Properties › Re: Roofing Styles: Which One Do You Prefer? (Photos) by Emeka71(m): 7:07pm On Mar 06, 2024 |
immortalcrown: Why didn't you use the same building design to compare the different roofing styles? You can see that the Gamble roofing style on the first building will not be so bad on the second building but the flat roofing style on that second building will look so bad on the first building.
Therefore, my preference depends on the building design. Duplicate the first building design, try roof A on one copy of the building and try roof B on the other copy of the building. Do the same on the second building design. Then, you will clearly get my point.
I also think that roofing style is not always about style choice but about purpose. For example, solar panels can be the reason for the flat roof. A helipad on a building calls for a flat roof. Weather condition can also influence roofing choice. Imagine a house with a flat roofing style under heavy snow. The flat roof can pack enough snow to pull down the building. The flat roof can even trigger a leakage during serious rainfall. |

TINTINABULATION: This is not the right move honestly. It is obvious the Federal Government of Nigeria is tired of spending billions to feed these inmates.
Rather than decongest the prisons, the Federal Government of Nigeria should look at ways of generating revenues through these able-bodied young men just languishing in prison, eating our foods and contributing nothing to the economy.
It may interest you to know that those Chinese Construction workers are prisoners in their country almost completing their jail term.
We can adopt same model. We have fallow lands where these inmates can work and boost Agriculture. All will be well. Is the de-congestion by releasing the inmates or by building more prison centers? |

Sermon1: **Report: Social Media Outage Crisis**
*Date: March 5, 2024*
*Subject: Widespread Outage of Facebook and Instagram*
*Executive Summary:* On March 5, 2024, Facebook and Instagram, two prominent social media platforms owned by Meta Platforms, Inc., experienced an unprecedented and widespread outage. Users worldwide reported difficulties accessing their accounts, encountering unexpected logouts, and being unable to log back in. This report aims to provide an overview of the outage, its impact, and the official response from Meta Platforms.
*I. Outage Overview:* The outage affected millions of users, disrupting their daily digital interactions and connectivity. Social media, serving as a vital communication tool, became inaccessible for an undisclosed number of users, raising concerns about the reliability and resilience of major online platforms.
*II. Official Confirmation:* Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Platforms, released a statement confirming the outage. In his communication, he acknowledged the technical difficulties and assured users that dedicated teams were actively working to resolve the issues. The statement emphasized the company's commitment to restoring normalcy swiftly.
*III. User Experience:* User frustration manifested across various online platforms as individuals sought alternative means to express their discontent. Memes, humor, and collective expressions of frustration filled the digital space, highlighting the significant impact that social media outages can have on the emotional and social well-being of users.
*IV. Potential Ramifications:* Businesses and influencers heavily reliant on Facebook and Instagram for marketing and engagement faced challenges during the outage. The incident underscores the vulnerability of businesses that depend solely on a single platform for their online presence, highlighting the need for diversified digital marketing strategies.
*V. Conclusion:* As the outage persists, users and businesses alike anxiously await the resolution of the technical issues affecting Facebook and Instagram. Mark Zuckerberg's acknowledgment and commitment to resolving the problem provide reassurance, but the incident underscores the fragility of our digital interconnectedness and the necessity of contingency planning in an era heavily dependent on online communication and social media. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

They should privatize them after much scrutiny. They keep some percentages in all the companies.... The govt can't do anything good.... $700m would've been used for something good When we are lacking in electricity supply this one is talking of gas supply. |

FreeStuffsNG: Lagos has done it again!
The benefits of the internet is so numerous that any society not actively deploying it is left behind in this global village economy.
This data perhaps explains why fake news is more prevalent in those regions in those regions of Nigeria with poor internet use to investigate and confirm if what they heard or shared with them as 'news' is true or false.
But for Rivers state, the whole of the defunct old Eastern region of Nigeria would have been completely missing on the list of top 10. Delta used to be substantially part of old Western region and later part of Mid-west.
I am profoundly proud of the Southwest in terms of how it is increasing its use of ICT and the state Governors must do more. I am not surprised about Kano, they are to the North what Lagos is to the whole of West Africa. Katsina is the one that pleasantly surprised me. This is one of those great times you get good news from Katsina.
Please invest in Lagos today if you love Lagos, the owners of the land and you want great returns on investment and the best investor friendly experience in Africa!
God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs! I know. |
