No, it was not. But it is through her hustle that your family is now comfortable, and you are here giving god glory.
It is now that you are reaping the fruits of her labour that you are opening your mouth to talk about limit. Why una no limit her that time you people were suffering?

finally got to catch up on the man living in my house and I Love it,I loved intense melodramatic soo ae in mask n I'm loving her silly comedic side here, Jo bo ah is silly n awful but I absolutely love her, she'll be pulling some annoying stunt n I'll just be going "aww she's so pretty, her eyes are like sulli's", a friend of mine has always been into Kim ji hoon n she's always talking about how hot he is but I never saw it probably cos he's short but omG I'm a total convert right now,cos he looks so pretty, yeokshi Korean guys always look hot with their hair pulled up,as for Kim young kwang my love he's just so tall n hot n I really find it hard to pay attention to his acting cos I get so distracted by his lips *yum*, I just hope he doesn't have some kind of terminal illness let it just be phobia that is making him dizzy.

I am also loving the man in my house. I have been so busy with school that I stopped watching shows completely but I am a giant Kim Young Kwang fan and I had to watch it. The first 4 episodes kept me glued because I was so curious about the back story and why he married soo ae's mum but they revealed everything in episode 5 now I'm worried the show might start to get boring. Have you watched Go Ho's starry night? Young Kwang and SNSD Yuri were part of the main cast. I liked it a lot.

Daddytime, have you thought things through? What if the mother decides to relocate to another country? What if she gets married, and her new husband is now the de-facto fatherly presence in the child's life, then what?
If you really want a child, you realise that fertility clinics exist all over Nigeria where people donate eggs and Surrogates exist to carry the (if) successful pregnancy to term, giving you your own child, less complications. If you're serious about this, why not do that? Put your money where your intent is and you can get the ball rolling on the whole process.

But surrogacy will require him to raise the child himself. He not only needs a womb, he also need the woman to raise the kid. (Most likely by herself since they are not married and the kid would be staying with her, but I guess it's no big deal because many of the so called married men do not participate in raising their kids sef so what is the point in marrying?) He wants the kid to bear his name and enjoy the nourishment that comes from a mother.

So what of all those minimum GPA stuff, leadership qualities and winning an olympiad? How did you get around them?
Of course you have to have a competitive GPA! You have to do the work or you won't get accepted, that is why I compared it to a white male with the SAME qualifications. If you want leadership skills on your CV, your best bet is to acquire leadership skills, there are so many ways to demonstrate leadership - join a student organization and run for office. It could be a small student organization that will not require tons of work. Here are some things that could boost your CV:
Volunteer for an NGO during holiday -you can get a good recommendation letter from that.
Learn a skill - it does not have to be in your field of studies but it demonstrates initiative and an interest in learning new things.
Have a small business - even a small garden in from of your house is fine and incorporate what you learn from your business in your personal statement.
Most people who apply to ivy league schools have a near perfect academic record but not all get in. So to be considered you need to set your self apart in some way. As an applicant from Africa, you may not need to think too far from the box because your normal experiences are already very different from most of the other applicants and that is what will set you apart.

We do have enough money, we just don't know how to save and spend. That is a challenge to most people

You are right.
What I was trying to say is the average person always has needs and wants that surpass their income and so if you want to save something has got to give.

Top 100, wow one of my dreams. Don't you need like superhuman abilities to attend one of them?.
Lol, you do not need superhuman abilities.
It is easier for a black female to get into a top school than it is for a white male with the same qualifications. Especially if the said female grew up in Africa and would have a different perspective on a lot of things. Many organization are interested in diversification so don't think you cannot get it. You would be surprised.

I'm interested in the last sentence! How can u be of help pls?

Thanks

It's nothing new, it's the same thing almost every financial book will tell.
- Save first, spend second. I use the 50:25:25 rule, use 50% for needs, 25% for saving, the other 25% for wants.
My dad had set it up so the bank take out the saved 25% and puts it in a fixed deposit account. The secret is holding the deposits for a long time, so your compound interest continues to grow. You can read about stuff like this on countless books and website. My dad also buys and holds stock for a long period.

My daddy! That man has tried for me!
He sacrificed so many things to give me world class education. (I did my undergrad in one of the top 100 schools in the world).
Note that I am the only girl. Many of his friends and colleagues questioned why he would invest so much in his girl child, but he did not answer them.
He is a financial investment wiz and I learnt so much about saving and the art of letting my money work for me.
If there is anyone that has my interest at heart 100%, it is my father. My mama too dey worry about what other people will say.

Family / Re: Urgent Advice Needed: Should I Wait For Her? by elektra(f): 6:18pm On Oct 31, 2016
Lol, here is my own personal experience. I have been asked out by 3 different pastors at different times and they all followed the same format.

The first time I spoke to them was when they made the move to request for my number. From that day onward they start calling every single day just to 'greet' me! If I do not pick, they leave so many missed calls, sometimes running into double digits. And when I call back they said they just wanted to greet me. Ah ah, but you greeted me yesterday now! I did not know how to tell these brothers to let my phone rest. I don't know if this method of getting to know a girl has worked with other ladies before but it was certainly a turn off for me.

Even though they swore heaven and earth that God said I am their wife (which I knew it was a lie because I am more agnostic than I am Christian as my primary reasons for going to church is to make friends and please my parents, they were obviously mistaking my introvertedness for spirituality) I did not give them a chance. I cannot take you seriously if you say you love me when you know nothing about me.

Try to get to know the girl without putting pressure of her. One thing that could work is doing stuff together in the midst of other people like volunteering at charity events, going to church programs together. ETC.

Go back and read the comment I quoted! Do yourself a favour and read it slowlyyyyyy and tell me how you came about your assumption or what you thought I did wrong.
I do not care about the comment you quoted, my response was based on what you wrote. You had earlier reprimanded someone for preferring the Catholic church. You called him "Mr my church is better than yours".
Then you went on to compare trishapal and mandingoxxx's Christianity to someone else's. You even said they should be more like bidoo because he is a true Christian. In order word 'his Christianity is truer than theirs'.
Pray tell, how is that any different from "my church is better than yours"? Do you not see the hipocrisy in what you did?

I am having so much difficulty submitting the ds160 form. I need assistance please.
First, the website keeps saying that "an error occurred while processing my photo try again later", even though it already stated that my photo fit the requirements. My photo is 44kb so size is not the problem. It does not have the 'continue without photo' option anymore so I am stuck on that page. The sign and submit button is not highlighting. I am tired! Please how do I submit this form? I have been on this for 3 days now!
